Park Beck Reviews

The house is ideally located in Windermere, close to the shops and places to eat, and very central for travelling around the Lake District. All the bedrooms were ensuite which was a great bonus, and the living room was spacious and comfortable. The only minor comment I'd make is that the parking spaces out front are very narrow especially the one next to the wall there is really only room for one car to park in front of no 5 especially when those occupying no 3 next door don't stick to their spaces and encroach on the area in front of no 5. However, this was a minor inconvenience. The house itself was perfect for our holiday.
The house was very clean and warm The. Showers were dated and the water could have been hotter Shortage if cutlery we bought more forks Other than mentioned very pleased with the house and great location Would stay there again

Property is well located in Windermere for walking, eating and drinking and driving from as a base. Overall the listing was as described. We had an issue with the front door lock very late one evening that seemed to have seized and we couldnt close the door. We contacted Sykes emergency line who contacted the owner who came straight out to resolve the issue. This was really appreciated. Just one point to make, the manual in the property is out of date and needs bringing updating as we firstly rang the emergency number in the manual as it suggested only to find that the agents no longer looked after the property. Overall though good place to visit the lakes.
Perfect house for a 2 family break. Great facilities, excellent location for walking into Windermere and Bowness. Very clean and comfortable and the welcome hamper was much appreciated. A lamp on the lounge would be a nice addition.
Had a lovely stay, clean and comfortable, only downside was the very small showers, but I suppose thats the price to pay for having your own en suit . Knew the area, stayed 2 doors up 6 years ago. Love Windermere a beautiful place .

Stayed here a group of 8 for a birthday weekend, lovely house and good location . House is spotless and with all the facilities you need .would definitely return .but please read house rules properly as we put rubbish in bin round the back of house and low and behold an angry gentleman came out of the middle of no where shouting have we read the rules as park beck bin in in the front of house and need to deposit rubbish there but we had 2 cars in drive and the bin was hidden ..he was on phone while he was there so don't know who he was talking to about us but it was a genuine mistake ..we then returned the rubbish to the correct bin and went on our way home as he walked away he was like a peepin tom ,but this hasn't put us off returning but will remember to put rubbish in the correct bin

My family stayed at park beck for a long weekend it was very clean when we arrived and great location too. There is also a park further up the road which is great for little ones. We would stay here again .
Very comfortable and cosy place to stay for 8 people. Newly refurbished throughout. Owner has thought of everything to make it a godd a stay as possible. Off road parking for 2 cars and other on road parking nearby Thanks for having us stay !! Fantastic location, only 3 4 mins from Windermere and 10 15 from Bowness. Local pub 3 minute walk. Easy walk from train station too. Can definitely recommend.
