Sheffield Pike Lodge Reviews

The lodge was perfect for our extended family on arrival we were very pleased with presentation. The kitchen is well and amply equipped the only thing I missed was an air fryer and maybe this could be added at some point? Bedding was beautiful and beds were comfy, bathrooms are well presented and everything working well. There is perhaps an air lock or something in the heatingwater system a lot of pipe banging and shaking and the kitchen tap randomly discharged water of its own accord from time to time? However, we were comfortably warm and plenty of hot water. Cleanliness was adequate superficially clean but if you moved anything or looked too closely dust and cobwebs were evident. We loved feeding and watching the birds so thank you for providing for them altho we did see a Mr Ratty several times on veranda. We had a very good holiday and enjoyed our stay sadly, right at the end something really let things down. When I stripped the beds I found some gross stains on the under bedding of the double bed there is no excuse for this obviously your cleaner couldnt be bothered to change it and Im afraid this left a nasty sting in the tail to our stay. The sit is beautiful and very well maintained, we appreciated the enclosed dog field and the helpful lady at reception.

Found it rather cluttered with owners things everywhere fridge definitely needs looking at not working properly, veranda not very clean has for views far to many trees would have been nice about 5 years ago.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday at Sheffield Pike Lodge. The lodge is large & comfortable, ideal for our family of 6. The lodge was perfectly clean & fully equipped for a self catering stay, including bird food for the feeders. The children were fascinated by the different birds that visited. We have stayed at Limefitt many times before but this lodge is probably the best we have booked. Will definitely book again. Thank you.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this lodge! Everything was provided and the beds were super comfy! The lodge was private and had a beautiful view. Right next to the pub too, so was easy to go and grab a pint! Dog field was amazing and to come back to the lodge was wonderful!! Will 100 be booking again!
A lovely site in a beautiful setting, a really smart and cosy lodge. Perfect for a family and a dog.
We spent a week at Sheffield pike lodge. The lodge is really spacious despite there being 6 people and a dog. The large windows have beautiful views of the fells which we looked at all day, and there is a lovely large decking area for when the weather is good. Unfortunately we only got one evening to sit outside because the weather was poor but the views can be seen from the lounge anyway. It is a modern lodge with all the essentials. The only thing that affected us was the complete lack of WiFi which we felt could be easily remedied with a cheap booster. This meant we couldn't listen to music, download films for the kids etc. Over a week that became frustrating. It is also starting to look a little tired, and specifically the mattresses on the single beds need replacing. Otherwise a lovely place to stay. Limefitt park is in a beautiful area of the Lakes and the 2 pubs nearby are great. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The views and the space. What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Walk over to Ambleside
Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it walked over the top of wansfell pike to go to Ambleside which you can do from the park, easy walking into boweness and Windermere, so easy to sit outside with great views, went to the pub also on site which is well organised to suit social distancing, the rock pool in the stream was also good to cool you down after a long walk What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Do wansfell pike to Ambleside
This is a beautiful lodge. It What did you enjoy most about your stay? The lodge was so comfortable and welcoming. What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Visit Brockhole.
The lodge was clean and comfortable and suited our needs. Being dog friendly was a huge plus for us so it really was a family holiday. The Park itself was also very clean and neat. Great facilities for children outdoors. I would not hesitate to recommend. It's in a great location for all The Lakes attractions. What did you enjoy most about your stay? That the children could play out safely and make friends What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Treetop trek at the lakes visitor centre nearby
On arriving at the park we were made very welcome by the Park staff and were given explicit directions. The cabin was very welcoming with Christmas lights and a tree. It was very well equipped with everything that you could think of. There were some nice walks on the park and plenty to do in the surrounding areas. The only downside was the bad weather but that is normal in the Lake District. Overall we had a great time. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Great cabin. very comfortable What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Ravenglass steam railway
A beautiful lodge with all we hoped for and more. Super clean and comfortable. Lovely location with good walks on the doorstep, perfect! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Staying at the logdge was peaceful and relaxing What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Many local walks
I never usually write reviews as one person's view is not generally shared by all, however, I felt compelled to in this instance. We booked this lodge due to overseas holidays being extremely expensive by comparison and right from booking with Lake District Lodge Holidays this has been by far the best, most friendly, most accommodating experience I have ever encountered. The staff are so friendly and in my opinion go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction. We had booked a different lodge to accommodate 4 people, however, due to one of our party not being able to come we asked if we could bring others and bring a put up bed as there would now be additional people. Whilst we appreciated it was a 4 person lodge we were happy to rough it in a put up bed, however, the staff at Lake District Lodge Holidays quickly found an alternative in Sheffield Pike and switched our booking with our consent. On the day of arrival we were stunned at the tranquility and the setting of the park and instantly knew this boded well for a much needed break. Upon checking in and making our way to the lodge we passed several other beautiful lodges and were encouraged as to what we may be able to expect. My wife and my sisterinlaw were the first ones to enter the lodge and whilst I was unloading the car they reemerged with beaming smiles. I simply could not wait to experience what they had just experienced and made my way in. My only words are Wow. The Lodge far exceeded anything I could have ever imagined! Considering this is somebody's actual assetholiday home it felt like it was also my home. The cleanliness was second to none, the personal touches and possessions the owner has put in this lodge are beautiful and stylish and the lodge was also well equipped enabling us to instantly unwind and enjoy our stay. We had 2 dogs amongst our party, a labrador and a spaniel and whilst the lodge only accepted one dog, Lake District Lodge holidays consulted the owner and we were ecstatic to learn due to the breed the owner was happy for us to take the dogs. Our dogs are fully house trained and instantly seemed at home in the lodge and slept with ease. Mind you I guess that could be in part to the amount of walking that we accomplished. The rules of the lodge stipulated dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture and we and they respected that and it is a fair request given other people would want to experience the same luxurious stay that we did. I would like to thank Lake District Lodge Holidays and the owner personally for allowing us to create some wonderful memories. I have already looked to see if I could book next year but it is fully booked What did you enjoy most about your stay? The quality of the lodges fixtures, fittings and the cleanliness. What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? I personally like skelwith bridge to elterwater
We arrived at this fabulous log cabin in the most beautiful setting with the added bonus of glorious sunshine! The park was quiet when we were there, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere although the park is greatly located for getting out and about. We visited the onsite pub once but had most of our refreshments and food in The Queens Head and The Mortal Man , both recommended . The accommodation was truly impressive, high quality furnishings , very spacious and immaculately clean with a large decking area which is raised to take in the lovely views. All in a all from booking , arrival to departure we had the most perfect holiday, highly recommended! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location and accommodation What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Visit to Grasmere
