March House is a detached Lakeland cottage built by its current owners, sitting just one mile from Windermere village in the southern Lake District. With upside-down living across two floors, the upper-floor lounge is positioned to capture spectacular views across the Langdale Pikes and magnificent sunsets. Guests have stayed here 10 or 11 times and keep coming back that says a lot.

The Lake District is right on your doorstep. Windermere is a 20-minute walk through a pretty wood. Orrest Head the first Lakeland walk ever chronicled by Alfred Wainwright is reachable across the field. Ambleside is 5 miles away.

March House is a detached Lakeland cottage built by its current owners, sitting just one mile from Windermere village in the southern Lake District. The cottage sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: a king-size master with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom and a twin room with small doubles. Two bathrooms serve the house. The large wraparound enclosed garden is perfect for children and dogs.
