The property was of a high standard of comfort and cleanliness and we had a very happy week there and would definitely visit again.
The accommodation was spacious and very clean. We did have some problems with the hot water and the heating but owners were very quick to respond themselves and sent a plumber. Because of the the inconvenience we received some compensation without even asking. Very commendable and much appreciated. Would have liked some thicker towels the ones provided are very thin. Sink in the second bedroom needs a light over it as difficult to see. There is no longer a Juliet balcony in the lounge
The owners are very attentive and any queries are dealt with straight away, nothing was too much. The property was very clean and the welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Convenient location. Clean and comfortable. One of the bedrooms is rather small and compact. Beds comfy. Price reasonable. Excellent communication giving details of our holiday beforehand.
Lovely holiday home in a perfect position for both Windermere and Bowness as both in easy walking distance. Everything was catered for and we were made to feel welcome by the owner who was on call if we needed anything. Comfortable, clean and warm. We definitely would love to return. Ideally situated for restaurants, bars and shops and only a 10 minute walk to Bowness pier.

The location of the property was great, and there was parking for 3 cars, which was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

A great property in a great location. Easy to walk into Bowness and well placed to drive to any other location in the lakes. The property itself was clean and spacious while the kitchen had everything you would need to cook. Absolutely no complaints and will happily recommend this place to friends and family.

We couldnt fault our stay at Kempton. The accommodation and location were fantastic. It had everything you needed, although we did eat out most days there was everything you would need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is absolutely perfect for walking down to Bowness and up to Windermere . We found we didnt need to use the car as much as everything is on your doorstep. So many bars and restaurants, all of which are dog friendly which is a must for us. We enjoyed our stay so much weve already booked the Kempton for next year. Would highly recommend the Kempton. Furnished beautifully, very clean and tidy. Oh and a welcome gift which was much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay and looking forward to next year

We were dissatisfied at finding soiled sheets on our beds. The beds had been remade with dirty ones. We had to contact the owner for clean bedlinen. She gave us a refund of 40 for inconvenience but to be Frank with that was not what I call a goodwill gesture but an insult. The kitchen is very very tired. There was not sufficient cleaning products that I would expect to clean any spillages. Towels were marked or had bleach discolouring on them.
Kempton is a lovely house within a short walk of lake windermere and all the shops and restaurants in Bowness. The accommodation was easy to find following great communication from the owners, clean and tidy, well equipped for a family and has a lake view, what more could you ask?
Had a Great holiday. went with our daughter.son inlaw.and granddaughter. beautiful house great location.had a slight problem with wifi contacted owner sorted immediately. what more can you ask everything there you could want, even toys for my 9 month old granddaughter.highly recommend for anybody wanting a relaxing stay everything on your doorstep thank you. Amazing holiday place Spacious beautiful Home from home Ideal location
Overall an excellent stay. Nice clean rooms. Good bathroom facilities with all rooms ensuite. Kitchen with all the essentials. And the bonus for kids a TV which you can air play onto. Good variety of Restaurants less than 10 mins walk away one across the road. Good access to the bus and less than 15 mins walk to the main centre of Bowness and the Beatrix Potter Museum and a mile from Windermere town centre. Pretty good access to roads to get to all parts of the lakes. We really enjoyed our stay, and would thoroughly recommend it.
The property location could not be better, only a couple minutes walk from the centre of Bowness. . Kempton overall was comfortable. It does what it says on the tin as they say.. The one downpoint for us is that it is in need of an overall refurb etc. It feels tired, and in places looks tired. We found mould on the back of the curtains in the dining room, that was worrying as we had a guest with severe asthma. Overall yes we enjoyed the break and Kempton served its purpose but unfortunately I dont think some of our friends will look at booking the property again..

Kempton had everything we needed, great communal spaces, spotlessly clean and an amazing location to Bowness & Windermere with a very short walk to the lake front! Huge bonus of large living area with gorgeous dining room. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends! We've stayed in many places in Bowness throughout the years and this property was by far the best! Thank you so much Georgie for making us feel so welcome!
Friendly owners,made you feel welcome and able to contact them if there were any problems. Well equipped accommodation all rooms have en suite bathrooms which gives you privacy even when staying with family. Plenty of nice little touches to make the accommodation feel homely cds,dvds and local information a plenty. Quick and efficient at returning housekeeping bond at the end of our holiday, thank you. Would stay again at this accommodation.

We all enjoyed our week at Kempton, a very comfortable, clean and well equipped house. We would recommend and would stay there again if we visit the area again. We did have a problem but it was solved immediately by a phone call with Georgie, fantastic service! The house is very convenient for Bowness, just a short walk for the shops and places to eat which was great as parking during a bank holiday weekend could be difficult. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area, Ambleside, Wray Castle, Tarn Hows and lots more.

This is a beautiful cosy little home in a great location right in the middle of Windermere and Bowness. It has all of the facilities you could possibly need. We were a party of 4 adults and 1 dog, the location was great for walking him as well as going out for fooddrinksexploring etc. The homeowners were absolutely brilliant too, ensuring we had everything we needed and our security deposit was returned straight away on returning from holiday. We will definitely be visiting again.
Had a lovely weekend at the Kempton. Location superb , facilities great , would definitely return out of season as excellent value for money end of Feb .

Lovely house with parking and spotlessly clean. Nice and warm during the stormy weather and great having all rooms with ensuite facilities. Some decor dated but if you don't mind this it's a good holiday house with a view of the Langdale hills across Lake Windermere. Very comfy sofas! Owners have excellent communication if you ask them a question and a package of treats including wine was a lovely welcome for us. Great location for heading south to the aquarium, the local cinema was good and just a few minutes walk down the road, and not far to drive to Ambleside, Grasmere, Elterwater etc.

Ideal property for three couples,very well equipped, very centrally located but with excellent private parking for three cars. Owners very attentive and brought an issue reported by the previous guests to our attention and corrected it immediately. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous house, great location . The house is situated between Windermere and Bowness and all the facilities they have to offer. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival. Nice sunny bbq area to rear of the property. Great to have parking for three cars. Any problems we had were sorted out quickly.,
We had a very comfortable week in this well appointed house which was a few minutes walk to the local shops and the lake. Many boat trips can be booked just up the road. The situation is very convenient with ample off road parking. Having 3 bedrooms all with ensuites was ideal for privacy and comfort. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was very quiet and we totally relaxed all week. The owner communicated with helpful check in detailsCovid requirements so we had no worries. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely clean house to others.

Great location, very short walk to amenities and lake Windermere. Good spacious living room and comfortable furniture, also separate dining area which was ideal as lockdown restrictions meant only outdoor eating for restaurants so had breakfast in kitchen equipment and cutlery all good standard. Bedrooms all decent size and all with ensuite, 1 ensuite also had huge bath which was great to relax in. Good communication with owner for checking in & out etc. Would recommend and will likely stay again.
