Lovely cottage that is just 10 mins walk away from the lakeside and an excellent basecamp to go exploring the local area. The cottage was spotless when we arrived, with a wellequipped kitchen and lots of information about the surrounding area. We would defiantly stay here again if its available.

Great cottage in ideal location. Very quiet street but just ten mins walk to the lakeside. Easy to get around to places you need to drive to as well . Cottage was clean comfy and very homely. Couple of other reviews have mentioned about the parking. Didnt always manage to park out front but loads of space up the hill. Just a comment rather than a negative at all. If we venture that way again we would def look this place up to see if its free.!

What a lovely cottage it is clearly a loved and well maintained. The location is perfect ideal for popping into bowness or windermere and on a lovely quiet street. We managed to park the car easily and it was left pretty much the whole week as there was a bus stop literally at the end of the road. The kitchen was great and well stocked with cooking equipment , washer and a heated drying rail. The only issue we had was the dishwasher wasnt working. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms were all good sizes the dressing room was a lovely touch.

Beautiful place on the doorstep to the lake,loved every minute staying here. Home from home,had to leave early on the Sunday sorry left the dishwasher clean but full.would definitely return.

The accommodation was perfect. Pretty little cottage on the outside but modernised to a high standard inside. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was great and we didn't use the car at all during our stay. It was a short stroll to shops, restaurants, the lake and some of the hiking paths. There was a bus stop at the end of the road with regularly running buses even on Sundays and bank holidays so we got to visit Ambleside and Grasmere as well.

The house has been modernised to a high standard and was spotlessly clean. It was comfortable and had everything that we could have wanted. We really enjoyed our stay there its also in a good location. Thank you!

Fabulous cottage in a great location. Easy access to Bowness and its services and facilities. Incredibly well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Very well presented. Parking might be problem at peak times. We parked up when we arrived at 2 clock, and when we returned at 4 o'clock pretty much all the on street parking near the cottage was taken. Parking was available a little further away.

Beautiful cottage with all of the home comforts. Decor was lovely and the beds comfy.Parking ok and the street was very quiet.short walk away from restaurants,bars and shops.

Wonderful cottage very comfortable with nice touches like the blankets on the sofas which were appreciated as it was cool thanks to the Great British summer. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and we cooked most nights in it. The bed in the master bedroom was amazingly comfortable like sleeping on a cloud we very much enjoyed it! Location is perfect with a short walk to pubs shops and the lake. Parking was generally okay but did get very busy. Luckily my husband is good at parallel parking and could squeeze into small spaces. We had a lovely week. One small thing there is an infestation of woodlice coming from somewhere and getting stuck in the carpet on the stairs as its lovely and thick. We encountered at least 30 stuck in the carpet during our stay which isnt great for the bug phobic. We dealt with them but it may need pest control. The WiFi also kept cutting out and wasnt very reliable. Overall these small issues didnt impact us badly and we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Snowdrop cottage is a very comfortable, tastefully furnished and well equipped house. We didnt do any cooking in the house but the kitchen appliances were all top brand. The house is in a perfect location. It is within walking distance of Bowness and Windermere with a great choice of restaurants and pubs. You can also walk to the lake and take a boat trip. Its only a short drive to many other lovely villages and towns such as Grassmere. We had a wonderful stay in Snowdrop cottage and I would fully recommend it!

Snowdrop Cottage was just right for us, halfway between Windermere and Bowness, walking distance from both. Close to shops and cafes, and all transport links yet tucked away in a quiet location. We only used the car once during our stay frequent buses are available to visit a lot of places. To visit Hilltop Farm Beatrix Potters home its a walk and ferry ride but there are buses too for weary legs. The house itself was clean and comfortable smallest bathroom Ive seen but added benefit of dressing room nearby. Sunny little courtyard garden most of the day.

Dusty under sofa and chair. Fridge faulty. No mat in slippery bath. Shower like a dripping tap.

Broadband is not up to expectations. 5mbs at best during our stay. No good if like our stay its raining and you want to stream a movie. Other than that the cottage is perfect and the well equipped kitchen was perfect for our needs. Clean and comfortable with excellent central heating.

This property feels like a home as oppose to a holiday home. Everything is provided and you could easily cook a meal in the kitchen there is a proper size cooker, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and half size dishwasher. There is enough cutlery, plates, saucepans, glasses mugs etc.The property is warm and cosy and if needed there is a gas fire in the lounge area there are also real fireplaces which I assume you can use in the winter. It is a small garden but there is a table and chairs to be able to sit outside. On the corner of the road there is a green space if you have a child who wants to run around. The WiFi is good enough for browsing, kids tablets and using apps like Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon video on the smart tv provided. The location is perfect it is in Bowness which is a lovely town. The property is within easy walking distance 5 minutes walk to lots of restaurants, bars, shops, the Beatrix Potter exhibition, small cinema and the jetty on Lake Windermere where you can get the boats to Ambleside etc. a little further past the jetty is the car jetty to take you across to where Beatrix Potters house is. By car it is easy to get to other main towns and tourist spots of the Lake District. The only downsides are the bathroom is quite small and the shower hasnt got great pressure but is certainly useable but that could be due to us having power showers at home so use to very powerful showers, whereas the shower in the property is an electric one. However it is hot water on demand which was good and the towels provided are lovely and fluffy. The other issue is parking it is on road parking. The road isnt permit only so people park their cars there and walk into town as there isnt a lot of parking in the town. We were there over the Easter weekend and ended up using one of the businesses parking space on their drive obviously after contacting them and residents of the road as there was no space on the road. After the bank holiday it became a lot easier to park on the road and we didnt then have an issue but Im not sure what it would be like to park in the summer holidays. However on speaking to a neighbour they are trying to get permit parking for the road which will probably make it a lot easier to park as there is certainly enough parking spaces for the number of houses.

Just returned from a fantastic week in Snowdrop Cottage. The property was immaculate, comfortable and well equipped with a lovely cosy homely feel.

We are just back from a short stay at the lovely Snowdrop Cottage. Such a beautiful cottage, homely, comfortable, everything you could need for a perfect stay. We've stayed in many different cottages in Bowness, but Snowdrop Cottage was by far the best. We enjoyed the gas stove in the lounge area, especially in the chilly October evenings. All the furnishings were to a very high standard, and beautifully presented. The property was spotlessly clean. Parking was never a problem. With just a short walk in to Bowness to the many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, and of course to Lake Windermere all on the doorstep. We will definitely be staying at Snowdrop Cottage again.

Snowdrop cottage is beautiful, homely and cosy with everything you could want. The welcome pack and fire pack were a joy and the cleanliness was exceptional. It is only a few minutes walk from the main street and we had no problem parking. The one thing I will mention was the awful smell in the kitchen on the first day. We soon realised it was the drainage from the bathroom as it came through the sink plughole when that tap was being run. I poured boiling water down which seemed to help a little. Please do not take this as a negative as it did nothing to spoil our stay. Also, we had no wifi at all on the last night....again, no one's fault. We would not hesitate to book again and would like to say Thank you for all the thought that has gone into making your visitors stays as warm and inviting as possible.

Amazing cottage. Clean spacious, good furniture and appliances, comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. Nice location, quiet & peaceful, easy walk to Bowness and Windermere, lovely walk to Brant Fell. Parking can be difficult, sometimes needed to park 1 street away. Sykes were very helpful and made the whole holiday more relaxing. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Snowdrop cottage. The cottage was immaculate. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the shower over the bath had good pressure and there was plenty of hot water. The property was furnished to a high standard.

This property was fantastic. It's location, cleanliness and the fact that it is so well equipped, made it an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. We have stayed in a number of holiday properties over the years, in different localities but agreed that this is the best by far. We felt that a lot of care and attention has been taken in the furnishing and decor of the house, which really set it apart from others. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday property and hope to stay again in the near future.

Perfect holiday cottage. Beautifully appointed. Lovely bedrooms and the dressing room was my favourite room! A short walk into Bowness down the hill and Windermere in the other direction. We got parking outside on the road, which was great. All instructions were good and the 4 of us loved it all. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and the instruction booklet was useful on how to work the oven etc., and lots of leaflets with things to do in the area. A lovely big sitting room and dining table. Cant fault it! Thanks for a wonderful week away!

Had a fantastic week staying in this cottage. Cleanliness and facilities were outstanding.

The cottage itself is within walking distance to both towns Windemere and Bowness on Windemere. The property is very clean and comfortable with all the essential things washing machine, airdryer, dishwasher. The only issue we had was parking. The cottage only comes with offstreet parking which can be very difficult during peak holiday season. We were there over the long weekend on Easter holiday and have to go back early in order to find the parking space. Other than that, we give 10 out of 10 for the house.

The cottage was perfect for myself and two boys. It was comfy, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The cottage was in a perfect location to walk into Bowness, which took 5 mins! We were very happy staying here and I would rebook Snowdrop Cottage next time I come to The Lakes.

Lovely property, very well equipped and extremely clean. On a lovely quiet street yet only a few minutes walk from bowness on Windermere town. We were very comfortable here for our week in the lakes and would definitely book again. As my 6 year old said mummy it feels like home!

This is the best cottage we have ever stayed in, it had everything you need and was extremely comfortable. It was 5 mins from the centre of Bowness but in a very quiet road. We would definitely book again!

Quite the loveliest house! Beautifully furnished and with everything you could wish for. Huge and very comfy bed. The house is in a quiet setting but easy to reach the village amenities. We will certainly stay here on our next visit to the Lakes.
