The property was a lovely open plan space. Plenty of room for x6 people. Steps up to the property were a little precarious especially when it had been raining. The boiler pressure also kept dropping,so when this happened there was no hot water or heating available. Thankfully I knew how to sort to enable us to have hot water, but had to sort numerous times in the day. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, and within 5 mins walk to the centre of Windermere.

Great location with parking. Lovely apartment with everything you need but there were no instructions for the heating and it appeared that the upstairs heating was not switched on at all luckily the beds were comfy and warm. The lighting in the bathroom needs attention as dim and offering no light from evening time.

I booked this a few weeks back for me, my partner & our teen. After reading some of the views I was a little concerned but after arriving I was pleasantly surprised. Its clean and fresh, could do with some updating but fresh towels were put out & fresh bedding in each room, where the apartment is, is perfectly placed and close to everything. The only things I can really point out, accessibility wise, its up some quite steep steps and the main handle door locking mechanism is becoming loose so that needs to be fixed but we were very happy with it

Description of steps was incorrect it was steep stairs and was conveniently not shown in picture. Oven had not been cleaned. The carpet at bedroom door was turned up and a trip hazard. The sink in the bathroom leaked badly. PAT testing was out of date. When I telephoned on arrival and asked to be relocated I was told could not be done because property owner was first priority. Customer satisfaction does not seem to matter.

Advertised as a cottage on Expedia. No picture of giant stairway up to an apartment. Listing says free WiFi but paper in the apartment said noWiFi. Beautiful big TV but no cable or internet No paper towels to clean up with, stained linen on master bed. Stained and peeling up carpet in upstairs hallways was embarrassing and tripping hazard, should absolutely be replaced. Towels were fresh and clean.

Positives Great location, easy checkin, value for money if as listed, convenient parking. Negatives Should have made us aware about the recent leak in the property. Property was not clean with a lot of underlying dirtgrime. Found hairs in bedding. TV did not work. Bathroom sink was broken.

The property was listed as having wifi and tv, which was not the case tv didnt work and there was no wifi. Requested that dishes were washed before we leave, but no dishwashing liquid was provided. 2 toilet rolls for 6 people was a bit too little

The accommodation is well appointed and in a good location close to amenities. However we felt the accommodation had not been thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Floors were dusty, one towel was covered in make up, carpets had not been hoovered. The walls of the property were covered in marks especially going up the stairs which didnt make any difference to our stay but made the property look uncared for. In general is was a litttle rough around the edges.

It is quite an unassuming place from the outside, in a block of holiday home flats, but it is so lovely on the inside. We had a great time, the facilities were perfect there is no dishwasher however and the flat was very clean. The location is perfect, it's a 4 minute walk into Windermere and to the shops restaurants cafes and about 30 minutes to BownessonWindermere where you can rent boats on the lake. We were a group of 5 and would definitely stay there again! Thank you!

Apartment had a well equipped kitchen, although a few more mugs would have been appreciated. The constant hot water and big fluffy towels were really appreciated The stairs up to the front door were much steeper than I had anticipated The back bedroom had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival My main complaint was the state of the beds. I had not slept well, but it was not until we were leaving and checked under the beds to ensure we were not leaving anything behind that I realised why. The bed in the back bedroom was held up by blocks of wood in the centre. There were also broken slats on the bed in the front double bedroom

The apartment has a great location in the heart of Windermere. It is comfortable and well appointed. We particularly loved the kitchen and the coffee table books that we could browse through. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the TV is really huge.

The apartment was very nice inside, although i would not class it as 100 child friendly. There were no stair gates for our 18 month old, so we had to constantly watch her like a hawk. Also within the bathroom, the shower screen was not water tight, and did not contain the water very well when using the shower. I think that there should be reference made in the listing to the steep steps leading into the property, as this would not be ideal for the less mobile.On the whole though a very nice apartment.

Had a lovely holiday and its a great apartment, however we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. There were complimentary jam and marmalades but they had been opened already and used, and not replaced. The sofa also had lots of crumbs and dirt on, and the carpets could have done with a good hoover. It felt like the cleaning was a bit rushed.

Great walking distance from Bowness and Orrest Head.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is in a brilliant location and really well appointed. Not what we were expecting from the outside but beautiful inside. Beds are really comfy and there is everything you could need. For those with children there is a great park two minutes walk away on park avenue and plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants within easy walking distance. There is sky but it is a basic package and cant watch on demand without WiFi so might be better to have WiFi and just use the smart tv. We would return.

Property in a great location and easy to get to. We had a slight issue with the iron and ironing board but was resolved promptly with minimal fuss. Would recommend Sykes and this property to friends and family.

Lover the place and area and will definatly visit again asap. We did have trouble getting the hob to work so it may be worth checking out and if everything is fine, leave some instructions for use. Didn't effect us as we only had breakfast and ate out as we had planned.
