What a fantastic location and accommodation. We had a very relaxing time at the property, enjoying the sound of the river and sheep. We were able to get into the river to cool down as well. A good location in order to get to places such as Wray Castle, Holehird, Rydal, The Victoria Wood Theatre, Wansfell, Townend etc. If we were to be very picky then you may want to consider the following 1. A new toaster the old one has lost its ping and you have to use a knife to get the toast out! 2. The shower door handle is loose. 3. The downstairs hot tap is very loose. 4. The lamp in the lounge doesn't work but to be fair this may just need 2 new light bulbs which we only found on the last day! 5. It would have been nice to have a clothes horse or washing line to dry clothes some clothes can't go into a tumble drier. 6. If your guests have travelled a long way and are arriving late then a welcome pack would be appreciated e.g. tea, coffee, milk, shower gel. We had a great time and the setting was amazing. Very nice property, tucked out the way and private. Very warm and very comfortable beds. Sky tv and Netflix for settling down at night. Kitchens very well equipped and nice views. Overall, a very relaxing house with some lovely walks on the doorstep. The Old Post Office in Troutbeck, serves up some beautiful food and home made fare to boot, sitting beside an open fire, well worth a visit.

Beautiful week at Riverside with our family. Cottage was clean, comfortable and the views were to die for. So peaceful and relaxing. Our girls loved waking up to the sheep every morning and made up a story about Tina the Trout that lived in the river! She was a cheeky trout though who kept leaving notes everywhere! It was magical for them! The cottage itself had everything you needed for a comfortable week, well stocked kitchen, lots of space and ample amenities like soap and toilet roll! The terraces were lovely and we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and wine in the evening depending on where the sun was! Great base to visit the Lakes, only comment would be for a folder or bigger information sheet about what there is to do in the area. It didnt matter too much to us as we know the Lakes well but might be helpful for families that havent visited the area as much. We did a lovely couple of walks, Rydal Caves and Stock Ghyll force. Visited Sizergh Castle and Grizedale Forest. Had some lovely meals in The Mortal Man and The Queens Head in Troutbeck.

An outstanding property with fabulous amenities perfect for multiple families. It had everything you needed to make it home and the surroundings were idyllic.
