About Broad Larch Lodge

Broad Larch Lodge is a three-bedroom holiday lodge at Fallbarrow Park on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. Set among mature trees in a quieter section of the park, it's a short walk from Bowness-on-Windermere town centre and the lakeside. The lodge scores 4.9 out of 5 across 129 guest reviews and has a strong following of repeat visitors who return year after year.

Fallbarrow Park sits right on Lake Windermere. On-site you'll find a bar and restaurant, arcade, children's play area, multisports court and a SPAR shop just 0.1 miles away. Bowness town centre is a two-minute walk. Boat trips, paddleboarding and lake activities are all on your doorstep.

Three bedrooms sleep up to six: a king-size master with en-suite thermostatic shower room, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. There's also a family bathroom with over-bath thermostatic shower. The open-plan living space has a fully equipped kitchen with island breakfast bar, dining table for six and a 50" Sky TV with Sports and Cinema channels.

Broad Larch Lodge is a solid choice for couples wanting a Lake District base with real comfort. The king-size master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room. Pet Friendly
Dogs are not permitted inside Broad Larch Lodge. This is a strict no-dog property. Fallbarrow Park does allow dogs on the wider park grounds but they must remain on leads at all times and cannot be left unattended in any lodge on the park.

Does this cottage have a hot tub?
Broad Larch Lodge does not have a hot tub. The lodge does offer a private fenced decking area with outdoor seating for six people on a sunny south-west facing aspect.
Is it pet friendly?
Dogs are not permitted at Broad Larch Lodge. Fallbarrow Park does allow dogs on the wider park but they must be kept on leads at all times and cannot be left alone in lodges.
How many does the lodge sleep?
The lodge sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. There is a king-size master bedroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
What bathrooms are there?
The master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with a corner thermostatic shower, hand basin and toilet. There is also a family bathroom with an over-bath thermostatic shower and screen, hand basin and toilet.
Is there parking at the lodge?
Parking for two to three cars is available immediately in front of the lodge with additional off-road parking available on the resort. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the lodge; the nearest charging point is at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.
What facilities are available on the park?
Fallbarrow Park has an on-site bar and restaurant, arcade, children's play area, multisports court, SPAR shop, beer garden, picnic area and woodland walks. A gym and indoor pool are also available at the resort though additional fees may apply.
What is the WiFi like at the lodge?
The lodge has limited WiFi access suitable for browsing and emails. It is not intended for high data usage, gaming or business use and bookings cannot be accepted from guests solely reliant on uninterrupted or unlimited internet access.
What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is at 10am. The park entrance gates are locked at midnight so guests arriving after midnight will need to contact the night warden.

We have stayed at Broad Arch Lodge 5 or 6 times and we have metspoken to the owner too who has great customer care skills and looks after the Lodge herself. The Lodge is quite excellent. Superbly equipped. Clean. Very comfortable. Spacious. Perfect. Everything you need is available. Room for two cars or three on a short term basis if a visitor arrives. So close to Bowness for pubsrestaurantsshops etc. The Park is lovely tooruns down directly to the Lake.

Really loved the lodge, excellent location for the Lakes. Well fitted out with all you would need. Comfortable and a lovely quite location. Bowness is just a 2 min walk away, so for shops and leisure you don't have to drive. It is spacious and ample for the 5 of us that stayed there. We would certainly go again.
We had a lovely weeks stay, home from home. We've stayed on the park many times before but this was our first time booking through sykes cottages and staying at broad Larch. Such a cosy lodge, perfect location and very spacious. We can't wait to come back!

The lodge was lovely, spacious and clean. Everything you needed already provided in the kitchen, they included a high for us which was very handy. The close proximity to the lake and town was perfect so you dont have to drive everywhere. We will definitely be booking again.
The lodge was very clean and homely. It had everything we needed and more. We are a family of 4 adults and it was perfect for our Christmas getaway. The location is a stone's throw from the centre of Bowness on Windermere which was ideal. Very relaxing week which was just what we needed. Communication with Kim was excellent. The goodies which we were greeted to went down very well. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to come back.

This was our 2nd time visiting the lodge and wont be the last. The lodge has everything you could ask for whether that be a full entertainment package through the tv if the weather restricts your outdoor activities to having excellent cooking facilities to prepare large meals if you choose to dine in. 6 adults on this occasion and not once did we feel in each others space, thank you.

Such a beautiful lodge , this was our second stay after we fell in love with it last year . The attention to detail is outstanding , the welcoming gift of biscuits and wine is much appreciated. Everything you could ever need is there including some toys and games also books for adults.

Had an issue with loud music from next door, this was promptly taken care of no problems after that. Close to the shops and surrounding area. Would not hesitate to recommend

A lovely lodge with excellent facilities. It was really nice to arrive to a pint of milk, teabags and biscuits a lovely touch. The rooms all have tvs and with it's own wifi the kids were happy. We chose this one as we needed a bigger lodge this time and would definitely again should the need arise. One of the best we have stayed in and we have been a few times.

We have just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay at this really beautiful lodge. Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you need, a true home from home. The owner has thought of absolutely everything you need and more. Very much appreciated the little welcome pack of tea, coffee biscuits etc... as well. We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning next year for certain. We were also blessed with fantastic weather which made our holiday that bit more special. What a beautiful lodge. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. Within walking distance of Bowness and everything this charming town has to offer. No need to use the car as could use boat or bus if needed. I would recommend Mountain Goat tours who will pick up ftom Fallbarrow Park. So much to do there so will need to come back. I did notice in previous reviews a few people mentioned the low corner sofa and I'd have to agree that it could prove awkward on the neck to watch tv. I would suggest perhaps the tv has a bracket that allows it to tilt forward. Besides that I couldn't fault a thing and had a lovely time.

Wow we were blown away by this stunning lodge . Everything about it inside and out was perfect . Classy, comfortable ,clean , toys , games , great location everything you could possibly want or need was included. It feels private with a hedge at front . The owners had left a welcome pack of tea coffee biscuits, a lovely touch which made us feel very welcome. Just a heads up that both fridge and freezer were turned off so we turned them on and key code hadnt been scrambled when we arrived. We cannot wait to return
