From Bowness Pier you can start an unforgettable day out on the water with Windermere Lake Cruises or rent a canoe or a motorboat. Bowness is home to many shops, bars and restaurants too. Fallbarrow has on site bar, restaurant shop, and deli should you wish to stay local to your lodge. There’s a children’s play area, beer garden, picnic area and woodland walks. Further afield, drive up to Windermere village – two miles away, or the bustling market town of Ambleside four miles away. You are only 4 miles from Troutbeck village at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass which winds its way up over the high fells and then down to Ullswater.
