For Families
Limefitt Holiday Park has an outdoor children's play area, a games room and a zipwire on site (additional fee applies). The lodge has DVDs, books and family games inside. Windermere boat trips, Go Ape adventure park and Bowness are all within a short drive. The woodland beside the lodge is great for spotting deer and squirrels.
For Couples
The private end-of-cul-de-sac position with no passing traffic makes this a genuinely quiet retreat. The elevated decking with Troutbeck Valley views is ideal for evening meals outside. The Haybarn Pub is two minutes' walk and Windermere's restaurants, cafés and independent shops are five miles away. Guests have described it as cosy and homely even in poor weather.
Pet Friendly
Up to two dogs are welcome. The decking is securely gated so dogs can sit outside safely. A woodland path runs directly beside the lodge. The park has a designated dog walking field. The Haybarn Pub two minutes' walk away is dog friendly. Dogs must stay on leads on the park and must not be left alone in the lodge.

Does this cottage have a hot tub?
Ambleside Lodge does not have a hot tub. However, the elevated decking with outdoor furniture and those Troutbeck Valley views makes the outdoor space a real highlight in its own right.
Is it pet friendly?
Yes, up to two dogs are welcome at Ambleside Lodge. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the park and must not be left alone in the lodge. The securely gated decking is ideal for dogs and a woodland path sits directly beside the lodge.
How many people does the lodge sleep?
The lodge sleeps six guests across three bedrooms. There is a king-size master bedroom, a double room and a twin room with full-size beds.
How many bathrooms are there?
There are two bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a separate family bathroom with a bath, over-bath shower, hand basin and toilet.
Where exactly is the lodge on the park?
Ambleside Lodge sits at the very top of Limefitt Holiday Park in the Fellside area, at the end of a cul-de-sac beside woodland. It is not overlooked and has no passing traffic, making it one of the most private positions on the park.
How far is it from Windermere and Ambleside?
Both Windermere and Ambleside are approximately five miles from the lodge, around 10 minutes by car. Bowness is also around 10 minutes away. The lodge is well placed for exploring the central Lake District.
Is there parking at the lodge?
There is off-road parking for two cars directly at the lodge. Additional parking is available at the park reception if needed.
What facilities are available on the park?
Limefitt Holiday Park has the Haybarn Pub just two minutes' walk away, a small shop at reception, a laundrette, children's play area, games room, dog walking area, picnic area and a zipwire available for an additional fee.
