2 The Stables is a ground-floor studio apartment on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria. It sits in a quiet corner of this popular lakeside town with the banks of Windermere just half a mile away. Joined the collection in 2024 and managed by Alfie, it's been finished to a high standard throughout.

Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the Lake District's most visited towns. You're walking distance from the lake, boat hire, waterfront pubs and restaurants. The surrounding fells offer excellent walking and hiking straight from the door.

The apartment sleeps two guests in a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton linen. The open-plan lounge, kitchen, diner and bedroom is light and airy. The kitchen has an oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There's a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Towels are included and there's Wi-Fi throughout. A parking permit for local car parks is provided.

The World of Beatrix Potter (0.3 miles), Windermere Jetty Museum (0.5 miles), Blackwell Arts and Crafts House (2 miles, 7 mins) and Brockhole on Windermere (3 miles, 10 mins) are all close by.

For Families

2 The Stables is a studio apartment sleeping two guests only. It is designed for couples and is not suited to families with children. There is no extra sleeping space and the open-plan layout offers no separation. Families should look at larger properties in the Bowness area.

For Couples

This is a purpose-built couples retreat. The king-size bed has Egyptian cotton linen and the open-plan kitchen is set up for romantic meals in. Bowness-on-Windermere is right on the doorstep with lakeside walks, boat trips and waterfront dining all within half a mile. Previous guests called it beautiful and relaxing.

Pet Friendly
