The house was nice, clean, comfortable and spacious with all of the amenities we could have needed. The only major issue we had was that the toaster didn't work which we tried contacting the owners about to no avail

Lovely location, right on the doorstep of shops and restaurants, yet still peaceful enough to rest and unwind. The lake is around 3040 minutes from the cottage, making it easy to enjoy day trips without feeling rushed. The owner is attentive and quick to respond via email, which adds to the smooth experience. The cottage itself is well equipped, clean, and clearly well cared for. There are plenty of activities nearby, especially boat rides and scenic walks, so theres always something to do. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with a great balance of relaxation and accessibility

Very spacious property in the centre of Windermere. We had no issues with staying here, very clean and equipped with everything you need. We found parking no problem and we will use this place again Im sure. Information about check in out very clear and sent to us well before we arrived Great place to stay.

We had a brilliant few days at Nutkin Cottage, the location was perfect, literally a few steps from the centre of Windermere. As a family of 4, visiting with my mum as well, the cottage was just what we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Group of 6 booked for 2 nights, the cottage is a lot bigger than expected which is perfect! Its very cozy and the rooms are spacious with a full kitchen. We only had one issue during the stay which was a small leak from the the ensuit into the living room, luckily we noticed it within time and reported it to the owner who sent maintenance around the same day to fix the issue. We decided to not use this shower for the remaining of the stay just incase but it didn't impact our stay at all, as a group of 6 we would definitely recommend this place and would look to book again as the location is ideal

My family 2 teens, 2 adults had a fabulous week at Nutkin Cottage, with friends in the cottage next door Snowflake which worked perfectly. Nutkin Cottage is clean, wellfurnished and very wellequipped, with thoughtful details and decor. Its spacious but cosy and close to everything in Windermere whilst also being quiet at night especially the loft room. Literally 1 minute walk to the town centre with cafes, pubs, wine bars, gift shops, ice cream parlours, butchers, bakers and a Coop, Sainsburys and Booths supermarket. Lake Windemere is a 20 minute walk from the cottage and spectacular. We did a day SUPing, kayaking and swimming, a day hiking, ferrying to the West side and a day hiring our own little motorboat. We were very lucky with the weather which helped, but Nutkin Cottage would be great in all conditions. In short, highly recommend.

When arrived at the property we were able to park outside. The opposite side of the road is permit only MonFri 9am to 6pm. However can park for one hour in these times. This allowed us to unpack. The parking is in the next street and a very short walk. We managed to get early bird parking most days before 9am cost is 1.20 all day to 8pm. Then free overnight to 8am. On first impression the cottage was clean and welcome packs of refreshments was left along with cleaning pack. The cleaning team and maintenance do let the owner down. But this has been raised and the owner is dealing. A few issues were addressed whilst there. Cottage is very spacious and comfortable. The main tv was broken on arrival and the owners kindly delivered and installed a new one the next day. The open fire is beautiful and well used on our visit. Kitchen is fully fitted with all equipment you would need. Including washer dryer and dishwasher. The beds were comfortable and clean mattresses. All laundry looks to be laundered which is the norm for holiday lets. Towels brilliant! I say this as most places have small bath towels. These were bath sheets! Owners are new and very responsive and are making changes as we speak. I would highly recommend Nutkin cottage. The area is lovely. About 1 mile walk to the lake down hill. Lots of lovely shops around the corner from cottage and plenty places to eat our favourite was san Pietro.

On arrival we were disappointed to find that the property was very dirty, the hallway entrance had not been vacuumed and in the lounge there were food crumbs and Jam on the floor. Cobwebs from the ceiling and around the fire places in the lounge and dinning area and vertical dusty. We had been left only one half used toilet roll, and the bedrooms had not been vacuumedand only 1 set of towels. This not not the welcome we expected

This cottage is in a great location close to various cafe, restaurants, pubs, convenience stores, and shops in Windermere town centre. Inside the house we found it cosy with a modern kitchen and all necessary appliances including washerdryer that we can use to wash little ones cloth. There are also three bathrooms and three smart TVs in living and bedrooms, which is very convenient for us six people from multiple generations to stay. We enjoyed our time in Nutkin cottage and explored lake districts around WindermereBownessAmbleside with plenty of wonderful walks, scenery, water activities, parks & sites for children play. Will recommend to others and try to book another stay in Nutkin next year.
