Great location and very well appointed accommodation, especially the kitchen. Finding a close parking space can be difficult at times and access to the unit could be challenging for less mobile residents due to the several flights of stairs to be climbed. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and small supermarkets.

Awful experience and a waste of almost 400. Listing was misleading and did not mention this was on the 2nd floor with very steep steps. It ruined the holiday for me and our family. We had an 11monthold baby with us and a pushchair, but it was almost impossible to carry it upstairs or bring back.

When first entering there was a bad drain type smell in the hallway and bathroom. I bought a Glade air spray for strong odours and spayed throughout. I reported the smell, a guy came but said he couldnt detect a bad smell, maybe because I had sprayed so much. The smell was there again each time we returned and when we got up requiring spraying again. This spoilt what would have been an ideal break, as the apartment was very well equipped, modern, comfortable, plenty of hot water, and conveniently very close to the town centre, and with free parking! There are 28 steps to the apartment which would not suit anyone infirmed!

Great property, easy to find. Location is spot on for going to the walks nearby or into the town.

Fantastic property perfect for a couple. lovely and cosy and apartment was warm. Great facilities. Great location and handy for shops etc. Only issue we encountered was front door would not lock from the inside this was rectified within 1 hour of calling Sykes from entering the property. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect location for a break in the lakes. We were able to leave our car and explore via boats and buses. On days we did use car we were always able to park in the residents car park on our return. Lots of eating places within Bowness. Would defo recommend Ta Hole int Wall for food. Bed was lovely and comfortable only problem for some reason there was no studs or buttons on the duvet cover and duvet kept sliding out. I had safety pins with me so pinned it in. We never ate main meal in apartment but there seemed to be everything there you would need and more. Electric heating worked brilliant for the couple of nights it was cold on our return. Our main gripe would be the apparent foisty smell when entering the apartment. We assume it is some issue in the bathroom. The bathroom is situated near the entrance. The bathroom was lovely and clean, no mouldy grouting or anything so can only assume there may be an issue with the extractor fan or drain traps needing cleaning. Everytime we used the bathroom for bath or shower we dried it down and opened window. In fact the windows and doors were open all the time we were there and even when we went exploring to blow the place through. It would not stop us staying there again but would hope it might get investigated when apartment is vacant

We absolutely loved our stay. Think this may be our go to for Bowness now. We originally had an airbnb booked but after that got cancelled and I found this, luck was definitely on our side. So incredibly close to everything in town and it was relatively easy to find. I have stayed in this area lot of time before so know it well but the directions given were spot on. There is a little set of stairs at the bottom of the hill which go out to the front of the Beatrix Potter caf and the bottom of town, that was very handy. The apartment itself was really a home from home, if not better. The bed was so comfy and the overhead rain shower was a delight to use. I was made up with the dishwasher and although there is no washing machine, there are laundrette's up in Windermere so not too much of a fuss. I am already looking at dates to come back here as I felt so welcomed and at home in this little apartment. Thank you so much!

It was a lovely place to stay, had everything we needed and more. It was central to nice bars and pubs which is great.

My wife and I had a great holiday. It was really good to stay somewhere so quiet and at the same time so close to everything happening around us in Bowness.

A gem of an apartment. Fully equipped and very clean. Ideally situated for all amenities, restaurants abd bars. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you Sykes Cottages.

Tastefully decorated, lots of information regarding the accommodations equipment ie cooker, dishwasher etc and local attractions. Everything you require for your stay, exceptionally well equipped with pans ,crockery, utensils and the whole was very clean, A good central location.
