A truly idyllic setting open views to south and west beautiful veranda which gets the sun all day, A very well equipped lodge and tastefully furnished and comfortable beds ,everything you need for a comfortable stay are provided especially for your dog ,Lodge is very near to reception and amenities so not much walking, a truly brilliant bus service near to main gate I never used my car as parking is difficult used bus all the time A very enjoyable weeks stay

We really enjoyed Squirrels Nook. Beautiful Lodge, fantastic location and the personal touches were very much appreciated. The rooms were big and comfy. The only slight issues for us were the cleanliness of enjoyed suite shower the rim and door very dirty and we had to clean it. The bathrooms sink was also full and would not drain. Everywhere else was spotless and the owners very thoughtful in making it homely.

Cannot fault this lodge it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was as described. Even the updates prior to arriving regards location and other details was excellent. The location of this lodge is also a plus close to amenities and in a quiet location. We will definitely be returning.

1010 lovely lodge . Weve stayed in other lodges here but this is the best Close to reception and Clubhouse but still quiet. Sunny decking area, when it came out. comfortable beds with what felt like new white bedding. Loved the little extras, doggy treats, blankets and bowls and for the humans, welcome basket with sachets of teacoffeemilk and bottle of Prosecco. Will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely lovely lodge with everything you need. We have stayed at several lodges on white cross and this has to be the nicest one. It was a real home from home and having WIFI was an extra bonus. Very comfortable seating area and beds. Will definitely be returning to squirrels nook.

A really lovely place to stay. Squirrels Nook was very comfortable, clean and had everything needed for self catering. There is a large decking area for eating outdoors. The Welcome Basket was a nice touch too. Its in a fantastic area for, walking, cycling and water sports.

Lovely cabin, which we had already booked for 2026 prior to our July 2025 visit. A real home from home. Our 15th year at WCB in a row, and now with a 2 year old the centre comes in very handy. Very responsive owners to any queries aswell. 5

We spent 4 nights at squirrels nook and had the best time. It's close to all the amenities but quiet and peaceful. It's well equipped and and very comfortable. Just a short walk to windermere lake and the views are stunning. I would highly recommend this property for a restful holiday and we will definitely be back.

Lovely lodge, 2nd year on the run and will be back next year. Also first time using spa which is near.

The lodge was clean, comfortable and in a good location within the site. Nice touch with dog bowls, treats and blankets also the Prosecco was appreciated.

A lovely place with extra touches that make it a home from home. Great spot on the site and a good base for exploring the Lakes. Can totally recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Lovely stay I booked 3 lodges all around the same price and the quality and things available while staying at this one out did the rest we were so lucky and appreciated all the little touches! We really appreciated the highchair as we traveled too far to bring our own and we had a little one and our travel cot fit perfectly at the bottom of the master bed but is snug I am so happy with our lodge and we all slept so well which never happens when we stay away!

We have been going to white cross bay holiday park for a few years now and this is by far one of the best lodges we have stayed in. Everything that we needed was available and the personal touches added, especially for my dogs was very considerate. We had an amazing break and we will definitely be returning in the future. Had a lovely weekend at Squirrels Nook. Had everything that you require and a few extras like milk, coffee and tea, not to mention a lovely bottle of prosecco. Nicely located, and even though it's close to the facilities it wasn't noisy.

Beautiful lodge tucked away. Only downside of the site heavy lorry noise from bins. Location was ideal for us. Lodge was clean and well presented. Bed linen a bit tired along with the pillows

Squirrels Nook was a fabulous lodge. Absolutely spotless, all home comforts you need and some nice extra touches for our dog. Also very well situated for Windermere and Ambleside, and a lovely setting on the lake itself. If travelling this way in future would definitely look to book again.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Squirrels Nook, our accommodation was perfect. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again, very clean inside and the bottle of Prosecco on arrival was very gratefully received ! The location was great , just a couple of minutes walk to the waters edge and conveniently situated between Ambleside and Bowness .5

This was our first time to the lakes and so pleased we chose squirrels nook, perfect location and the lodge itself is amazing, i would go as far to say the best weve ever stayed in. It is spotlessley clean and well kept and the little personal touches left by Lisa and Joel make all the difference. We had an amazing weekend and will certainly be recommending squirrels nook to our family and friends. Thanks for a great stay guys

Fab stay at squirrrls nook woodland to walk time dog easy to launch our canoe and the lodge was perfect for our needs clean as a whistle easy to find and everyone at reception very friendly. We will definitely stay again x

Squirrel Nook is a beautiful lodge,well kept,modern, very clean and comfortable. The owners are very approachable and accommodating. Some lovely little touches on arrival. Position of lodge on the park is great quite secluded. I would highly recommend staying here. Dog friendly, and even supplies blankets and bowls and treat jar.

What a lovely place, great location and helpful owners if needed. Couldn't of asked for more, clean, comfortable and great for kids plus my dog. Will definitely be looking to go back next year for a long weekend away.

Absolutely loved our holiday here, beautiful holiday home and in a great position on the site. Loved sitting outside on the decking and it was comfortable inside too. Everything you need was there and a bottle of fizz too was a nice touch. Can't wait to return.
