Everything as described and clear instructionsdirections on all the equipment & fittings. Very warm and comfortable although maybe the settee is not to my personal comfort taste but as the weather outside meant we spent more time indoors than we would have liked to the flat was an ideal place to have stayed in.

Loved our stay at the Gallery, great spacious studio apartment. Great views from our windows, very peaceful location, a short ride from windermere and Ambleside town centre. The Gallery itself was great very clean and everything in pristine condition.

Overall, the property was very clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed for the holiday with welcome starter packs of tea, coffee and biscuits. The only downside was the absence of controls for temperature control...on occasions it got too cold and I could not increase the temp. There is no contact number of a person that one may call to fix these minor issues. If I am in the area, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is the second time weve stayed at the Gallery and it was just as good as the first time. Better possibly, because were now much more familiar with the location and could plan where to walk for dinner each night. Fabulous!

We loved this place. We were a little apprehensive that it was all in one flat, but that fear was quickly dismissed when we arrived. The entrance leads to a small vestibule and then stairs to the flat. The flat is nicely laid out, roomy and includes everything you could possibly need. The large windows let in plenty of light and afford a beautiful view of the surrounding area. It is perfectly located between Ambleside and Windermere. We couldn't figure out the heating in spite of the extensive information on all the appliances that was available, but that was a minor concern. Perfect place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great property and facilities with well equipped kitchen. Very conveniently located close to useful bus routes so we didn't have to use the car all the time. Strongly recommend.

Amazing accommodation in a beautiful setting . Spacious and beautifully furnished with a compact and fully equipped kitchen with everything provided, and spotlessly clean . Our stay far exceeded expectations. The accommodation was immaculate, exceptionally wellequipped, and perfectly located just a fiveminute walk to the Merewood Country House Hotel for dinner, or a quick drive into Bowness. We couldnt have asked for more and will definitely be booking again

Ideally located with a bus stop at the end of the lane meant we could park our car and use the open top bus for trips. Accommodation is ideal for a couple and was very clean and welcoming. BathShower could be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. Wasp nest obviously under the roof which meant regular uninvited visitors but a minor problem and didnt detract from a fabulous stay. Definitely value for money.

Fabulous stay. Everything we hoped for and more. Accommodation was stunning. The position of the Gallery was such that we were able to get everywhere we wanted to get easily.

This was my 3rd time at The Gallery which suits me now I'm on my own. There were a couple of things that were disappointing though. The duvet was way too thick and no spare lighter duvet to change it so I didn't sleep very well. Also, rather than leaving tea and biscuits, I would prefer that things like kitchen roll and foil were available as a lot bulkier to bring. The cottage my late husband and I used to stay at used to provide all these things as well as a welcome bottle of wine and some milk. The Gallery is very expensive so I think they should provide a bit more.

As we had previously had an excellent stay at the Gallery in spring 2004, we were so pleased to return and find that the standard of the accommodation still remains 5star. With the benefit of glorious weather as well, we will definitely return again.

We have visited The Gallery several times now. The apartment is very comfortable and located in attractive grounds close to the main Ambleside Windermere road. We like to leave the car and use public transport where possible, so the bus stops at the end of the lane are very convenient. Lovely walks from the door make this apartment a good choice

I have wanted to visit The Gallery for some time, and it did not disappoint! The setting is great, with great public transport links nearby the car stayed put for the whole time. The apartment is quality in every aspect.

Very clean, modern, wellmaintained property. We were very comfortable during our entire stay and it all felt very luxurious. Great location too, great for both public transport and driving as it was in the middle of everything.

Only two minor comments. For us the directions were too detailed. Turn right at the bus stops would have worked. You need a doctorate to get the shower working. I think it has to do with the water heater kicking in slowly. But a lovely flat and a great stay.

The property was perfect for us, so clean and well presented, and had everything we needed. Perfect location with Brockhole Visitor Centre across the road and a bus stop at the end of the drive meant we didnt need to take the car out. Well definitely be returning and spreading the word with family and friends.

The Gallery is a wonderful romantic bolthole. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival. The open plan room is large enough to have living, kitchen, dining and bed zones without any sense of being cramped and there is plenty of storage. The kitchen is equipped with everything that most cooks would need, but the location is within easy distance by car or bus if you prefer to eat out. There is a small patio with table and chairs and use of the lovely communal gardens, thronging with wildlife. Thoughtful touches such as a rug and folding chairs if you want to go out on a picnic, plus books, games, DVDs and CDs galore on those days you might want or need to snuggle down. Just over 100m off the main Windermere to Ambleside road, there is only a faint hum from the traffic. There is a bus stop at the turn off and currently fares all over the Lake District are pegged to 2 a really cheap trip up to Keswick, for example, with no fuel or parking costs. Brockhole Visitor Centre is only a 5 minute walk away. Three things prevented it being perfect 1. The listing photos imply there is a view of the lake, which is not so and I was extremely disappointed about this. 2. The hot tap for the bath and shower is rather temperamental. 3. I note from another post that one of the window's double glazing had blown and this has not yet been fixed. Despite these niggles, I would recommend The Gallery as a lovely place to stay.

Absolutely great accommodation. However your advert did not emphasise the room was on the first floor. Chris gets about in a wheelchair so it added a difficult task to get to the room. Would recommend to others.

The Gallery was a lovely little Christmas Hideaway. Very comfortable and conveniently situated for exploring The Lakes.

Best holiday property we've stayed in, will definitely remember it for any future trips to the Lakes. Well laid out & spacious for 2 people and kitchen, bathroom etc all well equipped even down to little things like having generous amounts of hand wash etc.

We have stayed at the Gallery five times now and the standard remains if not higher than ever. Congratulations.
