Our fourth time on this site but different accommodations. We have 2 dogs and one is very nervous. On entering the property the dogs welfare and also any hope of a restful holiday for us humans is on our minds and we all agreed Oh wow, floor to ceiling blinds! based on a quieter part of the park. As well as all the expected things like clean, comfortable, dog friendly as in easy to keep clean with a decent vac. We loved our time at snuggledown and have already booked for next year. A couple of things not quite right the freezer had drawers that had frozen closed, but still had some I could use and the bed mattress is getting to the end of its time but still comfortable enough. Any reactive dog owners will understand that if it's perfect for the dogs it's perfect for us. See you next year.

Everything you need in lodge really well stocked with all cutlery cleaning products really good location of the lodge but what was a big let down was the cleanliness of the lodge . Put clothes in draws and cupboards when getting then out there was dust and bits all over clean clothes. Hairs all over the furniture found other guest left belongings in various places throughout the lodge. Carpets were filthy had to clean them ourselves which isn't good. If lodge had been clean it would have been perfect . Very happy with everything else but so unhappy about the cleanliness which has put us off about returning

Just had a weeks stay, the lodge was very clean, comfortable and cozy, with 3 adults and a dog there was plenty of room. 5 minute walk to the lake, great location to get around the Lake District.

We had a great time. The property had everything you could want. The beds were comfortable and it was a bonus having 2 bathrooms. We just loved the setting, lots of wildlife and just a 5 minute walk to the lake. It was a great base to get to other places. Property was beautiful and was amazing to find things like washing up liquid, tea towels etc already provided. Little touches like this really make the difference. The downside was I dont feel like it had been sufficiently cleaned prior to arrival. There was lots of dog hairs on the furniture and on the floor in the living area.

Bought this break as a present for my parents in their 7080s. They absolutely loved it. It was perfect & they can't wait to go back. The setting was beautiful & accommodation spot on. Not a thing to criticise. Even the weather played ball!!

The lodge was clean tidy and in a great location

Me and my partner and 2 dogs stayed here for the weekend, our 2 friends came to visit, this lodge is exactly like the photos, so homely had everything you could need, very spacious, the only downfall I had was that the mattresss werent comfortable, and I noticed that there was a lot of flies appearing in the main bathroom, however they are my only issues, would definitely recommend and rebook!

Wasnt happy that I had to clear the decking of the lodge from dog mess on arrival , sent pictures and reported this and was told basically it wasn't sykes fault so basically tough. My concern is if this is expected what else is being overlooked regarding cleanliness. Rest of holiday was really enjoyable

We really enjoyed our stay at snuggledown, wonderful lodge in a peaceful location within the park, and just a short walk to the edge of lake Windermere! We came up from the midlands to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with our two dogs, and would definitely recommend to anyone considering visiting the lakes.

Real issues with cleanliness in the lodge. Really disappointing to see a similar review in the last month that mirrors our experience. We moved the small sofa so not to get a bad neck due to the height of the TV. All sorts of rubbish and dog hair under there, same behind the large sofa had to use the hoover ourselves to clean up. The windows in the living room are covered in cobwebs on the inside. The oven wasn't clean, very obvious to see how dirty the glass was when the light came on. The blinds in the main bedroom do not work, so are permanently down. The bathroom with the bath in, regularly smells of drains, particularly when it rains. We did experience the 'fridge rattle' looks like lots of previous occupants have tried to fix the issue with kitchen roll stuffed in the frame, we've added our contribution. A real shame other people have commented on these issues but it would appear no action has been taken to fix the issues. Could be a nice lodge if these issues are resolved, but currently many nicer options on this site we've tried many over the last 10 years

Very comfortable only one problem the television high on the wall coursed us to have problems with our neck watching it, although there was a problem with the blind in the main bedroom contacting Sykes was a problem, we did try telephone ,email, and text to no avail, the staff from Parkdene were very helpful and managed to get contact after a long time, with Sykes, and the same day a man arrived and tried to repair it this had been broken on our arrival.

The cabin was very nice indeed. Clean and modern. Contained all kitchen and bedroom facilities required

Property was beautifully furnishedpresented and location was great for families. Sadly the kitchen is a little lacking of basic items for example there was no potato peeler, and only 3 drinking glasses. All items in kitchen were dirty with dried on food and stains when we arrived, so had to put through several dishwasher loads to clean them. The en suite had a very strong smell of urine. Other than these items that can be easily remedied with better cleaning, the lodge itself was lovely and we would recommend.

We had a lovey stay at Snuggledown We thought the pictures on the advert looked great but when we arrived it look so comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. We know the area quite well But managed to find new places. One slight problem with a blind on the floor when we arrived. I called the maintenance number and they were there within the hour and it was promptly fixed. We would love to stay again.

Fantastic property faultless, very clean and comfortable, very well equipped with every utensil needed for your stay. This is also in a fantastic location and on a lovely site. 100 recommended this cabin for a peaceful and relaxing break, if returning to the Lake District I would book this cabin again.

Snuggle down is a beautiful lodge,very clean in a lovely setting not only did our 10 year old daughter enjoy her stay but so did our puppy Tilly. Everybody who meet were so welcoming & we would definitely go again.

We absolutely loved our time at Snuggledown. The property had a luxury feel to it and there was everything you needed inside, particularly in terms of kitchen equipment. We loved the electric fire and it really quickly warmed up the living room in the mornings after just a few minutes. The location was perfect, just 3 miles to Ambleside, and again to Bowness in the opposite direction. Booths supermarket is just around the corner by car too. We will definitely be back!

Thank you. We have had an amazing time and a lovely first family Christmas away from home. Snuggledown is just lovely. Very cosy, warm, modern and beautifully decorated with everything you could ever need. The kitchen was perfect, fully equipped with everything you could need and the dishwasher, a lovely addition. The cabin is very warm and toasty. Brought loads of jumpers expecting it to be cold but it was quite the opposite even with poor weather. This has been our first Christmas away and definitely wont be our last. Thank you and Kimmi says thank you for the doggy biscuits

What a lovely homely lodge. There was everything you would need and more. Very clean and modern. The only positive criticism I have and its only a personal one is maybe a little Christmas tree for this time of year for children staying. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice warm property. Everything we needed .Problem with netflix on first day,I walked over to reception and before I got back maintenance had been and got it sorted. We will certainly be back again.Our dog George enjoyed it also.
