A beautiful home with a fabulous large & grand but also comfortable lounge with room for us all. The master bedroom is palatial with wonderful views over the gardens and within sight of the lake. Some of the other rooms are much smallerless grand so its important with a group of adults to understand the inequalities! The downstairs was warm & cosy but we did have problems to get heat into the bedrooms and bathrooms. All in all we had a lovely stay in this beautiful house in a great location.

We have just enjoyed a lovely week celebrating my husbands birthday in Domvs. We are a group of 12 family members age range 1070 years and the house suited our needs perfectly. Great that every bedroom has its own ensuite facilities. The house was clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen which made it easy to cater for such a large group. The open fire in the lounge created a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. The large square table in the dining room was perfect for family meals and playing games. The views from the house are superb and location fabulous, with just a short walk into Windermere town centre. The railway station is very close by and bus stop just a few yards from the house. We only realised the day before we left that the house has different thermostats for upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs was lovely and warm throughout our stay but upstairs a bit chilly especially the tower room as we didnt realise the thermostat for upstairs was situated on the first floor. This wasnt a major problem though as we spent most of our time downstairs. A good time was had by all!

This is our third stay at Domvs, our family love staying here, the living area is a good communal place to sit and the dining room has space for us all. It would be great to see some improvements made such as more sockets and better WiFi in the tower suite. A fresh lick of paint throughout. This said we do hope to stay again, adding a hot tub would be amazing next to the summer house, this said we did notice the outside plugs not in use. Thanks for another great stay.

Some of our party found it a challenge climbing so many stairs to get to their bedroooms. In the middle of winter we arrived to find the house freezing cold. I would have been so easy for someone connected with the house to switch the heating on an hour before we arrived. There were only two small logs in the basket and we had to go out in search of a shop to buy a supply of logs. We were looking forward to using the DVD player but found the cable plug at the back of the unity held together with sticky tape which meant the picture and sound quality was poor and distracting.

Utterly stunning property with beautiful views, great location and plenty to do and see! Our only negatives were the amount of mould around the house. It also got extremely cold given the time of year, many of the windows and doors had gaps, need replacing. Apologies, but we had to crank the heating up alot and did appreciate the little heaters dotted around. We had a great time though and loved the house!

Fabulous property. Enough space for ten often stroppy people to have a super time. The seven toilets were greatly appreciated by the over seventies who seem to need such facilities often! Easy walking distance to village and the bus service was an added bonus cars were never used. Garden and seating areas stunning. Just wonderful!

Perfect holiday . Property was just what we wanted as an extended family ranging in age from 2686 . Everything we needed was there , we were lucky enough to have good weather so were able to use the garden . As my sister said , it wasnt perfect but it was perfect for us . 3 very large sofas to stretch out on , bedrooms , although very different in sizes suited us , kitchen was well equip and had all the kitchen utensils to make large meals . Lots of games , books and local information also available . Would definitely recommend for large extended family . Thanks for some great memories .

I have holidayed many times over the years in Holiday cottages and this property did not disappoint. Very large and comfortable superb gardens and views, weather could have been warmer to enjoy the gardens but you cannot control the weather. Very well equipped had everything we needed and more. The whole family loved it and said it was the best one I have booked. When I return to the lakes I will definetly book this again.

We had a wonderful week! The property has the air of a muchloved family home. Probably the best equipped kitchen we have ever used, including an air fryer & milk frother! Other thoughtful touches included hand wash at every sink all 8 of them..! and a generous supply of things such as toilet roll & dishwasher tablets. Beds were very comfortable and the hot water was plentiful. The garden and the view are absolutely stunning. As other reviews have mentioned, most of the bedrooms back onto the main road but it's quiet at night and doesn't get busy until well after 700. Goodness knows how the cleaning team do the turnaround, so a few missed cobwebs on the high ceilings were not an issue at all. Sadly it's already booked next year for our usual week, but we hope to return another time.

What can I say, this was our second visit to Domvs and it didn't disappoint! There were a few extras, like the air fryer, which we put to good use. The lounge area is great for family and friends get togethers. Domvs is in a great location for exploring the lakes, with an excellent bus service close by. Once again a fabulous stay for all the family, we hope to be booking again for next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Domvs. The accommodation was perfect for our family group aged between 170 years. The 4 main bedrooms were spacious and the 2 twins rooms good for the grandchildren. The grandchildren enjoyed the garden and the Upstairs Downstairs style passageways. The living room and dining room provided great space room for everyone. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend.

We all had a lovely holiday at Domvs. The house was comfortable and very well equipped. It is a lovely old house with a beautiful garden.Obviously due to its age and size there are many stairs but that didn't detract from our pleasure as the views from the upper rooms are fantastic. We have already booked the property for our family holiday next year.

DOMVS was everything we had hoped for. Superb accommodation very large and excellent for the 11 of us who stayed there. 6 adults and 5 children. The children loved the garden l, it made for a superb cricket pitch. A couple of things for the owner.not complaints We tried to keep the covers over the garden furniture but one kept blowing off. The front door catches on the threshold. The toilet in the 2nd floor twin bedroom didn't flush very well. Hot water supply to main bedroom handbasin on 1st floor intermittent. Shower was fine. I did report to your office stain on same bedroom sofa, light on in garage.

House chosen for number of bedrooms and bathrooms for family holiday with ages ranging from 70 to 7 months. Everything we needed for baby was supplied high chair and travel cot and kitchen was very well equipped with for cooking for 10 people every night. Perfect garden views of distant lake side and sunset. Splendid time was had by all.

I booked for my 70th Bithday celebration with my family, although we have all had a wonderful time we found the stairs and different levels a bit of a challenge. Also this wonderful house needs a bit of tlc, the dining chairs do need attention. It was a wonderful stay and the view is superb. Just a little attention would make a world of difference.

We had a lovely holiday. The house is well placed to walk into the town and a short drive from a lot of the main attractions.

WOW comes to mind when I think if this property! I had booked it to start the celebrations for my 70th birthday, with my family. It was everything we needed and more. Everything had been thought of , fully equipped with many extras. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained.
