A lovely week in a beautiful house. Very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Very comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms. We would happily stay here again.

Great house, you dont really see the neighbours next door, pity they do not allow you to view their pond and garden area which is to the left of the large garden. First class service from Sykeslakelovers after we locked ourselves out in terrible weather, we were drenched and thinking we may have to sleep in the conservatory for the night, they sorted it within the hour, bringing a spare set of keys. It is a pity we were thinking of booking the same week next June, cannot really understand how the rental price can shoot up by around 3540! No value in the increase,it is a shame that many properties since the pandemic have chosen to price many folk out of certain rentals. Having whinged about that, we loved it there, as a previous guest wrote in reviews, it was not perfect, but perfect for us.

We booked Domvs to celebrate my 70th birthday with friends and family. we were looking forward to luxury abd comfort. It did not disappoint. The bedrooms are beautifully presented as are all the ensuite bathrooms. the bed linen and towels were high end luxury and the kitchen well equipped with pans and crockery. Both the dining and sitting rooms were lovely. There were some issues no towels were left in the fourposter bay window room. i couldn't get through on the contact number so we made do by sharing other towels around. I had to clean the shower mat in that same room which was covered in black mould I have a photograph. The lower basket in the dishwasher has no runners, not all the burners on the stove worked and the seal on one of the ovens was broken. We managed with those issues and they couldn't detract from the pleasure we derived just from staying there. If the owners can rectify the issues which re very minor in the scheme of things I'm sure future guests will find if perfect.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Domvs. The house is beautiful both inside and out, with lots of character! All 3 families commented on how clean the house was and the comfort of the beds as well as how spacious the house was. The only issue we faced, which wasn't a huge thing for us was the appliances. All appliances were clean and useable however we think the oven and air fryer may need upgrading as it seemed to take a long time to cook things using them. We will definitely be booking again, we had a fantastic time!

The house is absolutely beautiful and more than spacious enough for our party of 11. There wasnt anything missing from kitchen equipment and the house was well maintained. The gorgeous lounge or the Grande Salon as we referred to it with its fabulous views would not be out of place in a French Chateau. The location is excellent and the fact it was close enough to walk into Windermere was a real bonus. We will certainly be returning.

7 ladies arrived at what can only be described as a delightful place to spend our week away. Plenty of space, we'll equipped, we would recommend to anyone wanting to spend time together. Thankyou for letting us stay.

This house was even better than the pictures make out! 3 families had plenty of space to live together with ease! We had an excellent holiday. Theres every utensil, and facility you could ever need!! The beds were extremely comfortable. We were lovely and warm. Of an evening we would sit around the coffee table with a wine or two and the open fire and Boardgames from the cupboard. We took plenty of outdoor games for the kids when the weather was good. We took it in turns to cook each night and we were shocked at the amount of pots, pans, crocks, utensils and even a draw for kids plasticware and cutlery! We would love to return!! So many amazing days out on your door step. We 100 recommend. Also! I read the guest books and everyone has been multiple times! Often 3rd visit 4th visit and one family has hit 10 visits!! That says it all! X

Overall, a fantastic house for large groups. Plenty of space, great kitchen with all you need, lovely bedrooms with en suite in most. It is looking tired with some decor in bedrooms and windows, however, it's really functional and we all had great sleep so cannot fault that. We did an issue with hot water on 3rd day which we reported, but when we returned late that evening we did have hot water and could shower. The next morning, no hot water but was our leaving day so no major effect as we only live 90 mins away. Great property though where we held lovely family meals and great socialising space and very relaxing. I would recommend, but I do suggest the boilers may need upgrading.

A beautiful home with a fabulous large & grand but also comfortable lounge with room for us all. The master bedroom is palatial with wonderful views over the gardens and within sight of the lake. Some of the other rooms are much smallerless grand so its important with a group of adults to understand the inequalities! The downstairs was warm & cosy but we did have problems to get heat into the bedrooms and bathrooms. All in all we had a lovely stay in this beautiful house in a great location.
