The cottage was clean and comfortable the grass at the front was cut after we arrived but was very overgrown when we first got there. The yard at the back needs maintaining too. Great location and had a lovely stay with our dog.

Lovely stay. Great base to explore the Lake District. Nice walk to the pub and shops and lake. Really great to have the parking outside. The bedrooms were fantastic and comfy beds. We all slept well. The garden at the front we didn't use, as we were out so much. The small outside space at the back is rough. Needs tidying, but didn't effect our stay. There was no washing machine. Obviously if its not listed, I didn't see that there wasn't one. So that was a small issue not being able to wash our clothes halfway through the stay. Overall a great stay but would not choose to stay again based on the few issues.

Our second stay at Craig Cottage. Great location being a short walk down to the lake or up to Windermere town centre. We parked the car up and then walked or took public transport for the rest of our stay. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Yes, there are signs of wear and tear but if you look at the calendar it is pretty much booked out all year round. We will definitely book again. Thanks for sharing your lovely cottage with us

Great cottage in a very central location which is walking distance to Bowness, the lake and Windermere. It has the huge benefit of having a designated car parking place meaning you can park up and walk to places from the cottage. Very clean and well equipped with super comfortable beds, lovely kitchen and bathroom. The outside needs a little attention & maintenence, grass cutting in the garden and broken guttering causing issues in the rain but the inside is really lovely and very comfortable.

Nice spacious property in a great location. Attention to some minor points would make it perfect, some interior paintwork needs touching up, front door lock is frustrating, some rugs look a bit tired, no bulbs in some of the lamps. Hob on cooker works but is very slow to heat up. A general tidy up outside would be good too.

We had a great 2 night stay and would definitely come back. The house had amazing facilities and was cosy. Heating did turn on throughout the night and we all woke up hot. Bathroom very modern and kitchen appliances were all easy to use.

We have had several holidays at Craig Cottage. It is really lovely accommodation and the location is excellent. Cleanliness is of a very high standard, the bedding is pristine and towels are luxurious. The cottage is well placed for shops, restaurants, bus stops and it's a short walk to Lake Windermere. The provision of a welcome pack and bottle of prosecco is very thoughtful. We will be back again soon.

Really enjoyed our stay at Craig Cottage, very clean, spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room and well decorated. Great to have a parking space, so close to all amenities and be able to walk to the lake. Prosecco was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. The cottage and facilities were lovely, and it is in a great central location for going out and about in Bowness. However, for a longer stay the parking would have been an issue for me. When we arrived on Friday night, the allocated parking space was already full. Luckily someone came back to their car, so we were able to ask them to move, but it meant we didnt want to move our car again. For a weekend this was fine, but it would not be suitable for a longer stay.

We had a wonderful stay, the log fire is such a lovely feature. Being so close to all the amenities was perfect, the garden was fully enclosed for our dog which gave us peace of mind. The cottage was very clean & well presented. A couple of things I think that would improve the cottage, not negatives. 1. The steps into the garden are steep & would benefit to having some lights near them, very dangerous otherwise. 2. We have been to many self catering properties & always have the bare essentials milk, coffee, tea, just for anyone thats arriving, please take salt, pepper, essentials etc. The prosecco was a lovely added touch, we would highly recommend this cottage & we would stay here again. We have stayed at the cottage several times before and feel the location is ideal for all the facilities in Bowness. The cottage is clean tidy and has all the equipment you needed, its nicely decorated and cosy.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is in a great central location, making it easy to get around and explore. It really felt like a home from home comfortable, clean, and welcoming. As a family of four, we found it wellsuited to our needs, though having a washing machine would have made things even more convenient. Overall, a lovely place to stay and wed happily return.

Stayed here for a week, such a wonderful and confortable stay. House location is great for a wonder down to the lakeshops but also for driving to neighbouring townslakes. The house was very well equipped even with cutleryplates for children and a bath mat the little things that made all the difference! The beds were very comfy our boy loved the bunk beds and the shower is worth a mention, it was lovely! To have the parking space was wonderful, yes the steps are steep but manageable plants may just need cutting back a bit more regularly as you fight through them on the steps Would definitely book again.

Lovely, attractively decorated cottage in a very good location within walking distance of Lake Windermere, easy to walk to high street too and situated on a quiet, no through road. Garden was secure for our dog and there were all the amenities which you would need. The only thing missing is the first nights basket of logs so if you want to use the log burner have to go looking to buy some.

The location was perfect for both Bowness and Windermere, great to have a parking space, house was nicely renovated and had everything you should need. Beds very comfy and a lovely power shower, perfect for after a busy day out. We really enjoyed the house and would definitely recommend.

The location of this property is absolutely perfect. Its dedicated parking space is nice to have. Nice late afternoon sun in the garden. Clean sheets and comfy beds. The cleanliness was soso upon arrival, e.g. crumbs and dirtiness in the sofaseats. The propriety would benefit from an outside paintjob, as it is pretty much crumbling away now. But overall we 100 enjoyed and loved our stay. Would also recommend LakeLovers very clear service and instructions.

We had a lovely week at Craig Cottage, the cottage had everything you could need and is in a perfect location,the only downside were the steps at the front which were dangerously slippy when frosty .

Cottage was lovely and well equipped, my only gripe was the WiFi ,there was a plaque on the mantel saying you were automatically connected to WiFi, this wasn't the true, I got a notification saying I had gone over my limit so waiting on my bill. Apart from that I would definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage, great location and off street parking a huge bonus so close to Bowness. Couple of things which would have improved our stay would have been some wood kindling being left. It was a shame the cottage didnt have any Christmas decs up being the Christmas period.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The cottage is excellent, finished to a high standard and in a great, central location in Bowness. The owners left us a lovely Christmas card and hamper with a bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely touch as we were celebrating Christmas up there. The paintwork throughout could do with a bit of a touch up and it would have been nice to have had logs available for the burner on our first day as this was one of the things that drew us to the cottage. Apart from that though everything was just great thank you In terms of Sykes.. good service throughout. The only drawback being the 4pm check in and 10am check out times. As we were spending Christmas up there and away from home, we had a lot to take with us and to unpackpack. Maybe 3pm and 11am would be better.

We enjoyed another great holiday at Craig Cottage, so much so we have booked again for next year. The bathroom area was gleaming, bedding pristine, standard of cleanliness excellent, provision of hand soaps, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, scrubber and bin bags was so thoughtful. Bottle of prosecco left in fridge was a lovely touch. It is an excellent cottage in a great location.

Probably one of the best cottages weve stayed in. Was very homely, cosy and big. The only thing I would say are the stairs to the front are quite steep, we mainly used the back entrance. But overall, I really cant fault it. Would 100 return.

We loved our stay at Craig Cottage great location, easy access to town, the cottage is clean and cosy. The only negative is there is a faint smell of dog in the lounge, the carpet and upholstery could probably do with shampooing to try and get rid of the smell otherwise we had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to book again!

Excellent holiday and the cottage was perfect for us. A short walk to the main street. Private parking for one car with on street parking for another. We had no problems during our week getting parked and we were out with the car exploring most days. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Would recommend this place for a break in the Lakes.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Everything you need there. We only used the front double bedroom and the bed was super comfortable. Plenty of storage also. Bottle of Prosecco and the cleaning pack very much appreciated. Plug in torchlights are good once you know how to work them. Only negative the sofa could do with replacing.and a few chips and scrapes on the wallswood work could do with touching up. We would stay here again. .

The property was lovely such a great location, there was just a few things that we felt inconvenienced us slightly. There was no shower mat there was only half a loo roll upon arrival so we had to go out super early to the shop to get them. I think there should be a couple of staples in the cottage like cooking oil and sugar we know to bring our own tea and coffee. I think the arrival time of 4pm is quite late and the check out at 10am is quite early. Everything else was great.
