Exceptionally,clean and comfortable accommodation with the added bonus of a lovely location and beautiful views

Just came back from a fantastic 4 night stay at the Birthwaite lodge on Limefitt Park. Lodge was lovely, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect with beautiful views overlooking the hills and was lucky enough to stay while the weather was fantastic. Experienced the solar eclipse while we were there and watched the meteor shower and loads of shooting stars in the night sky. Overall was the loveliest staycation weve had and will definitely return

Braithwaite Lodge is in a beautiful setting tucked away in a valley near to Windermere. There were lots of things to do near by. The lodge was a perfect base for exploring. The accommodation was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a week away. Thank you for a great stay!

This is our second visit to birthwaite lodge and it was as lovely as ever, perfect pitch on the site very relaxed and peaceful. The lodge itself is spacious, clean and has lovely comfortable beds and nice hot showers after long days walking! There is two great pubs within walking distance which we spent our evenings at with our two dogs in front of the fire The Queens head for drinks and the Mortal Man for the pie! There is lots of games and DVDs for the evenings in if needed. Will absolutely be back again!

Shower in ensuite was blocked and not draining so we had to buy drain unblocked which resolved issue quickly but surely that should be checked by cleaning staff. Apart from that issue lodge was great.

Enjoy our stay site lovely but would like to suggest perhaps tea coffee and sugar provided for on arrival. I used to manage apartments in Spain and these things were top of our list makes a great difference We would definitely stay again thank you

Lovely lodge everything you could need. Not bothered about lack of WiFi , it's nice to get away from it and enjoy the peace and quiet! No hesitation to book again in the future

3rd time we have stayed at Limefitt and 2nd in Birthwaite lodge, we have already booked again for next year in same lodge which shows how great the holiday park and lodge are. Lodge is perfect for us, 2 adults, 1 child and a dog. It has amazing views from the decking, spotless inside, there was new table and lights from last year which shows owner cares about keeping it up to date, We cant wait to go back.

We have stayed in this lodge several times. It is always lovely and comfortable and very clean.It is in a great spot on the park and we would not hesitate to return again

We had a lovely time. Plenty of space and very pet friendly. The lodge is self was spotless and has everything you need. Loved the dog field especially as it rained the whole weekend so we didnt have to go far to let the dogs have a good run. Beautiful location we would definitely come back.

We had a lovely welcome to the lodge on what was a cold evening. The lodge was lovely and warm on arrival.It was immaculately clean and we were very pleased with it.Its perfect for dogswith an enclosed veranda and a dog walking field close by. Limefitt is a great place to holiday.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Birthwaite Lodge. It was a real home from home and very well equipt. It was a great base to explore the lakes. We had some lovely weather and enjoyed a BBQ a couple of evenings, although we brought our own BBQ and noticed there wasn't a slab there for a disposable one. We were unfortunate enough to experience some wet weather during our stay and did find the gutter outside of our bedroom very rattly which did wake us, however it didn't spoil our holiday. We would definately return to Birthwaite Lodge in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay for our family holiday

The property is immaculately clean and tidy. Constructive criticism only, generic constant references to a dishwasher when there isnt one should be removed, little stickers with instructions everywhere particularly referencing the pandemic which is no more should be removed and a personalised info sheet on the property added to a folder or stuck on the door but would be nicer in a folder or laminate on the table. TV I appreciate the property is in the middle of nowhere but its 2023 you can get booster boxes for broadband to allow visitors access to TV on demand at least, the property is fairly isolated and the weather isnt a certain so it would be much better to be able to access channels at your leisure and not a costly addition. Leave a welcome pack of some kind and people will use it, kitchen foil this could then be used to protect oven trays, kitchen roll, better rubbish bags , all are necessary but when only staying three nights you dont want to bring a heap of stuff with you and would help the owner keep it clean as people would use it.

Our original lodge was cancelled due to the decking being unsafe I got a full refund and was able to rebook on the same site. The Birthwaite Lodge was beautiful, spacious, very clean and the facilities were brilliant! A real home from home experience! Thank you so much! Will definitely be visiting again!

Booked for three nights for myself, partner and two dogs. Firstly, very grateful and thankful dogs are allowed to stay in such a lovely lodgethey were so excited!! The lodge is much more than a home away from home. Its somewhere you can properly relax, forget about the normal routine of life and generally just enjoy the lodge and its wonderful surroundings. Mattresses super comfy, kitchen well equipped, lounge area lovely and wonderful electric fire which we did use once or twice for a few minutes. Honestly we just loved everything about this lodge. Location in the park was great and very private no other visitors walking past. Dogs absolutely loved going to the dog field which we seemed to time very well as they were the only dogs there and then going for a cool off in the river! We would highly recommend this lodge. I miss it already! Thank you so Much.

This is the second time we have stayed at this lodge, we enjoyed it so much the first time that we returned the following year, it was great to see some furniture had been updated and the sun loungers are brilliant.

Beautiful lodge situated in a great plot at an even better park. Ideally located for accessing the surrounding lakes this has been Ideal for our first kayaking holiday. Lodge itself is very comfortable and the outdoor area in particular is wonderfully relaxing with it's view's and bird chorus'

We had a wonderful Christmas break in this cosy, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean lodge. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lake District. We hope to return again one day.

Over all extremely clean, just the main bathroom floor hair on the floor and towel rail were a little dirty. The location,lodge and park, overall was excellent. The lodge was two bedroom with one ensuite and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay with our dog. The lodge was spotless and spacious with superb views of the surrounding countryside and had a large decking area with table and chairs. The site is located only a few minutes from Windermere and is very dog friendly, there is a doggy field for them to run around which was good and the on site pub served good food and drink for us and also welcomed dogs. The small shop has a limited selection of goods but has the necessities. What did you enjoy most about your stay? A wonderful location close to all the best the lakes have to offer. The lodge itself was stunning a real home from home with absolutely amazing views and the park was spotless with great amenities. 10 out of 10 all round. What did you enjoy most about your stay?
