Stayed here multiple times. Very practical accommodation with 2 parking spaces a real benefit in this area. There are lovely views of the Lake from the sitting room and kitchen on the top floor. Beware that there are 2 sets of steep stairs to the top floor but there is self contained accommodation on the ground floor for anyone who can't do stairs. Comfortable, warm and well equipped. The standard of cleaning on arrival was excellent. We had a small maintenance problem and the process of reporting could be improved. There is no direct option for such a problem. The 'chat' didn't work at all and even stated that I was not the name on the booking which of course I was! Such admin needs real improvement.
Fabulous house, well equipped and clean. The views were great. Our family enjoyed our stay. The location is close to centre and quiet.

Property in a great location with lots of amenities on the doorstep and good parking.
We were returning guests so knew what to expect but I still think this is a perfect place to stay for a Lakes break. Beautiful living area at the top of the house with stunning views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding hills from both front and back. Three good sized double bedrooms with an additional kitchen on the ground floor. Car parking for 2 cars. Situated in Bowness but set back just enough to offer easy access to the delights of the town inc. shops, pubs and eateries and the lake but the solitude of this idyllic area when you shut the door. Great walks from the doorstep and easy access to the rest of the Lake District by car or bus. A truly wonderful place to stay.
Great location with parking for 2 cars. The ground floor bedroom has a musty smell and radiators need bleeding as they only heat up half way Water pressure not good and shower totally lost water on a couple of occasions . First floor bathroom shower looks old and in need of a refurb. Generally the property appears clean but look more closely under chairs and along skirting boards etc, the property could do with a deep clean. Kitchen is well equipped but does lack cupboard and drawer space. Freezer is located on ground floor which is 2 flights of stairs and ideally should be located in kitchen on the first floor. It is a self catering property after all. the beds are relatively comfortable but the bed on the bed on the ground floor has a huge dip in it.
Just a little inconvenient having to go to the ground floor to the freezer especially if you have mobility problems.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. The bottom bedroom is more of a selfcontained apartment with its own kitchen washing machine cooker fridge, 2 chairs in the bedroom with a TV. So if you have elderly people in your party or anyone that has difficulty climbing stairs, this would be ideal for them. But the main living room, our family room with the kitchen and the rest of the amenities is on the top floor. So you do have to be able to walk 2 flights of stairs to get to this. Which gives you a lovely view over the lake and the surrounding area the location of this property, it's brilliant. You're literally a 5 minute walk, and you're in the town of Bo'ness on windermere my family, we all slept very well in their very comfortable beds we were there for nights
This accommodation is in a very central location. It is clean, the sofas and beds are comfortable and the kitchens have everything you could possibly need. The outside space and parking were a bonus and the lovely views were better than expected. Our only gripe, which is minor, would be to have a shower fitted over the bath downstairs. There is currently a hand held spray. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to return.
We have had a lovely time at The Heights, excellent location, the property was in good condition and it was great that the kitchen contained things like condiments, foil, cling film, washing up products, tea towels etc. The view is stunning and when the weather is kind, the little balcony and garden outside space is great. Our only negatives would be that the downstairs bedroom didn't feel as comfortable as the upstairs ones, possibly because it wasn't carpeted so didn't feel as welcoming, maybe carpet or a large rug in the room would make it feel less bare? A few times the shower fluctuated between hot and cold quite dramatically. The sofas and chair in the living area weren't very comfortable at all. But this didn't detract from us enjoying our stay, thank you.

We were returning guests and absolutely love this place. Perfect location for eating, drinking and shopping in Bowness itself but ideal for driving to the other places this beautiful county offers. The Heights has three good sized double bedrooms, all of which have been refurbished in the last year or so, and a top floor living area with views front and back an artist would pay for. Really comfortable and well equipped with tvs in each of the bedrooms and a smart tv in the living room. Space for two cars to park and two kitchen areas located on ground and top floors. Cant fault the place and just an ideal location for a very relaxing week in the Lakes.
A wonderful property in a super location for our short autumn break.
Had an enjoyable week staying at The Heights. This holiday home is very modern and nicely decorated throughout as well as clean and tidy, with everything that you could possibly need for a selfcatering stay. The ground floor is almost self contained, with a doubling up of both a kitchen and bathroom. The rear garden has a table and chairs and is quiet considering the proximity of the centre of Bowness. This house is situated on a hill although there is a cut giving access to the Bowness main road and given that the house has three levels people with mobility problems maybe have issues with this let. The car parking space immediately in front of the house can accommodate two small family cars satisfactorily. The only gripe with the property was a very slow draining sink in the mid level shower room probably easy to rectify. I would recommend this house as a holiday location within the lively centre of Bowness and would certainly consider staying here again.
Very comfortable, clean and well located property as far as pubs, restaurants and nearby lake are concerned. Excellent bus links to nearby Ambleside and Grasmere. Just wish the weather had been kinder to us!! Would definitely recommend this property.
Loved the property. There are a lot of stairs so people will have to take that in consideration. Would recommend The Heights & would like to definitely book it again . A home from home . Clean & everything you needed was there .
A spacious and well equipped property that was perfect for our 5 days near the Lake. We ended up being only 3 but accommodation would be great for three couples or a larger family. Its on a hill so the short walks to the town or lake would still be a challenge if you were not relatively fit and able. Easy to start and finish occupancy via the security box which held the keys. Very practical place to stay. Wonderful to have parking outside the door. Very convenient for shops and restaurants and there are some outstanding restaurants very close by. Convenient for buses and boats . Lovely vies from the sitting room with the advantage of a balcony as well as a garden? Unfortunately it wasnt warm enough to sit out. Very comfortable and warm property which is very nicely furnished. I would warn that those with mobility issues might find the 2 flights of stairs to the upper sitting room, a challenge but of course there is a bed sitting room on the ground floor with a bathroom and kitchen. There are lots of good walks from Bowness which are not too high but which still afford great views. The higher fells are not too distant for the more intrepid. We greatly enjoyed our 2nd visit to the Heights and would certainly stay again.
We absolutely love this place which is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and located right in the heart of Bowness within a quiet hideaway but with easy access by foot to a selection of shops, pubs and eateries. Accommodation is over three floors with what is effectively a self contained flat at ground level offering a large bedsitting area with adjoining bathroom and kitchen. Two large double bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and an open plan living area and kitchen on the top floor. Easily accommodated us with my wife and I using the ground floor and our son and his family the middle then coming together upstairs to eat and relax. Beautiful views to the front and rear of the property and a perfect base for getting out and exploring this striking area of natural beauty. It's also a great place to come back to after taking on the Cumbrian hills in our walking shoes, warm and cozy with plenty of chill space and a well equipped kitchen or two to replenish the body in readiness to do it all again tomorrow.
Our family had a lovely Christmas break, just wish the weather had been better. Nice having two kitchens to cook the Christmas lunch. Great location in Bowness. If you want the best drink and atmosphere we recommend The Crafty Baa in Windermere. This is our 5th time at The Heights and we will be back.

We love this place and have stayed on a number of previous occasions. Ideally located in the centre of Bowness. 3 good sized double bedrooms, the ground floor bedroom has had new flooring and decoration and is akin to a bedsit with its own kitchen and bathroom. Parking for two cars. Good sized living room on top floor with spectacular views from front and back, even washing the dishes is a joy with those mesmerising views. Very well equipped and warm. Quiet and serene despite proximity to the town. Absolutely loved it.
