A really lovely place to stay. Squirrels Nook was very comfortable, clean and had everything needed for self catering. There is a large decking area for eating outdoors. The Welcome Basket was a nice touch too. Its in a fantastic area for, walking, cycling and water sports.

We spent 4 nights at squirrels nook and had the best time. It's close to all the amenities but quiet and peaceful. It's well equipped and and very comfortable. Just a short walk to windermere lake and the views are stunning. I would highly recommend this property for a restful holiday and we will definitely be back.

Lovely stay I booked 3 lodges all around the same price and the quality and things available while staying at this one out did the rest we were so lucky and appreciated all the little touches! We really appreciated the highchair as we traveled too far to bring our own and we had a little one and our travel cot fit perfectly at the bottom of the master bed but is snug I am so happy with our lodge and we all slept so well which never happens when we stay away!

We have been going to white cross bay holiday park for a few years now and this is by far one of the best lodges we have stayed in. Everything that we needed was available and the personal touches added, especially for my dogs was very considerate. We had an amazing break and we will definitely be returning in the future. Had a lovely weekend at Squirrels Nook. Had everything that you require and a few extras like milk, coffee and tea, not to mention a lovely bottle of prosecco. Nicely located, and even though it's close to the facilities it wasn't noisy.

Squirrels Nook was a fabulous lodge. Absolutely spotless, all home comforts you need and some nice extra touches for our dog. Also very well situated for Windermere and Ambleside, and a lovely setting on the lake itself. If travelling this way in future would definitely look to book again.

Squirrel Nook is a beautiful lodge,well kept,modern, very clean and comfortable. The owners are very approachable and accommodating. Some lovely little touches on arrival. Position of lodge on the park is great quite secluded. I would highly recommend staying here. Dog friendly, and even supplies blankets and bowls and treat jar.

Spent the week at this gorgeous lodge with my Husband, Mam and 2 dogs Macks & Ludo. It had every thing we needed, really comfortable sofa, well equipment kitchen, full size fridge freezer which is great as our dogs are fed frozen food. The dogs loved watching the world go by from the decking and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We had some lovely walks around the park and surrounding area, the view of the lake is amazing and just a short walk from lodge. We saw deer in the field near the picnic area and rabbits, we did have rain so Im so glad we took the mud buddy to wash the dogs down as the park was muddy in places. If you walk dogs before bed take a torch as park can be dark in areas. Thank you Lisa and Joel for being great owners! We didnt want to leave

Lovely welcome pack, treats for the dogs, well equipped kitchen, large screen TV, very comfy sofa and lovely bedrooms what else could you want? We will certainly be booking again.

Lovely cosy lodge with everything you need to enjoy a quiet break away from busy life. Very easy to find with directions that are on the emails sent prior to arrival. Very close to all entertainment, swimming etc. Extremely good to contact if you do need them, we had an electrical issue with the oven and the owners were extremely quick in replying and very helpful when we contacted the number left in the information pack, I couldnt of asked anymore of them regarding that. We would definitely stay here again as its in a perfect location to explore The Lake District. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed at new year n really enjoyed it, so booked again for long weekend. Loved the welcome pack, good idea for carpet runner and shoe rack as you come in the door, save your carpet. Had power cut on the Saturday for four hours, this was a fault in the area and up to Ambleside, nothing owners could have done about this, we would definitely stay again.
