We had such a lovely stay at this house in Windermere. The property was spotless when we arrived, and every room was beautifully decorated with real attention to detail. It was super spacious yet cosy, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time together. The location couldn't have been better, it is right in the heart of Windermere with shops, cafes, and everything we needed just on the doorstep, and the lakes just a 15minute walk away! The gorgeous bathroom and huge bath must get a special mention it was exactly what we needed after a long day of walking! Such a wonderful spot couldn't recommend enough! The cottage is a bit old but feels comfortable. It was clean and we enjoyed the nice back yard. It is close to the pier and a walking trail by the river.

We enjoyed our stay at Snowflake Cottage. The house was warm, clean and comfortable and ideally placed to visit the Lakes whilst also conveniently situated close to plenty of places to eat out. The rear parking space and EV charging station was an added bonus and very beneficial. The only slight disappointment was no welcome pack of tea and biscuits despite a welcome card asking us to enjoy? Fortunately with a Coop at the end of the road that was quickly remedied and the tea cravings were satisfied We would definitely recommend Snowflake Cottage and be happy to stay again.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Lovely design and decoration. Great location, was only 5 mins walk from local shops and cafe. We were given a lovely bottle of fizz when we arrived. thank you very much!

We used the bottom oven once and it did not seem to reach temperature. We were using it to keep food warm as opposed to cooking so it wasnt a big deal to us but thought we should make you aware.

Hi we have been using lakelovers for a few years now and have never had any problems till we visited snow flake cottage the location and cleanliness of cottage was spot on however we had problems with kitchen area cold tap was broken the shelf in fridge door was broken and fridge was iced up, the freezer did not work there was 2 broken plates in cuboard and several chipped glasses and there was only 5 forks this made our holiday very inconvenient for us but it did not spoil our holiday in Windermere cheers Ian

Lovely cottage in a great location. Nice to have a private parking space to the rear. Only negative was that the main bed was very low and a struggle to get out of after hiking the fells the day before, could be my age

We have just spent a wonderful few days at this delightful cottage. The location could not be better, and Snowflake offered everything we could have wished for. A tasteful, yet very cosy place, we instantly felt at home. Loved the additional bonus of a parking space and was spoilt for choice where to eat. We will be returning Anne & Martin

We had a great weekend in this wonderful cottage, that has everything you could need and more! It is very cosy and warm, with an electric fire in the living room. It is situated just a minutes walk from Windermere and all of its bars, restaurants and shops. It was great having a private car parking space at the back of the property, as the roads require a parking permit and are very busy. Overall a wonderful place to stay, definitely would recommend. Cant wait to return!

In addition to the feedback provided to Lakelovers on our first day, the property is in need of a maintenance and deep clean visit, also given our booking was for winter and the forecast was for freezing weather it was disappointing to find the heating set almost constantly to 8 degrees C, it was 24 hours before the property reached a comfortable temperature.

A beautifully presented house from which to enjoy Windermere and the surrounding area. The house had everything we needed for a short break between Christmas and New Year. Comfy beds and great to have a private parking space with direct access to the rear of the house. Appreciated the bottle left for us on arrival and we really hope to return. Steep stairs to the 2nd floor as mentioned in the listing. We couldnt get the bottom oven to heat up but we managed with the hob, top oven and microwave. We also enjoyed food from magic wok and the little chippy locally. Would recommend the pottery shop cafe too spent a happy couple of hours painting items which are to be posted home.

Snowflake Cottage is the perfect holiday home for the Lakes Beautifully decorated and furnished. with comfy beds and chairs, and a well equipped kitchen. Perfect to have a parking space as well as a visitors car pass, in case friends family visit. Locationwise is unbeatable, just a few metres walk to a train, bus, bars, restaurants and shops, as well as many walks in the South Lakes. Well definitely be back .. thank you so much

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage at such short notice. This was due to an issue at another property we were staying at. Sykes did amazing at sorting us somewhere else so quickly. This cottage literally has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Spotless clean with lovely fluffy towels and plenty of space for everyone to relax in. The cottage is located in a prime spot so close to the local shops and restaurants in Windermere. The parking space at the back was an added bonus if you come by car. I dont use my car here as we enjoy walking and using the local bus services, the bus stop is around the corner. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Wow what can I say, this is such a lovely cottage. A lot bigger on the inside from what it looks outside, we were a family of five and had plenty of room, it may be a little cramped in the lounge if there are six of you. Bedrooms lovely, only a minor point, it would be nice if both bedrooms could be king size beds as the double is small if you are over 6 foot. Location is perfect everything you need on your doorstep. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property in an ideal location close to all of Windermere's amenities. Very clean and tidy, and really wellpresented. Only issue we had was no access to BBC channels without logging into iPlayer on the smart TV in the lounge and login required to watch Channel 4 etc. via the TV apps, but that wasn't really detrimental to the property as a whole. Parking at the rear of the property was a real plus, given that Windermere town is often very busy and parking is at a premium. Have stayed in less appealing properties in and around Bowness and Windermere, and this one really stood out for all the right reasons. Spacious and roomy, with high ceilings and big bedrooms, and no less than 3 toilets over the 3 floors. Nothing bad to say about Snowflake Cottage at all. Worth the money and a great base for a family break in the Lake District.

Wonderful house, its home from home couldnt ask for more. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Its great having the parking space which is plenty big but can be tight manoeuvring into the lane between parked cars. Just a minute walk across the road to the coop and to the Main Street lots of coffee shops and restaurants, lovely ice cream shop no hills unlike Bowness which is a short drive, beautiful but full of tourists and bus trips of school kids. There is a little gravel area at the front of the house which was useful for my small dogs. Highly recommend and would definitely love to return.

Amazing cottage in a brilliant location We had a really enjoyable stay at Snowflake cottage. We found it to be immaculate, extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished & decorated and really well equipped. Its in an ideal location so close to the centre of Windermere, with a parking space at the back which is a huge benefit.

We had a lovely week at Snowflake cottage, so nice being close to Windermere village centre with cafes, bars and shops. The cottage was lovely and comfortable with all we needed. When we had a problem with the property Sykes were very helpful and prompt in sorting it out as were the owners. The only thing on the website that wasn't clear is the parking. There is an off road parking space at the property as well as a permit to park on the road at the front, so room for two cars.

Great cottage, well placed for hills, restaurants and bars, only a short distance to lake at Bowness on Windermere. Over the last few years we have been to many cottages and this is probably the best one we have been to, clean and well furnished. Coupe of minor areas for improvement, leaky tap in kitchen sink and small leak from sink in first bathroom bathroom. Would benefit from a gate in back garden to make it fully enclosed, otherwise perfect.

Lovely cottage in a great central location. No complaints about the cottage only suggestion would be a gate in the back garden so those guests with dogs can let them out securely. Other than that fabulous great to have a parking space and will definitely return to this cottage.

Great stay, great cottage and great location. We did lots of walks during our stay, arriving home tired at the end of the day to a very comfortable cottage with a brilliant, large bath. Loved the local bars and restaurants for a few enjoyable evenings out.
