Always enjoy stay at Jessica's. Garden looking good. Still no recycling facility and don't want to bring back home.

Property is located at the top of a hill about 10 min walk from town, takes a bit of effort to get back from town. Bad electric shower no water pressure Old furniture, draw fronts and handles falling off. Not very clean. Cottage, but it does not have that cosy feel to it. Nice garden but limited views. Bed relatively comfortable, quiet location. I guess in general it was ok for the price we paid.

This cottage is perfect for us, location, size, facilities and cleanliness. The maintenance is good but we feel it needs a little upgrade on the inside. The garden has recently been done and is gorgeous. The gas fire is a lovely touch and feels very homely but did not always light we weren't too bothered as the weather was great. We have booked again for next year already and will try to spot a free weekend that suits us in between.

We've been to Jessica's a few times now, the cottage is great for us, accommodation, location, facilities, all great. The walk up Brant Fell on your doorstep, and Bowness just a walk down the road. We really like this place.

The cottage was lovely and very well equipped and comfortable. Our only complaint was that it lacked that personal touch in terms of a welcome pack with information about the cottage and the surrounding area. We would have liked to know more about the history of the cottage and recommendations on things to do, where to eat etc.

This is the second time we have stayed here and will be booking again. Perfect for our needs enclosed garden for our dog, close to the centre and great parking. The hill is steep so could be an issue for some and we only realised where the thermostat was a couple of days in our fault!. A great place to stay, we love it!

Lovely cottage with lovely spacious garden and good private parking area. Couldn't connect our phones to the WiFi for some reason as kept getting wrong password when trying to input the password written on the bottom of the hub. I'm thinking that the password has been changed but didn't find any info about the new password in the cottage. The only other negative was the distance and gradient of the walk back to the cottage from the town centre which was steeper than we expected. Although this was almost levelled out by the lovely quiet location of the cottage and brilliant dog walking field almost next door. All in all we had a lovely week at the cottage.

Cottage was lovely with pretty enclosed garden and secure parking. There was no hot water other than electric shower. For the price it would be nice to have basic things like a dish cloth and hand soap included.

Lovely cottage. Would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect close to town but nice and quiet up a very steep hill so not suitable for walking if mobility issues but not a problem if not! Garden is dog secure one lower fence but no gaps and lovely to sit in. Cottage itself is comfy and clean with character Boiler is a bit noisy but you soon get used to it

It's a nice cottage on a very steep hill not suitable for older people we feel it needs modernising to the 21 St century. The out side furniture is ancient and.needs at least a canopy if it gets hot . It's good for dogs enclosed garden is good . The central heating is very dated from the seventies or eighties.the timer sings all day and night , it reminded us of being in crete with the cycados churping . The 1st week end was very cold and we couldn't turn the heating up as we only discovered the thermostat later in the week .

Fantastic cottage. Perfect size and facilities and location for us. Beautifully presented. 2 slight niggles the coal effect gas fire was not working but the maintenance guy came out straight away, he couldn't fix it but left a fan heater. The shower was adequate but we would've loved a better shower. Overall we had a superb time in Bowness and much of this was down to the wonderful Jessica's cottage.

Had a perfect stay at Jessicas cottage. The garden was fully enclosed for our dachshund which made us feel relaxed when he went outside. The cottage itself was great, very comfortable and had everything we needed including parking. We already knew it was up a steep hill which kept us fit, but still only a short walk into the centre of Bowness. Already planning to book for later this year.

Beautiful cottage and excellent location. There is a hill which we were expecting but the proximity to the centre makes it worth it. Only suggestion in the colder months heating could be put on in advance of guests arriving, obviously weather dependent.

The property is just perfect. A little walk up from the village. Lots of places to eat and drink. Will definitely return.

Just returned from a lovely relaxed week away, staying at Jessica's cottage. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities you need whilst staying there. The garden is lovely to sit and relax in, and was fully secure for our dogs to roam around it. The cottage is ideally situated near the centre of Bowness, but there is a steep hill you need to climb to return to the cottage. Would definitely like to stay in Jessica's cottage again.

Unfortunately the toilet waste is still overflowing from the drain cover. This was an issue last time we said in this property . This happens all the time however due to the rain you don't always know as the slate tile are wet .

Just returned from a loverly stay at jessicas cottage. Proper home from home..everything you need for a break away..our dogs loved the enclosed garden..not too far from the center of bowness although the walk back to the cottage..up a very steep incline..takes its toll ..wifi is a little slow..but the fire and heating work a treat on cooler evenings..nice to have your own driveway..but two cars would be a tight squeeze..take a camping light for the garden as there is no light..would stay again..thanks again Sykes.

Overall it was a poop experience. From the communication with lakelovers Sykes to the basic facilities within the cottage. Just disappointing. It was a shame because location wise, the property is excellent.

A delightful cottage, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with no expense spared. We loved the kitchen that had everything we needed and seemed brand new, and the luxury bed linen on the large and comfortable bed, and the thick white towels on the heated rail! Beautiful curtains too! Luxury! Every window has a pretty view and it's so near to the centre and the lakeside. The garden was perfect for the dog to wander in and there was a real sense of privacy and peace. Thank you.

We had a great week in this cosy cottage, its compact but everything we needed was there and the dogs loved the safe, enclosed garden. It would be lovely to sit out in the summer. An outside light would be a huge improvement as we arrived in the dark in a torrential downpour to find the cottage in complete darkness, also some heatinglights on arrival would have been more welcoming. It was very handy being able to park at the door however it would be a bit optimistic to have two cars there. The area is much smaller than it looks in the photos so very little room to manoeuvre. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Would have been nice to have a Christmas tree up, as we were staying over Christmas. Didn't feel the dogs were very welcome as there were so many signs up saying what you couldn't do with the dogs.

We absolutely loved our holiday in Jessicas cottage. It felt so private, quiet and utterly relaxing! The cottage itself was well equipped, clean, and very cozy. The garden was lovely although we didnt spend too long sitting it it, because mid October just wasnt quite warm enough. It was nice and secure for our little pooch. The cottage is positioned perfectly for walks straight out onto Brantfell, and only a 5 minute walk to Bowness centre, but be warned it is a STEEP climb back up the hill!! We had a few clear nights and the clear skies were amazing, very little light pollution. We would 100 return.

Lovely cottage in a good location. Thought it was a detached cottage from the advertised pictures but is end of terrace which could be concerning having dog's that could bark and disturb next door. Great having use of washing machinetumble dryer. Nice garden. Some small maintenance issues e.g toilet roll holder kept coming offbathroom light cord very flimsynot sure if all the windows would open as seemed to be sealed. Overall nice stay in a nice cottage in a great location.

Fabulous accommodation. We did some great walks from the cottage and Bowmess was a really good base for exploring the area. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs. A sensor light outside would have been beneficial but otherwise a fabulous property. We had an amazing time.

Beautiful property, very clean with everything you need , home from home feel. Lovely garden Parking at the property is a bonus Situated perfectly for a quite stay , but close enough to be able to walk into Bowness shops and lake side.

We had a great week, the cottage was very nice, and had everything we needed. We shall book it again for sure.

It needs a broom to sweep wooden floor . . A booster for the WiFi so you can use it in garden . Very good maintenance people who unblocked drain on a Sunday Looking forward to our booking in August .

Nice cottage at the top of a hill very near the town. Great for dog as field nextdoor which leads to lovely hillside walks. Nice facilities and clean. Ideal to have car parking and garden. Peaceful setting and pretty cottage.

We have stayed at the property before so knew what to expect, that its a little tired and basic but the cost reflects that and the location outweighs it, but this time the property was quite grubby which we never had before. There were a lot of dog hairs in the rug and carpet, we have dogs we understand but it looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in a while. The bathroom is in desperate need of replacement, the shower is next to pointless and the bath very old and small. The mattress is also in need of replacing, it has no support at all and gave us both a bad back. Perfect little cottage in a fabulous location, with just a few small changes could be gorgeous! Well use Lakelovers every visit, but will only go back to Jessicas cottage once they have updated those things.

Pretty cottage in a great location. Garden was tranquil, private and enclosed for the dog. Cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable. Bathroom was basic and in need of updating, but spacious and functional. However that didn't spoil a fantastic week. Lakelovers were easy to contact whilst away and dealt with a minor issue very efficiently. Would recommend and return.

Stayed here on several occasions now. Garden secure for our dog. Central to get out and about though be advised on very steep hill. No recycling bin to be found and not want to impose on neighbours.

WE HAVE PREVIOUSLY STAYED AT JESSICAS COTTAGE AND REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY BUT I THINK THIS TIME THE PLACE WASN'T AS CLEAN AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AND I THINK THE OWNERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS AS THEY ARE PAYING SOMEONE TO CLEAN THE PLACE ON THEIR BEHALF. WHEN WE LEFT I SWEPT UNDER THE SOFA AND IT WAS OBVIOUS IT HADN'T BEEN SWEPT IN A WHILE. I BRUSHED UNDER THE CUSHIONS ON THE SOFA AND IT WAS FULL OF CRUMBS AND HAIRS SO HADN'T BEEN DONE IN A WHILE EITHER. THE BATH PLUGHOLE WAS DISGUSTINGLY FULL OF HAIRS AND THICK SLIME FROM AGES BEFORE WHICH I PULLED OUT AND DISPOSED OF. THE LIGHT FITTING IN THE LOUNGE IS VERY DUSTY. THERE ARE LUMPS OF DUSTY FLUFF COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE RADIATOR IN THE MAIN BEDROOM. THE GARDENER CAME AND HE HALF FILLED THE BIN WITH HIS GARDEN WASTE WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO USE THE BIN FOR OUR TWO WEEK STAY. THE BED LINEN AND TOWELS WERE NOT CHANGED AFTER ONE WEEK AND NO ONE OFFERED FOR A CHANGE WHICH I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN. THE VAC SMELLED DISGUSTING AND DIDN'T PICK UP WHICH I ASSUMED IT WAS FULL AND I WASN'T GOING TO EMPTY IT SO I BRUSHED THE CARPETS UPSTAIRS AND ON THE STAIRS. WE HAVE A SELF CATERING PROPERTY IN CORNWALL WHICH WE CLEAN AND SERVICE OURSELVES SO I UNDERSTAND THERE CAN BE ISSUES FROM TIME TO TIME BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE CLEANLINESS OF THE PLACE THIS TIME. HAVING SAID THAT WE LOVE JESSICAS COTTAGE AND WILL HOPE TO RETURN FOR ANOTHER LOVELY HOLIDAY IN THE FUTURE. HEATHER ACORNLEY

The cottage is in an idyllic location with a stunning private garden perfect for us. However, some of the facilities are a bit tired the fire refused to light after several attempts so we gave up theres no clear instruction about the oven& the shower is very low power,& refused to reposition its head, so you need to stand directly underneath it, very close to the end of the bath not ideal. An extra lamp in the sitting room wouldnt go amiss either it can be very gloomy in the tv corner. None of this will stop us returning thoughjust pointing them out for information.
