Had an amazing week in an amazing cottage. So peaceful and relaxing with stunning views. Cottage had everything needed and very comfortable and spacious and kitchen equipped with everything even a good frying pan which is always a bonus. Weather was also perfect. Our 7th visit to the lakes but the cottage was by far the best we have stayed in so will definitely will be back. Only downside was that we had to come home. Thank you for letting us use your cottage.
We had an absolutely fabulous week ! Thank you. Definitely 5 stars. Accommodation was wonderful, they have thought of everything and we couldnt fault it. Perfect for a quiet week away. However, easy to travel to some beautiful places. Gave us great peace of mind to know our two dogs were safe in the gorgeous garden. Lovely walks, great pubs nearby and very comfortable beds. Property was perfect for the six of us was great. Two lounges allowed for a welcome space between adults and kids ! Would definitely return

This cottage was a fantastic accommodation, the kitchen was very well equipped sharp knives a bonus good size dining table, and comfortable seating area. Up in the upper lounge another area to retire to in the evenings watch the sun setting. Upstairs three bedrooms, all with shower on suit, two accommodating kingsize very comfortable beds the third two twin beds. All good quality linen. Bathroom towels reasonably goid except one small hand towel had a hole in it. The bedroom itself appears clean except there is dust on the walls and expecially behind the wardrobe in front top room. losing stars for cleanliness. Coming back down the stairs to the hallway, the walls look rather tired and in need of painting due to lots of black scuff marks on the walls. The utilityboot room is a fantasic add enabling to dry off your dog, bootsrainwear. The garden absolutely spot on, enclosed and safe for the dogs and very pleasant to sit out in an evening. Location wise, very rural with lots of contry nature sounds, a very narrow lane to reach the property with quite a few serious pot holes. We visited the The Masons Arms pub at the top of the lane, highly recommend booking a table, meals were freshly cooked and very tasty. It was nice being able to return each evening to this lovely cottage and be able to relax.

A fantastic cottage in an absolutely beautiful spot. There was everything that we could possibly have needed! The showers were brilliant, superbly hot and powerful. The dogs thought the garden was great....not sure the pheasants were quite so keen on them! Overall I would thoroughly recommend the cottage, and hope to return at some point in the future.
A wonderful place to stay that had everything we asked for. We were unsure of how cozy it would be due to the stone floors but it exceeded our expectations. It was a super cozy cottage, really comfy beds, lovely hot powerful showers and a fantastic garden for both humans and dogs to explore. Fresh eggs each day which were available to buy roadside opposite the cottage. Great location with beautiful views and a lovely stroll away from the Mason Arms for an afternoon drink or bite to eat. Lots to do within a short drive too. We did a self drive boat hire on Windermere which was great fun, trip to the Beatrix Potter museum which is great for both children and adults and we took in a film on a rainy afternoon at the independent cinema in the brewery arts centre which was a lovely experience. Highly recommend and would definitely book to stay again. Thank you
It was our fourth time staying at Great Hartbarrow Farm Cottage. The views are amazing. The cottage has everything needed for a completely relaxing stay. The dogs love the enclosed garden. We cant wait to come back soon.
We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage lived up to the description, so well equipped, cozy and warm in a quiet location, welcomed when holidaying at the end of October. The property is well placed for the tourist attractions as the was the main purpose of our stay on this occasion.
A lovely property in a beautiful location. We have been to the Lake District many times and this cottage and location superseded our expectations. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
Fab cottage. Absolutely great. One issue we had was water. The house is on a private supply, coming from a bore hole which is managed by the cottage next door. Lovely neighbours, by the way. Very helpful. There was something wrong with the pump for two days while we were there, so water supply was intermittent. In reality all was fine, but it could have been a lot worse, and potentially very disruptive to a holiday. We'd still go back, however. As the problem seemed to be a rare one not one which you'd expect to happen regularly. Before we worked out what the problem was, we called the Sykes emergency helpline. Ended up talking to their maintenance guy called Steve he was a superstar. In the end he didn't need to come out the neighbours solved it before he got to us but he was class.

This was a wonderful holiday cottage, in a beautiful, tranquil location. It surpassed my expectations, and one of the nicest cottages I've stayed in in the Lakes. The kitchen was incredible well equipped, with a higher standard of equipment and appliances than usually expect from a holiday let. The beds were comfy, the views beautiful. The gardens and grounds were lovely to sit in, with plenty of different seating areas depending on whether you want sun or shade. Having two living areas rather than one large open plan living space really suits our family on holiday as well. Really hope to come back here again, and see the fells outside the door, and the pheasants and woodpeckers in the garden every morning.
