The property was lovely and spacious and close to the centre of Bowness, convenient for everything. Lovely large kitchen with big table. Heating easy to operate. Only slight downside was that the towels are small and thin, and there is no freezer at all! Not even an fridge ice box. Otherwise, everything was lovely, and I would stay again if visiting Bowness

We a couple with an adult child had a really lovely stay at Chapel Rest. The house is beautiful and very clean. It's very well positioned near the centre of Bowness with easy access to local shops, pubs and cafes. I won't miss the hill or the stairs but it got our step count up! The WiFi died on the Sunday evening and wasn't back on until Wednesday am. We know this is outwith the owners' control though. Contact with Sarah about it was very easy. The kitchen was great and very well equipped apart from the lack of a freezer or ice box. I would suggest is a brush and pan or a floor sweeper for guest use as the floor and stairs did get a bit gritty after a few days. We would be really happy to return in the future.

Great location right in the middle of the main steet with all the shops around. . Very clean and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing place to stay! Location and accommodation exceeded all expectations and was sad to leave. Was a home from home, that had absolutely everything you need for a stress free break away. Sarah owner was helpful and accommodating to little changes. Thank you all and will recommend and hopefully be back. Break made perfect by amazing weather, the lakes was a gift.

Chapel rest is a great 3 bedroomed accommodation with a large kitchen and living room. Both showers are great and the beds are comfortable. Its clean and really close to town. You cant go wrong!

This was our second time staying at chapel rest and again it didnt disappoint, excellent accommodation over two floors, warm, comfortable and all facilities to a very high standard. Perfect location in the heart of Bowness. Very clean. Would very much recommend.

It would be close to perfect if the mattresses are firmer.

Lovely cottage, spacious clean and beautifully decorated. Very central for Bowness and a lovely quiet base for our exploration walks . Only thing we missed was the accomodation not having a freezer ,even a small one would have been useful but apart from that everything else was perfect . Thank you for a lovely stay .

Well located home with all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the living area comfortable. We enjoyed how close the restaurants were, and how easy to walk to the main pier., We enjoyed our stay and recommend the place to visit Bowness on Windermere. There are a lot of stairs so visitors with mobility might have an issue.

Lovely accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Only tiny issue was that the fridge door didnt close without wedging a door stop in it. Fantastic location in the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as first time visitors to the Lakes.

Had problem with the large velux in the main bedroom not closing properly.

Wonderful place to stay and location is perfect to get a great mix of the outdoors and town life. Kids had a wondeful time here and are looking to return again soon!

We had a great stay at chapel rest. Everything was perfect. It was cozy, beautifu and had everything we needed. Will definitely come back next time we come to the lakes

Chapel Rest was the perfect spot to use as a home base for exploring. We visited with my husband, our 5 year old who loved the bunk beds! my 79 year old mother in law and our 5 month old baby. It was perfectly comfortable for all of us with plenty of space. I will say, if you have limited mobility, it would be a challenging place to stay because of all the stairs as noted in the listing, but we liked having the separation of space. We all want to come back and visit again.

Great holiday home. Fabulous location right in the centre of town. Added benefit of having its own parking space. The accommodation was clean and decorated to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.

This house was a home away from home. There was nothing it didnt provide. Location was more than ideal. Very central for a young family of 5 to get around on foot to the tourist locations as well as drive to various parts of the Lake District within a short drive. Wish we could go back again soon. Thank you for the comfort you have given our family

All round fantastic! Manoeuvring into the parking space is not for the faint hearted but anyone whos familiar with Bowness will understand how great it is to have private parking in the village. The location is absolutely brilliant literally a stones throw from all the shops, cafes and cinema. The house itself was spotlessly clean, lovely fixtures and fittings and a very well equipped kitchen. Would be more than happy to stay again.

Large comfortable airy rooms and good kitchen easy walk to any of Bowness points of interest . The Flying Pig well worth a visit .

Really lovely place. In such a good location. The parking was a little tricky. But didn't detract from our experience.

We had such a lovely stay at Chapel Rest and didnt want to leave! Perfect location in Bowness and the accommodation is brilliant. Everything is really well set up for children too which made things so much easier when travelling with two toddlers. Thank you! Only small suggestion for improvement would be to provide a spare key, as you need the key to lock the door and cant then put the key in the lock outside if any of your group are still out. Just a minor suggestion as we really did love our stay!

Lovely apartment in an excellent location in Bowness on Windermere. Spacious comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated, very effective heating, power shower, and reliable WiFi. We stayed for two weeks on a working holiday the large dining table doubled up as a desk for the two of us there are two double plug sockets beside it. We would definitely stay there again.

Situation of house is excellent, shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Beds were comfy but ensuite could have been cleaner. Behind the wash basin looked like it had never been cleaned and there was a leak from the bath which had made the doorframe at the bottom go mouldy. Also had to move one of the cabinets and there was a pile of hair and cobwebs. Travelled around the lakes and Bowness was the best place to stay.

We were able to stay close to family who had also booked a guesthouse nearby. Chapel rest is more spacious than the outside would suggest and liked the quirkiness of the property. It was well equipped and clean with modern facilities. Backing out of car space was tricky but I had assistance from family, but at least we had a car space at peak season!

The parking space is a little tight especially when there are guests in the adjoining apartment. There did appear to be some DVD's missing from the drawer under the television and player. Otherwise this was a pleasant place to stay with good facilities.

Great flat in excellent location. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Only things I would add are that the main bedroom really needs blackout blinds on the two velux windows it was super bright at 4 am. Worth noting that there is no freezer I should have read the listing more carefully as I arrived with a number of frozen meals. Parking is slightly tight but manageable.

Lovely house,we did have a couple of problems,couldnt get tv to work and leak from bath but it was dealt with professionaly,couple of pots needed rewashing had food stuck to them think thats probably down to dishwasher and not being checked when put away,other than that every where was very clean. No jacuzzi bath.We had a lovely holiday,Bowness is a lovely place to stay.

Excellently positioned property and really nice inside the pictures dont do it justice. The only reason the comfort score is lower is because the main bedroom has two huge velux windows with no blackout blinds. Therefore, the room is sooooo BRIGHT at 4am that it wakes you up and spoils your sleep in what is a very comfortable and cosy bed. Other than that we couldnt fault it and would most definitely stay again.

Kitchen utensils a vegetable steamer, a food blender these would be so useful for this survivor of throat cancer left with serious swallowing difficulties.

Our stay in Chapel Rest, Bowness on Windermere was a great success for our family group. The accommodation was of a high standard, clean, central to all amenities and light and airy. Being down a quiet side street with easy access to all Bowness and Windermere has to offer, a bus stop on the main road, free parking outside the door this spacious accommodation was good value for money. Definitely one to return to.

Extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped house in a great location. And the selection of games provided was great too!

Good location everything was in walking distance, the Cottage was comfortable and was good to have off road parking would recommend.
