Lauron's View Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lauron's View, lovely cottage with brilliant views, even saw the Red Arrows fly past and saw a deer in the garden one morning. Facilities in the cottage are good and one member of the party had reduced mobility and found everywhere in and around the property accessible.
Alison
Booked for next year already we loved it so much.
This is our second visit to Lauron's View. Amazing house, comfortable beds, great showers, it has everything we needed for our weeks stay. I'd agree with previous comments in that it could do with a deep clean cobwebs on walls and items left under the bed in main bedroom. And the light over the kitchen island still flickers. But these are minor things and we'll definitely be back.
Laurons View is an amazing place. Its much more spacious than it looks in the images. Owners have thoughtfully arranged everything, a family can ask for and everything in the house is of great standard. View from the balcony is just magical. We are definitely coming back here.
Could not fault it best views in the lakes
Great location and views, property could do with some maintenance. Gutters blocked causing water to fit the patio at the front which woke us up during heavy rain... windows were allowing air in during strong winds which made the living room feel cold.
Eamonn
Fantastic house, views over Windermere are amazing, even better than photos suggest, beds are so comfortable, we all slept really well, helped by quiet location. Also the whole property was spotless, will be back
We stayed here last year and loved it, still enjoyed this stay but few issues. Could do with a deep clean and tlc, cobwebs, door on cupboard in living room broken, bath broken, window broken, bedroom patio door broken had to get maintenance out no bulb in bedside lamp, kitchen light flickers was like this last year too lovely house and location shame about the minor issues. Would not stop us coming back but for such a WOW property I expect a little more.
Beautiful house and spectacular views. Exceptional outdoor space and garden. Will definitely return to this outstanding home.
Beautiful property with stunning views, despite the weather! Good location for the town and amenities. Had everything needed in the house for a great stay.
Lovely propertythe best one we have ever stayed in up the lakes. Views fantastic.Equipped really well.Spacious rooms.Beds and bedding luxurious.Lovely big fluffy towels. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Access to walks and town brilliant. Thanks for a fantastic stay to celebrate my parents diamond wedding Tiniest negativethink the toaster needs replacingworks intermittently and the hob took forever to heat up to cook bacon
We've just returned from a wonderful stay at Lauron's View. What an amazing property! The views were unbelievable and facilities excellent. Highly recommend this property. The road leading up to the property is steep so probably not ideal for those with mobility issues, but otherwise what a fantastic place. A credit to the owners and to Lakelovers. Thank you!
Great high up view overlooking Lake Windermere. The house is warm and comforting and we would be happy to return . You can walk into town providing you are fit and enjoy a rather steep climb back to the house . The area of garden around property is also on a slope . There are a number of general issues re maintenance and cleaning eg cover missing off bath taps . Cobwebs in fire area. Lack of wet coat storage. Slate missing on steps . Very dusty flower vase . No welcome pack at all so be prepared. There are good facilities for children re cot , books , high chair . It may be useful to have twin beds in one room to provide more flexibility in sleeping arrangements . Laurons View provides you with the opportunity to sit and watch your magical view change continuously. Our family had a lovely stay , despite the Lakeland rain and are happy to recommend this property .

Great location and great property. The views from the outside and inside spaces were fantastic.
This is a lovely property, the view from the balcony is beautiful. The only negatives the decking could have done with a clean up. Crisps in between decking. Outside back door could have been swept. Cobwebs round outside window in bathroom. Apart from that really enjoyable stay. Second time I have stayed here.
Fab place to stay and the view is just mind blowing. First ice the day we were leaving and the steps were so dangerous it took us an hour to be able to get near the car, you could do with having a salt bucket next to the door. But we loved our stay and so did our friends with thanks
Alyson
Laurons view was a fantastic house, with everything you need provided which was great. The bedroom doors in particular are all sticking, you have to really push them and end up banging them shut. The door in the living area out to the patio was challenging too. Otherwise we loved our stay. The bank is very steep up to the property, so I would say anybody with walking difficulties would need a car or taxi.
Lauron's View is an excellent holiday home and is extremely comfortable. This was our 3rd time there. We were, however, disappointed that none of the TVs in the bedrooms worked and only the lounge TV was connected to the internet and we could stream content from there. We phoned on the Friday we arrived to complain about this and Stewart from Lakelovers came out to check the problem. Like us he said it was an aerial problem and he would arrange an aerial company to fix it. This never happened as the owner said it was not a problem when he last stayed in the house. It is a problem which Stewart from Lakelovers also witnessed so no doubt other guests will have the same problem.
Our 5th time at this property and such a relaxing place this is, it is short of nothing and never had so much outdoor furniture in such good condition to make so much of the amazing views on both patios. Shame they cant do anything about the views but it changes all the time on the landscapes with the weather which makes it even better. Great to watch the fighter planes going over the lake at certain times of the day. Didnt see the deer in the garden this time but 3 out of 5 visits isnt bad. Only slight niggle was TV wasnt working on the aerial which didnt bother us too much as we didnt go to watch tv but its just handy if you want too watch the news or weather. It does however have smart TVs in all rooms with all the Iplayers BBC, ITV, Netflix etcto log in to Will definately be booking again soon.
We left something behind of value in property But sykes are terrible to contact ... We left something behind of value in property But sykes are terrible to contact after your stay is complete It appears they don't care about you once they have your money and stay is complete Shocking after stay service very unprofessional When you phone them they redirect you and you are just on hold
We have been to a number of holiday cottages over the years in The Lake District. Laurons View tops the lot by far. As soon as we walked in we felt at home. Very attractive accommodation and comfortable throughout. Everything provided. It was great having a safe garden for children. The views were to die for. Outside furniture on balcony and different parts of garden was lovely. If we stay in Bowness again Laurons View would be too of list to stay in.
Kirsty
The house was excellent. The location was incredible, a short walk into Bowness. The house was clean and modern and had everything we couldve needed. A massive plus was the balcony with exceptional views, we were also lucky enough to see a couple of jets flying by. A couple of minor niggles which we left a note of in the little book, the patio door didnt lock which we contacted Lakelovers about, they sent maintenance who advised they would let the owners know. The kitchen window drops when opened so had to be pushed shut from the outside. One of the side lamps in the main bedroom doesnt work, we tried a new bulb also and it didnt work. One of the planks on the deck has splintered slightly so we moved the coffee table onto it to avoid anyone standing on it. Overall, nothing that affected our stay much, we would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay again! Thank you!!
Graeme
We stay in a lot of holiday lets and this ranks as one of the very best for us it's seldom that the property is actually better than the photos which already had impressed us so a really nice surprise when we arrived. Very clean & very well stocked. Amazing gardens all around the property and plenty of sitting areas Great views over Lake Windermere from the main balcony at the front and also through the large living room windows. Really good location close to Bowness lakeside although fairly steep hill to climb on way back but shouldn't deter since many people come to Lake District for steep climbs! We will certainly return.
Mehrdad
It was the best view to wake up to every morning, absolutely stunning property
Absolutely fantastic stay here with my family, amazing views and beautiful house cant recommend enough, definitely be booking again!
Kathryn
We had an amazing stay here, the view is spectacular and the highlights for our 2 children were jets flying over the lake & deer that came to visit us. An added bonus for us on the rainy days we were there was the gamepuzzle cupboard which we all enjoyed exploring playing games & puzzles. Everything was really comfortable and nothing was lacking, all the comforts of home.
Carole
Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. Everything was just perfect. Very sad to leave but will hopefully return soon! Thank you!
Michael
We were disappointed that maintenance was lacking. We had already noted that there were cracked tiles on the floor of the main room. They caused us no dismay whatsoever. However, to find that the cooking hob was damaged was rather distressing though we were relieved to discover that it did not impair its use. The fridge was another matter. The place where upright bottles can be stored was missing and when we laid flat our milk containers, they leaked, as we would expect. Not only did we lose milk, we lost space for other items in the fridge and we were left with a small cleaning operation. We do intend to return the house is wonderful, comfortable, and large enough for us. But I very much hope that repairs will be seen to before then.
Fabulous house in a great position and setting.
Overall Lauron's View is a great house to stay in, so muck so, we've booked again for next year. The only issue is highlighted below The patio door out to the balcony needs attention. It can be very difficult to open and close plus the lock does not work.
We had a lovely time at Laurens View. The view from the lounge is unbelievable and sitting watching the fighter jets go over was wonderful. There were just a couple of things where improvements could be made, the tiling on the kitchen area and shower rooms need addressing. Also, the previous occupants had left the oven dirty. This didnt affect us though as we didnt do any cooking, we ate out at the lovely restaurants nearby and we can highly recommend a night at the Cafe Italia, it is superb.
What a beautiful house! We were so happy when we walked into the property, the photos dont do it justice! Spectacular views and the comfort of a really well kept house. We loved every minute of our stay. The kids especially loved the garden. We will definitely be back.
Louise
The property is very well equipped. The bedrooms are well decorated. The view is amazing and its different every time you look at it. The grounds around the property are very well kept and the parking is very good for busy Bowness.
The property without a doubt is lovely with stunning views and very clean. It's location is perfect so you can walk out to eat and drive anywhere easily. The facilities for adults are also great. Our one let down is that we chose this house over others as it said it had facilities for a baby as in a cot and a high chair. The high chair was very stained and dirty underneath. The cot which we had to assemble ourselves although pre requested was very basic and way too low for a small baby, plus we brought our own sheets as requested but there was no mattress so ended up useless. We definitely would recommend for adults and families without babies
Michael
This is an excellent property, view are brilliant, would stay here again
Hollie
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and the view.
Michael
The property is amazing with tremendous views over Windermere. Weve stayed here six times already and the place never disappoints, and no doubt well be back again this year
This is the most wonderful well equipped house. The views are incredible and the house well furnished, warm and comfortable.
Great holiday, loved the property. Had initial problem with broken toilet seat and leaking towel rail heater, this was quickly resolved by Lakelover's engineers prompt attention.
