We had an amazing stay in beautiful Yonder Lea. The accommodation was 5 stars and it was situated so close to the centre of Bowness just a short walk to shops and restaurants. The EV charger was a bonus. Very dog friendly and the gorgeous Christmas decorations made us feel very festive close to Christmas. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

What an amazing place! I celebrated my 60th birthday and this place was perfect. The owner kindly put up the Christmas decorations which made the whole stay memorable. Furnishing are of high quality and everything was spotless. Thank you Yonder Lea for a wonderful weekend.

A fabulous property which incorporated all of the facilities that you might need for a nice breakholiday. The weather was too inclement for us to sample the outside space but generally the property is close to all of the amenities of Windermere and Bowness. However There was no welcome pack left for usam I be unreasonable in expecting a pint of milk and a loaf of bread plus some tea bags or coffee? The EV charger was a welcome bonus although there were no instructions available to explain why it kept cutting out and restarting? There were no egg cups amongst the substantial crockery available. All three of these items were minor and did not detract from our enjoyment of the property. We would have no hesitation in rebooking although hopefully next time, the weather will be more forgiving!

This is a really great property with everything you could need. Great beds,fully equipped kitchen and great comfortable living area. The enclosed garden was ideal for the dog. Situated in an ideal place for town and lake although up quite a steep hill so not good for disabled people or elderly. Would definitely recommend a stay.

What a perfect location, and a great property. The space was perfect, even a little sneaky lake view The property itself had plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery The beds comfortable as was the seating in the main living space. We didnt get great weather so didnt utilise the outside space but it looked great.. all in all couldnt fault it.

Beautiful property perfectly situated in a quiet road very close to the main town of Bowness. Well equipped house,very clean and comfortable for a nice relaxing break. I can't fault anything about this property.

The property is amazingly furnished with lovely views and very close to local amenities, one of the best we have stayed in. I will however probably not be going back as I will have to think very carefully about booking through Sykes cottages or lake lovers. We unfortunately left an item behind in the property which i except was our fault but I have received a email to say you have it. Unfortunately 6 weeks has now passed and despite offering to pay upfront for any postage fees I still dont have it back and it is bordering on impossible to actually speak to anyone at Sykes cottages or lake lovers about it. Absolutely loved the house both the space and the fact it had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and the house itself was close to everything. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The only thing we would have benefited from was clearer instructions for the cooker.

Amazing property with everything you need for a break in the Lakes. Close to walk to the centre of Bowness but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We were a family of 7 spanning 3 generations and there was enough space and privacy that we didn't feel on top of each other during our stay. We would definitely recommend it and would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Yonder Lea for a week and loved it. Lovely house that is 10 mins walk from the lake front. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was situated in a quiet neighbourhood with a beautiful garden to the rear. We would love to come back!

We adored this house, it had everything we needed and more. Everywhere was spotless and the furnishings were very high quality. Fantastic location too, only a short walk into Bowness. We would definitely return.

A fabulous bungalow for a family get together. Well appointed, very comfortable beds, lovely to see the lake from the living room window. The walk up the hill after a visit to the fizzy tarte was a bit slower than the walk down. My only small gripe from a maintenance perspective was the dripping tap in the house bathroom.

The property was very nice and clean and spacious and we even had a distant view of the lakes from the back garden and we were very lucky to have a great week of weather. Our only issue was with the kitchen appliances and heating. The cooker was operated via a magnet which didn't seem to always want to work and the microwave required you to scan a QR code to get the instructions. The Hive heating unit was set to 29 degrees in a week of mid 20 degrees weather and we didn't notice it until we all realised we were cooking more than the weather should have made us feel. Couldn't get the Hive unit to lower the temperature so we felt we spent time battling the inbuilt technology of the property when we were in the Lake District to escape from all of that and enjoy the countryside and scenery. Not a problem for those who can't separate themselves from their technology for a break but that was the point of our break.

We stayed at yonder Lea for a long weekend and we had a lovely time! The facilities are great everything we needed was there. The house was so clean and a well looked after property. The location is ideal its only a couple of minutes walk into BownessOnWindermere. I would highly recommend the property.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Yonder Lea. The bungalow is in a fantastic location please note there is a steep hill on the ascent to the bungalow which some people may struggle with but it wasnt a problem with our party of 8 just a short stroll to the main shopsbarspier, there is a lovely view of the lake in the distance from the patio. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, we received a nice welcome gift, the fixtures and fittings are top quality, top marks for the sleep quality, the beds are sooooo comfy! Everything has been thought of. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Belated review for a lovely stay in early December. This property was incredible. We stayed with a newborn and a dog for a first holiday and the property suited our needs perfectly. It has been equipped and furnished to a beautiful standard, and was impeccably clean and spacious, with everything you need for a home away from home. The location is very central and we loved being able to nip back in the daytime. Would be even more gorgeous in the summer as the outside area is lovely. The property was fantastic, clean everything you need is supplied. Only downside for our party was the very steep hills to get to the property. We had my 80 year old mother with us who is very fit, but she struggled with the banks. We just had taxis back, so no problem just needs stating in the advert. 1010

We are just back from a lovely weekend away at Yonder Lea. The stunning property is a few minutes walk in to Windermere on a lovely quiet cul de sac. The property was clean and well set out. The beds were really comfortable. The owner was really friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend and we will be looking to book again.

A beautiful bungalow in a quiet residential culdesac with views towards Lake Windermere in the distance. Property is very clean and luxuriously appointed. The beds were comfortable duvets probably a little too heavyhot for June. The shower in main bathroom could do with a shelf on which to put shower gelshampooconditioner. The rainfall shower head is probably too large for the cubicle but that's just personal taste. The Smart TV in the sitting room relies on you logging in to your own Netflix and Iplayer accounts but the downside is the poor wifi everything takes an age to buffer making some programmes almost impossible to watch. The guidebook does say that faster broadband should be coming to Bowness. You need to scan a QR code to get the instructions on how to operate the ovensmicrowave. A lovely short break, despite the weather. I rated comfort as a 4 out of 5 as the luxury leather sofa is quite low for those of us with dodgy hips as are the two smaller chairs. Would certainly recommend.
