Wonderful house, very comfortable and homely. Beautifully decorated and wellequipped. Farreaching views to Lake Windermere and walking distance to the town centre, therefore close to all amenities. Highly recommended.

Fantastic property. Superb. We loved the house, the ensuite bathrooms, the grounds, the play area and the piano. Judith was a lovely host, so attentive, so professional. Would love to visit it again.

We love this property and keep returning and everytime no disappointments. The property is so homely, well equipped with all essentials and items that make your holiday easy. Easy accesable for everything, walking distance into Windermere and Bowness is about 40 mins walk but theres a bus at the end of the drive to take you to so many places.

Beautiful house that has been sympathetically modernised to a very high standard. The Grange is very close to Windermere which has some great cafes, pubs and restaurants. The view from the house is stunning as is the garden, listen out for the owl at night which is nesting in the trees at the back. Judith the owner is very attentive and gave us a lot of information on things to do locally. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is so peaceful and beautiful. Plenty of great vibes and super comfortable in every way!

This is a very beautiful, warm, and clean house. The host has prepared a full range of facilities, and all the facilities are available. The house is close to many tourist attractions and very convenient. If I had to make a suggestion, I think a charging station would be even better. Overall, we had a very happy stay here.

We've been visiting The Grange for around ten years, and it never disappoints. The house is perfectly located, close enough to Windermere for convenience, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Excellently maintained and equipped, the owners always have a surprise for us with the work that they've done to improve it from year to year. It's very much our happy place!

The Grange was absolutely perfect the position just five minutes walk into Windermere and a bus stop at the top of the drive. The views were breathtaking! We had an amazing family holiday couldnt fault it.

A very grand and beautiful house just minutes walk from central Windermere village. Decoration, furnishings and equipment all great. Would be great for one family with older children or 2 small families. Each bedroom has its own en suite with underfloor heated tiled floors. Views from the front just gorgeous with glimpses of the lake but the beautiful trees with the mountains in thd background just lovely. House is so quiet and peaceful. There is even a piano for anyone musical and a games room in the basement with Wii system.

This was an exceptionally spectacular property in a prime location for visiting all the local attractions. The house was pristine on our arrival, was well equipped and benefits from a wonderful garden, in which we had a large variety of local wildlife visitors birds and deer. The propertys location affords picturesque views of the lake and surrounding hills. Judith was very helpful in providing local information. An amazing property in an amazing location and we will definitely be looking to stay at The Grange again.

The Grange was a great place for our group of friends as each of the three couples had a private ensuite space but the common areas allowed for comfortable socializing. The house is close to the bus line but also really quiet, and the outdoor garden was wonderful. We loved our week there!

Absolutely first class property. It was a pleasure to be able to stay in such a delightful Victorian property. The views over the garden were perfect and will live in my memories forever.

This is a Beautiful property to stay in, we have stayed there on a number of occasions now, and would highly recommend it, beautiful views, very clean and comfortable, warm and cozy, look forward to returning.

This is our third time staying at the Grange over the last 11 years. It's a marvellous property, just a 6 minute walk to the Windermere high street and maybe a 2530 minute walk down to Bowness on Windermere. We happened to be there just after a redecoration, so everything was pristine. The central heating has two Nestcontrolled zones to keep the house warm, and there was a lovely gas fire in the living room. There was plenty of room for our party of 7 people over the three bedrooms. The top floor bedroom has a queen and a single, but the single is tucked away in a corner, so it was perfect for our 12 year old. The kitchen was very well appointed, and there was plenty of private parking for our two cars. I will be staying here again in the future.

It was an absolute fantastic stay! The house is beautiful and everything is very well looked after and maintained. The house has such a warm and cozy feeling to it! The garden and the view to the lake a gorgeous! We loved every minute in the house and hope to be back in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful house. Our 4 children were thrilled with the games room and our 2 youngest thoroughly enjoyed having a spacious garden to roam. The house was so warm and comfortable thank you for a really lovely break.

Wow! Where do I start? Judith and Tim were amazing. Lots of tips of where to visit, which we took full advantage of. We had a fantastic stay at the Grange. A deceptively large property with little surprises around every corner. Our kids really enjoyed the games room in the basement. Our expectations were exceeded. The house and garden were immaculate. We were very close to the lake and town centre, which was also a bonus just a short walk. The only criticism, is the distance you are from our house in Wiltshire. If you could move everything a little closer, we could spend more time at the Grange.

Shipmen property within easy access of Lake Windermere and Bowness. We enjoyed a very comfortable week with plenty to keep the children entertained 9, 7 and 4. We will be back!

Lovely large property for 3 couples. Loads to do in the immediate area. Great walking from the door. It would have helped if the kitchen was less cluttered, providing more surfaces to work on. Also a nest of tables in the living room would be helpful. So marked down slightly for these. But we all had a great time.

Beautifully presented period house with large rooms which meant we all had plenty of space. Set in a lovely large gardens with some views over the lake and parking for several cars. It is in a very quiet location yet only 10 minutes walk from Windermere, so very convenient. We loved it and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a comfortable, stress free holiday.

Another wonderful stay at The Grange. The Location, The views The property is well presented and has everthing is there at your holiday accomodation to enjoy that home from home experience. We didn't have a car but it in walking distance to Windermere one of our party wasn't great walking and she found it easy but it is also near to a bus stop to explore surrounding areas and the bus service very reliable. This accomodation is excellent and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Excellent stay at The Grange last week. Very cool house in high outside temperatures. Very clean and exactly what we were expecting. Had one small problem with a tap which Sykes sorted out promptly and fixed within a couple of hours. Will have no hesitation in staying again.

The Grange was an amazing house. Very comfortable and in an amazing setting with everything you could need and more. Nice walk into Windermere and further to other villages. Great bus service at end of drive if you dont feel like walking. I have already recommended it to friends and family and would definitely book this house again.

We had a lovely stay at The Grange. We arranged the break for my mum and dad as they never get away and dad has an illness, and they enjoyed it very much. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable and the location was great. The owners which we met on arrival were also lovely and helpful. We have a 20 month old daughter and she loved having the space to run around and playing ball in the garden. The games room in the basement needs updating, the table is too oldworn to be played on, but we didn't book the house for that purpose so wasn't a problem for us. Would highly recommend a stay here! Fantastic space with lovely views.
