Really pleased with our stay Pheasants Nest, the lodge was in a lovely location with great views, access to the park and lodge was easy. Upon entering the lodge was lovely tidy ,clean and very well equipped not that we went for cooking but if you do everything is provided for. The decking was lovely with plant pots and bamboo the dogs loved walking around and chuffing at the sheep. Excellent size for four guests so even better just for us. Only quibble is the patio door needs adjusting as it catches on open and closing I read this was also a problem in previous review also in a previous view the patio window hadn't been wiped as there was dog stuff marks on it which we cleaned off our selves. Overall excellent weekend and would highly recommend.

We have stayed at this lodge several times. This time however we found dust and hair behind the main bathroom door together with grubby sealent around both shower trays. No covers on the pillows which when we removed the pillowcases as required we found stained pillows in the main bedroom.Tired furniture and stained kitchen sink.Dirty patio door windowswhich I cleaned myself.Lovely break but disappointing level of cleanliness on this occasion
Generally a lovely lodge, it was very well equipped for self catering and the lounge well appointed to give a cosy feel. Generally a lovely lodge although as other guests have said, the master bedroom bed was not comfortable. It may have been firm when purchased but now has become uneven with dips either side a firm area down the middle. The patio door does need some attention as the frame is sticky to openshut.

Pheasants Nest lodge is immaculate. Couldnt fault anything. Well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. A credit to the owners.
Apart from the cleaner forgetting to give a thorough cleaning through out the lodge,l found the owner did very well in organising an emergency cleaner to come and get the job done. We would like to thank the cleaner who came for doing such a good job.For the rest of the week,we enjoyed our stay at Pheasants Nest. And we were very comfortable there.Would definitely use the lodge again.

An absolute gem of a lodge! We've stayed at Limefitt several times, and this has been the most comfortable and well equipped lodge so far. Really comfortable lounge and beds. Kitchen had everything we needed. Super clean. Great to have two showers toilets as well. Limefitt is a lovely park, the adventure playground and pub are both lovely. We also got takeaway from the pub one evening which was good quality and reasonably priced. It's a smaller menu for takeaway than for eating at the pub itself. There's also a small shop onsite for essentials and icecreams! We would definitely return, many thanks!
Beautiful lodge. Has everything. The sheep even walk by and an ocassional deer. TBH I couldn't fault it. Loads to do in the area also. Thanks you for a lovely stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable & homely lodge. This roomy lodge provides everything you & your dogs need for a relaxing stay in this beautiful lakes valley. The decking area is roomy with fantastic views over the Troutbeck Valley. We are regularly visitors to Limefitt Park & will most definitely be booking to stay again at Pheasants Nest. Thank you.
Lovely clean lodge. WiFi bit iffy. But not a problem. Lovely stay shame about weather.
Lodge is clean and spacious, very comfortable beds, extremely well equipped kitchen. Great enclosed deck with amazing views across the hills. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely break, lodge immaculate with everything you need. Very cosy on cold winter nights. Great location for the surrounding areas.
A lovely property, which contributed greatly to a wonderful stay in the Lake District.
Absolutely beautiful lodge. Well equipped just to let people know there is a washer dryer there which isn't listed . Lovely decking area with fantastic view Lovely walk at the back of the Haybarn pub .Lodge was spotless wifi was fine if using parkdeans not a problem for us would highly recommend this lodge and a big thank you to the owners

A wonderful stay at Pheasants again. Clean and welcoming on arrival as always.Good quality linen and towels and a great comfortable mattress on the big bed.Well equiped with great views. We will always return to the bolt hole that is Pheasants Nest. The only slight downfall for us simply because we are old is the settee is very low and is difficult to get out of but apart from that,PERFECT!

We have stayed on this site 4 times previously so know the area quite well. Have to say this lodge has been one of the best we have visited, I would recommend a stay here , So thanks to Jenny & Gerry owners for allowing us to stay Pheasants Rest !! Regards Andy. Thanks Jenny & Gerry
This is so nice and spacious, great views . The bedrooms are a good size and the walk in wardrobe is great. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Would stay again
Enjoyable break again. Couple of Just on Coupleof things 1.The portable fire extinguisher needs to be removed from the cabin immediately as it is dangerous and could cause harm if used. It has not been serviced since 2018, should be annually serviced. It has therefore not had its 5 year discharge and refill service. In addition Powder extinguishers should not be used in a confined spaces. 2. A DVD player is advertised in the cabin, there isn't one.
We had a lovely time at Pheasants Nest. The scenery is stunning and there are plenty of local walks. The lodge is well maintained and is a great place to relax and watch the scenery change. We would definitely recommend this lovely lodge as a base to explore the Lake District.

We have stayed at Limefitt many times but this lodge was our favourite the situation the layout there was nothing we were short of . We would highly recommend and cant wait to return
A lovely lodge, very comfortable. Our family were also on the site so we could get together with plenty of room to share meals etc. There was just one drawback which doesn't seem much, but we have stayed at Limefitt before and we know that most lodges only provide Freeview so we always take dvds to watch. Unfortunately the dvd player had no connection to the TV, there was WiFi but no connection for 4 days. More local information would have been helpful too.

A lovely clean well equipped lodge in a quiet area of the park! The beds are not comfortable but I suppose its a preference perhaps a thicker mattress in the main room is required? Other than that it was home from home and much more reasonably priced than some of the other lodges available! Would love to stay again on my list for next year for sure! Thank you!
Rebecca
Great stay, the lodge was really well equipped. Would love to go back when the weather is a bit warmer to be able to sit out on the decking. The site was lovely and peaceful and in a great location for visiting different areas.
Daniel
Absolutely fantastic stay! The lodge was very clean and looked like no one had stayed there before which is a real credit! The heating was excellent and warm and the shower was great! The wifi in the lodge was not working but we were able to get on the parks wifi so it was fine. Also the key fob for the barrier was not working but I just rang the buzzer and it was opened for us so again no issues! Would 100 come back again!

A lovely place to stay. It was clean, warm and comfortable and was well equipped with everything we needed. Excellent location. Haybarn Inn was an extra bonus.

Second time staying at Pheasants Nest and it didnt disappoint. Lodge lovely, comfortable, spacious and immaculate. Had all the facilities needed, will definitely stay again.
An amazing lodge with absolutely everything you need for your stay. We have stayed in multiple lodges over the years and Pheasant Nest is now our favourite. So homely, warm and cosy with great views. We will definitely be booking again very soon and thank the owners for making such an effort to make this their lodge a wonderful experience.

Beautiful well equipped holiday property. Felt like home. We have just returned from a weeks stay. Lovely site and lodge. The lodge was well equipped with every thing you need. Very homely feel. Loved every minute of it. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Will be back.
Fabulous lodge, really comfortable and cosy in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed our stay. Family and dog friendly. Lodge had everything you needed in it. Ideal base for touring the lakes.
We had a great few days at Pheasants Nest. The lodge was very clean, light and airy, and exceptionally well equipped. We slept very well in the comfy bed and the shower in the en suite bathroom was good. We didn't use the main bathroom as there was just the two of us. The large veranda was very enjoyable with loads of seating and we could relax knowing it was secure so the dog couldn't escape! The site was good too, with a dog walking area and pleasant pub, and within easy walking distance of a couple of excellent places to eat. All in all 10 out of 10 and we hope to return later in the year.
Lovely, comfortable, clean lodge with everything you need. Ideally located for walking and near to a couple of pubs serving great food.

Everything that you need for a relaxing break. Excellent facilities for a family and their dog! Beautiful view across the hillside and close to a dog friendly area. The lodge is immaculate throughout and having two bathrooms was brilliant for my kids as they enjoyed having one of their own. Bed was very comfortable, slept very well each night. Would definitely book on a return visit. Thank you!!
