Very comfortable and wellappointed cottage in a great location. Friendly support from the owners. Great to be able to do walks from the house as well as plenty of other options nearby. Two pubs within walking distance and great cakes at The Old Post Office!

A wonderful cottage, beautifully appointed in a fabulous location. Lots of thoughtful touches, a wellequipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The owner was very helpful emailing us to let us know the whereabouts of snow shovels and grit when the forecast was for snow. There are great walks straight from the cottage, and two pubs nearby. We'd love to come back again!

We had a lovely time at the cottage. Pleased with all the facilities and everything was provided to make our stay very comfortable.

The property was excellent and we found it to be accurately described. No issues with the property at all. Sykes need to up their game general communication is terrible. People don't want to wait 45 minutes on the phone to request a minor amendment to their booking. No access details received had to ring twice on the day before they were sent through.

Impeccable presentation of this beautiful cottage. Immaculate throughout and spotless. Quiet location but easy to reach the main towns. A real gem .

Very well stocked cottage eg cleaning products, cleaning pack, cling film, spare batteries. Welcome gifts were great. Perhaps need frosted glass in bathroom window especially when apple loft completed. Cottage nice and close to the old post office which serves amazing coffee etc and the pub. Stunning scenery.

The cottage was very cosy, comfortable and peaceful. We had everything we needed and will certainly be back in this beautiful part of our country!

Arrived to find everything that we needed. Cottage situated in a lovely location, fairly central to places to visit in the Lake District areas. Comfortable bed, sofa, dining tablechairs, with all the kitchen equipment for a good weeks stay. Great shower and bathroom facilities.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location which is perfect for exploring the area with lots of walks from the door. The cottage was warm and very clean for our arrival with lots of extra touches which made it very welcoming. Highly recommended.

First rate accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Modern appliances and warm central heating. Bathroom seems newly refurbished too. Situated in a quiet village located at the heart of WindermereUllswater country.

We had the best time celebrating my wifes 30th Birthday and couldnt have asked for a nicer cottage to stay in. It was very homely, clean and the location was beautiful. We only wish we could have stayed for longer. Thanks

Excellent property, loved that they have kept as much original features and history of this old cottage, but have added lovely new modern features to make it warm and comfortable. Very clean and felt at home here immediately.

Lovely cottage however I wouldnt recommend because the administrative support around the rental was so poor. Replies to our requests for the key code never came, or came long after our booking was supposed to have started. After a long time on the phone we managed to get the key code. Considering that it is January and there cant be many other customers I would hate to see how bad things were in peak season. A snow shovel is a random item that would have made a huge difference. There is a slight incline to the drive and we had to dig out the snow and grit it so we could confidently drive off. Not something I would have thought of before this experience, but seems like they get a bit of snow fairly regularly in the winter so might be good to keep by.
