First impressions dont do it justice, as the interior is very good. Its comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The views are amazing, and the location couldnt be better for the town. Communication with Gary was spot on, and we even received a welcome gift, which was a lovely touch. Parking was also good, which was an added bonus. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Mere View has everything you could want for a break in the Lakes, perfect positioning in town, good access to all the local attractions but still in a quiet area. Lovely views across the lake and fells, off road parking is good and a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of local restaurants, pubs and cafes can be found within walking distance. All in all the perfect Lake district retreat.

Another great stay at mere view we love this property as it is so close to the shops and restaurants in bowness just a 5 minute walk from the property. The living area upstairs is just a wow when you see those beautiful views of the lake and the mountains amazing only one negative the mattress protector on the un suites bedroom upstairs is really stained and needs replacing. We have booked mere view again next year as we love the property and its position so much.

This property has SO many benefits! It really is home from home and location is superb, a 10 minute walk from the busy centre but just far enough out to be peaceful. The house is beautifully decorated it is very clear that much love has been put into this & the experience the owners would like guests to have. The views from the balcony are superb, the sky changing from moment to moment. We were lucky enough to see any jets fly by whilst sitting there. The beds are comfortable, the showers powerful & the towels are big & soft. We were grateful for the ground floor lounge in the heat. Little things like the Alexas and the multipoint chargers by the beds were appreciated. The builders are next door, however, they were very considerate and communicative at all times. We will highly recommend Mere View to our friends and family!

The holiday home was very comfortable. Perfect for a family holiday. The balcony was lovely and the short walk into town was just right. On a side note, we were disappointed the neighbours were having work done on the house next door, which was noisy at times. The neighbours scaffolding also overlooked one of our main bedrooms which wasnt ideal. While I guess this could not be helped, I would prefer to be notified of the neighbours work ahead of, allowing us to make an informed decision as to whether to go ahead with the booking or cancel.

An absolute gem of a place. Space for everyone with their own bathrooms. The complimentary toiletries were a lovely touch. 2nd ground floor living area a plus. The balcony furniture was comfortable and the views amazing. We had fantastic weather all week and made full use of the balcony. Garden was mature and well maintained. Bonus to have parking for 3 cars. Decorated to a high spec and felt like a real home. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Perfect location for a stroll to shops, restaurants and harbour. Both 1st floor bedrooms had black out blinds but the ground floor didnt. Any plans to put them in? It was clean enough for us but some areas needed attention. Blind in family bathroom very dusty and toilet brush holder dirty. Quite a lot of cobwebs all over the house. The oven needs attention too. The cleaners probably dont have a lot of time between lets but it could do with a deep clean. It really isnt a complaint but if I owned it Id want to know to get on top of it. Beautiful views and a lovely very well equiped house . However the house next door was being totally renovated and a new balcony was being fitted. So we had noise from eight in the morning through to late afternoon,our car was blocked in by the three trucks ,so we were unable to get out,so spent all our time at the house or walked down Boness. Real pity as it was a lovely warm and sunny week and such a lovely house with superb views.

Great stay at Mere view in the perfect position in the heart of Bowness just a 5 minute walk to the shops from the front door. Parking for 4 cars and the house over 3 floors with 3 good size bedrooms on the first 2 floors and on the 3rd floor the wow factor with large lounge and kitchen and a big wrap around balcony with stunning views of the lake and forest will definitely be booking again next year.

A remarkably well updated home, very quiet for us but also within minutes of all amenities. The wraparound balcony and beautiful views are a highlight, we would definitely think about this property on our next trip to Bowness. A welcome small detail over new year included a welcome pack. All in all, very comfortable and well thought through.

An absolutely stunning house with fabulous views of Lake Windermere and the mountains from the thirdstory lounge and balcony. The house was very well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. We dined in every night to take advantage of evening vista. There was plenty of off street car parking with the lake and amenities being a short 5 minute walk away. We enjoyed the beer and lovely atmosphere of the Hole Int Wall pub. We would deffinately stay again.

A fantastic holiday home. Literally just a couple of minutes walk to the heart of bustling Bowness but when youre in the house it feels as if you are miles away from habitation. The views from the main living area are fantastic and it lifted my heart every morning. Very comfortable beds as well. The only possible drawback is that, because of all the glass in the living area that gives access to the wonderful views, that room does get very warm when the sun is shining. If you dont want to use your car, from Bowness you can go to many places by boat or bus. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting a holiday in this area.

One of the best properties that we have stayed in. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The balcony was one one of the biggest we have seen, and we often all sat outside when it wasn't raining. Being so high up, from the balcony we could watch the jets flying past at almost the same level as us.

Mere view is a wow location and accommodation. The wrap around balcony is amazing as is the pamaramic views from the top floor. Everywhere is beautifully decorated and we loved all the beautiful art works and accessories. Tasteful, comfortable and beautiful. Everything has been thought of to make for an amazing stay. There is plenty of information provided of bowness and the surrounding area. We all would definitely come back and recommend. It was amazing and a big thank you.

Great place and the views are amazing daily changing landscape with the weather. Had it not rained most days wed have definitely made good use of the balcony. Excellent location for everything in Bowness and the house is very well equipped with everything you might need.

WIFI was unavailable for the first couple of days and bath plug did not retain water in the bath. The steps down to the car parking area where very slippy. Not an issue but more of a concern.

Absolutely lovey accommodation, fitted with highend furniture and fittings as well as delightful artwork. More than adequate space throughout the house and parking for 2 cars. The location is perfect to walk into Bowness to get groceries, food and see the location attractions.
