This apartment is absolutely stunning and perfectly situated in Windermere. The views from every window are simply divine, which is one of the reasons we keep returning. It is a beautiful, highend property and we genuinely love staying here. However, as previous guests have also mentioned, there are a few points that unfortunately let the property down, and despite making the owners aware of these issues, they still havent been rectified. The main concern is the lounge window, where water is still coming through when it rains. We have had to place towels along the windowsill to soak up the water to prevent any potential damage to the property. The toilet cistern is also dripping and gurgling and appears to need attention. I appreciate that this is a selfcatering holiday apartment, but given that it is marketed as a highend property, I feel a few basic touches would make a big difference. On arrival, there was only one toilet roll and no tea, coffee or milk. We have stayed in other Sykes holiday properties where these little essentials have been provided as a welcome, and it really does make the start of a stay feel much nicer. There is also no fan provided, which makes it difficult to cool the apartment when it gets warm. In addition, the hoover cannot currently be used because there is no lead available to charge it. We absolutely love this apartment and its location, which is why we continue to return. We would just really like to see these issues addressed, as they are small things that could make such a difference to an otherwise exceptional property and help maintain the high standard expected from a highend holiday accommodation.

This was our first visit to Hygge at Number 8 and it definitely wont be our last ! The apartment is stunning and the views are amazing. Its a great location very close to Windermere but so quiet and relaxing. The bed is very comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed for a short break.

This was our third visit to this beautiful apartment. We absolutely love this property. The weather was fabulous this time, last year we had rain then more rain and rain on top of that rain!

We had a lovely week at No8. The apparent was really clean and well equipped,withe everything you need. Beautiful views lovely surroundings. Only a couple of minor issues. The quilt cover was way too big for the quilt, which resulted in getting tangled in cover while the quilt was bunched up inside. Also we couldn't get any TV channels nor WiFi channels, so we just streame through our phones. All in all it didn't take away from having a lovely week. We Would recommend No8.

A perfect location to hide away and yet be near enough to everything we needed in order to explore the beautiful Lake District. Nice to come home to and the accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We're already looking to re booking next year !

Our 2nd visit to Hygge. It's a superb apartment with lovely views. Very recommendable accommodation. Can't fault it. A quiet narrow lane leading up to it but only a mile from Windermere railway station. Nice walks nearby and good bus service into the Lakes from the station. Plenty of supermarketsshops restaurants available nearby. Excellent.
