Another great Christmas stay at Hygge. The apartment is always presented well everything clean and tidy and the views from all the windows are spectacular beautiful countryside amazing and great country walks up lovely country lanes you can walk for miles brilliant and a short walk to Windermere would like to thank the owners for the lovely Christmas decorations have already booked this apartment for my stay next Christmas overall a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay as the accommodation felt special without being too expensive. The hall is in a stunning and convenient location and views from the apartment were farreaching and unspoilt. The apartment is wellappointed and warm with plenty of hot water when we needed it. It is spacious but cosy the bedroom has plenty of storage, the kitchen is wellequipped and the sitting room is comfortable.

Great location, close enough to Windermere in a quiet countryside location. Second booking for us as we liked the high standard of the flat and fittings. A bit disappointed this time by the amount of black mold in the shower which we had to try and clean before use.

This is a lovely place to stay both in terms of location peaceful and comfort.

The apartment was well furnished to a high standard & clean. We arrived in the middle of Storm Amy after a horrendous 6 hour drive and was slightly disappointed to find no welcome pack other than a cleaning pack. Even a pint of milk and a few teabags would have been appreciated as other visitors have commented. We have booked numerous holidays over the years, several since lockdown and this is the first time there was nothing. The 1 toilet roll and inadequate heating and hot water just smacked slightly of meanness . It is a fabulous apartment in a lovely old house but we wouldnt book it again.

Our second stay at Hygge at No. 8. It is the perfect property to relax in and explore the Lakes. It had everything we needed and we loved it again. It was unfortunate timing that repairs were being done to the roof during our visit and the communication from Sykes could have been better as to how this may affect our stay. Luckily there were no interruptions from the workmen. It was just a shame that the fantastic views were obstructed by scaffolding from every window. Despite this we would highly recommend the property and would absolutely consider another stay.

This is our second time staying at Hygee No 8 and despite scaffolding ot didn't disappoint. Perfectly placed for windermere walks and 5 mins from train station. Peaceful and calming and lovely stay so much so booked up to return next year.

An immaculate property. We had difficulty opening the door with the key. Information about swiping the key would've been useful!!!! The weather was very bad but the warm cosy apartment was so lovely to return to after a day in the Lakes. Very recommendable. Thankyou to the owners and cleaners.

This was our second stay at this beautiful apartment. Home and so miss it already. Apartment absolutely spotless, cosy and well, just perfect. Visited daily, sometimes couple of times, by two Deer and the rabbits. It was wonderful sitting in the lounge looking out at Orrest Head, along with looking out from the bed in the morning. So very quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home. X

A lively place to stay, great views and very comfortable. We were impressed as soon as we walked in the door. We think the toilet cistern is overflowing as there is a continuous dribble of water into the bowl. I would have liked one or two more saucepans.

Another good weather week at this very nice apartment, apart from a number of unexpected events , as follows 1 We arrived at approx 4. 30pm on Saturday 11th Jan to find that a The Lounge area was very cold as was the radiator showing 14.0 degrees and b there was No hot water. 2 We managed to increase the room temperature by pressing the button but this was temporary as next day the temp could not be increased and the area remained very cold. The Hot water was obtained by using the Boost setting, as instructed in info book, until we realised that it had been set to 'Off' when we arrived. We reset the timer correctly. 3 My wife reported the lack of warmth from the radiator to Sykes at Chester on Sunday morning 12th Jan but we could not reset and nothing happened that day and so we phoned again on Monday morning. A Maintenance Team with owners consent came early pm but could not reset radiator temps or timings as required. Another call to Gabrielle in Property Maintenance next morning brought another visit from Maintenance we were out and this time the radiators worked ok.Good for the following weeks guests no doubt. 4 Surely, this amount of hassle for paying guests should not impact on a holiday as this. So much time spent on phone calls, messages, organisation etc. 5 Thanks to Gabrielle from Sykes Property Services Team for persisting in sorting out the problem but doubts about cost cutting persist one toilet roll now for instance in a Gold Standard Property. Lovely first floor flat near to Windermere with allocated parking. High quality bathroom and kitchen. Clean and furnished to a high standard. Booked again for 2025.

Weve just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful accommodation. It was so luxurious throughout and spotlessly clean. It was decorated and furnished beautifully and so very cosy. We were very impressed with everything about the apartment from the sumptuous furnishings to the excellently equipped kitchen to the fab surround sound system. The wonderfully comfy bed meant we had a wonderful night sleep every night. What a great place to stay, the owners really have thought of everything you could possibly need and it was a joy to stay here. We look forward to staying here again in the near future. Well situated beautiful apartment.

When I arrived, the apartment was spotless. The owners have thought of everything even providing water bottles for usage, discreetly, labeling, switches, and controls. The views were wonderful across to the Langdales. I will most certainly book this property again.

A lovely, wellappointed property in a beautiful location with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the property was let down by having a preset heating system which could not be adjusted, leaving us feeling cold in the evenings and mornings. Geoff

Perfect location to explore the Lakes. Not far to walk into Windermere. Very well appointed property. You could easily live there permanently. Views from the many windows were excellent. No real negatives. It was a shame that the vacuum hadn't been emptied and that certain items in the kitchen hadn't been washed up properly, despite a good dishwasher being present. Really comfy bed. However, the duvet cover and mattress protector were marked. Although both were clean. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thanks.

Just to mention the Extractor Fans in the Bathroom and Kitchen did not appear to be working. The microwave makes a dreadful highpitched screeching noise when operating.

This is a lovely apartment in a convenient location. This was our 3rd visit and we have already booked for next year.

Beautiful apartment, everything we needed and more. Comfy sofa and bed. Plenty of storage space for clothes and food. Gorgeous location, shame the weather didnt let us explore the grounds. Easy reach to the towns of Bowness and Windermere by car. Bit difficult to walk especially down the very narrow lane.

Our first visit to the Lakes and wow wow wow for a beautiful apartment. To wake up to the view each morning was just amazing. We slept so well every night in such a fantastic bed which was just sublime. It was so quiet and peaceful. We were lucky enough to see the deer, bunnies and squirrels each day. We even saw the jets which was truly amazing. The apartment was absolutely spotless and just so beautiful and we felt very special. The whole Manor was just amazing, very clean, well manicured gardens, and so quiet. We never ever heard anyone else! We would suggest a couple of things to make it even better, a summer quilt option, we took the quilt out and just used the duvet cover as, even with the windows open we were really hot a couple of nights, some pillow protectors and finally maybe a little welcome pack, maybe a cake,loaf of bread and some milk as we , as others also maybe, have driven a long way. Overall, we have had the best time ever and cannot thank you enough for allowing us to share your apartment and we cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you so so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Hygge No. 8 as we celebrated my dear husband's 80th birthday. From the moment we arrived we both felt totally 'at home.' Every possible need was catered for, the comfort and quality of furniture and fittings was absolutely top notch and as an incredible bonus the sun shone literally all week so we were able to fully appreciate the glorious views and wonderful sunsets! All in all a very memorable week. Thank you so much....

An excellent stay in a very comfortable apartment. The location was great for exploring the South Lakes.

We had a really lovely time here , everything was perfect until we had no hot ... We had a really lovely time here , everything was perfect until we had no hot water , ruined our last night of our holiday , we couldnt go out for our dinner reservation , not what you expect of a gold award property , we have been home 6 days and still havent heard an explanation as to why it happened , not good at all

We loved the luxurious apartment and location. And will definitely be back later in the year. Highly recommend.

The apartment exceeded our expectations and was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. Very spacious in a great complex. Each apartment is discreet and check in and check out was communicated very well. The facilities within were very good this really did feel home for home!

O 8 this is my second stay at this apartment and what a lovely quality furniture and fitting everything was clean and tidy when I arrived and the Christmas tree and decorations where a lovely touch thank you for a wonderful holiday its so peaceful and quiet and on a nice day there are beautiful walks in the countryside that surrounds the property.will definitely be booking to come back again kind regards Gary.

Hyggge at No. 8 is such a lovely place. This is the first time we've stayed in an apartment and loved every minute. The location is ideal for walkers and holiday makers with windermere being a short walk from the doorstep. The apartment itself is beautiful giving you the feeling of luxury. We fully enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking here again

Beautiful and peaceful location well situated for exploring the lakes. Apartment was very modern and spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a great holiday.

Lovely property, so quiet watched the deers in the field, easy parking, cosy and comfortable . Only point to note was that there were no pillow protectors and perhaps at end of season shower needs re grouting...small points on a fab stay x
