We had a lovely week at Horseshoe Lodge. The lodge is in a great position with fantastic view over the hills and in the afternoons the sun was lovely on the patio area. The seating in the lodge was very comfortable and plenty of room for 6 people. The bedrooms had plenty of wardrobes. There was parking for two vehicles. We would visit the lodge again
Alison
The horse shoe lodge offered spacious accommodation, with all the home comforts that you could want. The view from the decking was stunning, we managed to see plenty of wildlife on the hills including deers. I'd recommend Limefitt Park if you are looking for a quieter site with fantastic local walks.
This is a Lovley lodge with stunning views Great place to relax with excellent walks on your doorstep
Horseshoe lodge was the perfect stay for us with friends. It was spacious, clean, a great location and had everything we could have needed for a great week in the Lakes. We are already looking to book again.
Pullup nob on bathshower bar needs attn.
The lodge was a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back and stay again. Location was perfect as everything was close by and the shop on site was also really ideal. We took two cars and both were parked up outside the lodge with ample space. The lodge itself had evening we needed for a relaxing stay. The only criticism I would give were the number of spiders that were there due to cobwebs but didnt bother any of us that stayed there as no phobias. When we return to the Lake District we would not think twice about staying here again. The views were also beautiful from the livingkitchen windows .

We had a wonderful stay at Horseshoe lodge. We can highly recommend it. Many thanks and best wishes, Cecilia
We have stayed at Limefitt Park for holidays and short stays for over 25 years. We can say that this lodge is by far the best lodge we have stayed in over during that time. We will certainly be looking to stay again in the very near future.
Beautiful lodge, well furnished and well looked after. Good quality bedding etc, one of the best weve stayed in The only downside for us was the tv maybe being picky unless we couldnt get it to work properly but not enough channels, couldnt connect to internet to get other channels so really struggled on an evening Other than that it was a clean comfortable lodge with high quality furnishings, stunning views and the sunbeds are a nice touch.!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this lodge, it was spacious and had a lovely living area and dining area. The outdoors was nicely equipped for the hot weather and the view was great. The guide of things to do was very helpful as it was our first time at the Lake District. I would recommend staying here at this lodge as our stay was very pleasant.

The lodge turned out to be better looking than the pictures which was a pleasant surprise, and as mentioned in other reviews, the views from the decking area outside were just amazing! Only advice I would give would be to attach hooks on bathroom door for towels or a towel rail and coat hooks above the shoe rack. No option to hand wet coats as you enter the lodge. Otherwise no complaints at all.

A lovely lodge in a great spot on Limefitt Park. The location of Limefitt within the Lake District is perfect, with stunning views. The lodge itself is clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay here again. I would recommend a few improvements which would make a huge difference, in my opinion. More hooks! There isnt anywhere to hang coats up, which is absolutely necessary when you get caught in the Cumbrian rain. And some hooks in the bathrooms would help with towels etc. The carpet and internal doors could do with being updated, as they are starting to feel a bit tired and dated. We also werent sure if the washing machine worked or not.? We couldnt figure it out, but that might just be us
The property was nice enough the decking area being the best think about it. It unfortunately turned wet and chilly at the beginning of our stay, the only form of heating was an electric fire that didn't let out mu h heat and the bedrooms where cold. No room in kitchen to put stuff when staying for a week and no Internet.
Lovely well equipped lodge, with stunning views, in a really quiet location. Would definitely recommend.
Been to visit horseshoe lodge 3 times now, absolutely love it. Sure to return another year, our go to place in the Lake District! Fabulous.

One word AMAZING! Better than expected. Looks much better than in a photos. Very clean and spacious lodge, has all amenities and facilities. Perfect for family holidays. Views are magnificent! Definitely highly recommended.

Lodge was exactly as described, well presented, clean, comfortable and homely. We had a lovely stay.
The lodge was very good. Layout was good. The views from the balcony were exceptional. There was an issue with obtaining a consistent supply of hot water in the en suite, both shower and basin. Kitchen equipment lacked certain items for example a sufficient number of saucepans. The cooker does not allow you to use the grill and oven at the same time. Otherwise excellent holiday accommodation.

Lovely lodge in a perfect setting
This property was exactly as described in the listings and the views were absolutely stunning. The property itself was a great size and was spotlessly clean. On arrival all beds had been made up with handbath towels left on each bed which was a great touch. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensilpotspans you would ever need and the dishwasher is a god send. The few very small negative points I would feedback are En suite shower could use a nonslip mat as my elderly mother slipped TV was very poor with very few channels, maybe let people know this No kitchen cupboard space for food WiFi is very poor and this along with zero TV channels is a bit frustrating with kids so would suggest downloading movies etc. before arrival All in all we had a great break away and the positives to this property far outweighed these small negatives . If we return to this area we would definitely look to book this property again.
The property is of a high standard and is comfortable it is worth investing your holiday money in it.
We absolutely loved it! ! Great site and brilliant lodge with everything we could possibly need for us and the kids. Top marks all round. Just had to mark the cleanliness down a bit because of some pots and glasses that looked like they'd been through dishwasher but were still dirty, some rubbish behindunder beds and in a drawer, and the outside table hadn't been wiped down but apart from that, really clean and tidy. Brilliant wee holiday and 4 days just wasn't enough. First time to Lakes and we'll definitely be back, and hopefully to Horseshoe Lodge. Ps for owners think the bulb in the extractor hood needs replacing, and temperature control on shower seemed to be stuck on 38 ?

We had an absolute wonderful time, and the view was absolutely amazing. Didnt want to leave what an amazing week
Brilliant stay, good clean lodge and can't fault anything. The only things which I think could benefit the site overall is maybe a bigger store or abit more range and maybe a lunchtime time slot at the pub as it only opened 6pm. However everything was great. Thank you.
Holiday park itself very well maintained. Chalet clean and spacious. Downsides? Mentioned to the reception staff that the cupboards were so full of pans, crockery etc, there was no room for the shopping we had 3 of us staying for a week. Also, internet variable and weak at times. Other than that, no complaints
Amazing lodge, very clean and welcoming. Limefitt Park is such a lovely site, with little bunnies and sheep coming to see us often! We had such good weather too, which meant a wonderful holiday with many memories! Price was 1000 which I thought was just about reasonable, however the same week next year is 2600. Sykes, you have to kidding?! Might go abroad next year, as I believe the Italian lakes are cheaper than the UK! Shame you've let yourself down like this. For this reason, I will go private in future and not use Sykes.

Apart from bathroom all other aspects were perfect. Lovely place to stay. Fully furnished and recommended.

The holiday was perfect in every way, even the weather. The down side is that when we returned home we went to book again for 2022, which we always do, only to find out the price of the holiday had more than doubled ! Sadly at well over 2000 this was out of our reach. This is the only reason I would not recommend Sykes Holidays.
Lodge was good. Great had two parking spaces. Decking large and comfortable. Would use again, On,y negative ... could have been a bit cleaner. Blinds and display bowl not clean.
Louise
Lovely stay at Horseshoe Lodge. Peace and quiet was what we needed and definitely what we got. We cant wait for our next visit
Our stay was very pleasant. Nice location and lodge, which was clean and cosy. Great views, particularly from the front of the lodge. Would recommend it. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Beautiful lodge, could not fault at all. Very clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. Has everything you need for a peaceful break. Very tranquil site with lovely walks close by. Definitely recommend and will certainty book again. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Impossible to single anything out as everything was perfect. What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Lovely circular walk which starts behind the pub on the site has a gentle climb and well worth it for the views, bonus being able to leave the car.
We had a lovely time at the lodge although a few things were not quite the same due to covid 19. We arrived the first weekend after and could only enter at 4 Friday afternoon but then had to be out by 10 on Tuesday. The lodge was in a fantastic location on the park but was just missing the books and games etc that we usually use while there. Again this could not be helped due to covid. The restaurant and bar area tried as best they could with the new restrictions but you could still not book a meal in advance. All in all a good stay in a lovely lodge, but in difficult times. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location of lodge views What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? local walks
Had a short break in the Horseshoe Lodge, the weather was poor as it rained every day but this was proved irrelevant as the lodge was so cosy it was lovely just to relax. The lodge had various board games which whittled away the hours and the kitchen and facilities were fantastic so there was no need to venture out into the rain. We had a lovely time and would love to come again. The lodge itself is luxurious it is much bigger than the pictures on the website. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms are too. The lounge area was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. I would recommend the lodge to anyone and everyone!! What did you enjoy most about your stay? The lodge was fantastic What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? The pub restaurant was very nice with good food
Beautiful location and not far from all major sightseeing points within the Windermere region. The lodge is well maintained and provided the 'home from home' experience that we wanted. The lodge is lovingly furnished and provides additional unexpected features such as children's games and a range of DVD options for the whole family. The outdoor space is excellent and perfect for sitting out and enjoying the spectacular views. The onsite activities are great for young children park, zip wire etc. and it even has its own pub restaurant with scheduled entertainment most nights! We couldn't fault anything about the property and our only gripe is that we were only there for a long weekend.....we would thoroughly recommend and you will not be disappointed with what the lodge and the surrounding parkarea has to offer. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The lodge was extremely homely and furnished to a high standard. What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Our day at 'Hill Top' Beatrix Potter's cottage was a delight and a must do.

What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? St Patrick?s Boat Landing at Ullswater. Hire and boat and then relax with a lovely lunch looking over the Lake.
We had a wonderful week here it was just my 6 year old daugher and I, as unfortunately our friends had to cancel last minute, so we had the whole place to ourselves! We have stayed at Limefitt before, but this lodge was much nicer than our previous one. Despite it being February, the lodge was cosy and warm. The views from the main living area are a pleasure to wake up to in the mornings, the park is peaceful yet has a good pub and play area for children, and there is loads to do in the local area. We hope to return with more people in tow next time! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location and views What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Walkclimb up to the top of the hill behind the pub for stunning views over Lake Windermere
