Fellside cottage is ideally placed and within walking distance of all Bowness amenities. Being Autumn cold and a little wet it was not feasible to access the garden area and fallen leaves outside the front made it a little slippy. Inside was cosy but took a long time to heat up particularly downstairs with heat escaping out of the front door and up the stairway and there was a seemingly continuous noise from the bathroom extractor which was a little annoying. That aside the facilities in all areas were excellent particularly the kitchen.
This cottage was absolutely lovely and so close to the centre of Bowness though tucked away and private. Everything we needed was there and more!
We had a lovely few days away in this beautiful cottage. It has so much charm and character and was so cosy and inviting. Immaculately clean throughout and has everything you could possibly need. Everything had been so well thought out beautifully decorated, and the lovely little ornaments and decorations throughout were such a lovely touch. The dining area had a large selection of books and games such a lovely, thoughtful addition to this beautiful cottage. The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was lovely and powerful. The garden is beautiful, and I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in the summer to sit out and enjoy warm evenings. Location is fantastic, with the centre of Bowness being just a few minutes' walk away. What a wonderful place and a truly lovely gem of a holiday accommodation. We will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you so much!

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a brilliant location. Although on a busy road, we heard no traffic noise. We will definitely be booking to stay again
Lovely cottage with secluded garden in a very central location. Driveway to property is quite narrow and may not suit larger vehicles but manageable with care.
Lovely property stayed here last year as well, no welcome pack this year slightly disappointing but other than that all good.

First time staying in a 17th century cottage & what a lovely experience. Full of character & charm. So close to everything but due to the thickness of the walls it was so peaceful. Would fully recommend to anyone.

Really well positioned cottage, close enough to the town and facilities but set far enough back off the road that it's quiet. The drive is a little steep at the base but if you approach it so the entrance is on the right its much betterwe pulled in front of the cottage and reversed up the side to park. The cottage itself is very compact but comfy in the main though the trees do block a lot of light out so we needed the lights on most of the time. Instructions for all equipment but the hob was a bit tricky as all it said was it's electric, however when we first used it the heat kept going on and off so took a long time to get work it out. We didn't use the log burner as weren't always in long enough and having never used one before didn't feel confidentmaybe short instructions could be left. More free cupboard space would be nice, there was basically one shelf that was almost fully free which isn't much when staying for a week and the worktop space is limited so nowhere there to store food. The door out to the back garden is very stiff, took a long time to get the bolt down so we didn't bother again so maybe that could be looked at. We didn't mind some of the ornaments dotted about as adds to the homely feel however the ones on top of the drawers in the bedroom could be moved and maybe a nice mirror added as the plugs aren't near enough to the mirror above the fireplace so it can be tricky drying your hair and seeing what you're doing at the same time. Minor point would be to replace the cushions with non feather filled onesI'm allergic and can't have them near me and I'm sure I'm not the only one who suffers with this. Enjoyed the stay and good base for exploring the area, both by car and also bus or boat.

I booked the cottage for my husbands 50th birthday present. We have stayed in the area numerous times and the location of the cottage didnt disappoint! Great that you have parking as well. The cottage is compact but has everything that you need for your stay. The bed is super comfy and the fluffy towels an added bonus! Little touches like the hot water bottles, umbrellas and torch made it feel extra homely. Yes the shower isnt the best but the bath is great for a long soak after walking. I would have no hesitation to book the cottage again.
It was just as lovely as the first time we visited 7 years earlier, a lovely cottage presented beautifully

A gorgeous cottage, perfect for a peaceful cosy holiday in The Lakes. Very well equipped, immaculate and super comfy bed. Lovely to sit by the log burner on a stormy night! Everything you need on your doorstep but you wouldn't know it, it's so quiet.
Lovely cottage, decorated for Christmas which made it extra special!

Lovely cottage brilliant location everything we needed for a lovely break
The property was absolutely lovely, clean, private and very well maintained. It was in precisely the right location and the lively local pubs etc did not bother us at all. I have always been impressed with the Sykes standard of properties but this one was exceptional for sure.
Beautiful, quirky cottage in a fantastic location, minutes from Bowness centre. We liked the parking facility, our car never moved for a week! Lots of local buses very close by to access lots of places .The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with utensils etc. The welcome basket was a nice touch. Good WiFi access. One suggestion would be to change the wardrobe and drawers in the bedroom as some drawers were very stiff to open so we couldn't really use and the wardrobe very small, especially with a weeks' worth of clothing to store. All in all we had a lovely week and will be back again! Thank you
Lovely cottage in prime location, catered for everything, was able to go places that didnt take too long to get to. The owners go a long way to making your stay welcome & hassle free. Completely recommend A
The cottage was exactly as it appeared in the photos. It was lovely and we would highly recommend.
Beautiful cottage and fantastic location
Picturesque little cottage very close to BownessOnWindermere only a few minutes walk to shops, pubs, restaurants and the lake. Also has the advantage of an off road parking space which is a must for us. Extremely comfortable bed!!

When we chose Fellside cottage for our holiday this year we were looking for somewhere within walking distance of Bowness and the lake. This lovely little cottage ticked those boxes and so much more! On arrival we we found this hidden gem up a partially obscured driveway, you would never know it was less than five minutes walk from town when sitting in the small but perfectly maintained garden. The cottage itself has been beautifully decorated and equipped with every need. We loved staying there and hope to return, we would definitely recommend Fellside to anyone visiting the Lakes.

Lovely property, in a super position. However I do feel the back garden could do with spruce up.
Lovley cottage in nice quiet location and very accessible for shops and pubs Ect, we will definitely book again.
Lovely cottage in an excellent location, private yet close to all ammenites. Nice welcome pack. No need for a car as public transport is excellent.
I loved Fellside Cottage. I hadnt appreciated when I booked just how close it was to the lovely town of Bowness. It is the perfect location. The cottage is finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. We made full use of the wood burning stove as it was a chilly week so we were lovely and warm. The one thing I would say, although it didnt bother us at all, is perhaps the cottage description should mention that the driveway up to the cottage is very narrow and steep. Some larger cars may struggle to enter and also people with mobility issues might find the driveway challenging. We had a fabulous week in the Lakes and would definitely book Fellside Cottage again
We just thought Fellside Cottage was a lovely place to stay . It was clean comfortable & a lot of thought had been put into the presentation of the cottage .It was a great location to visit lots of the beautiful surrounding areas either by car bus or walking

The cottage was absolutely first class and a credit to the owners. Full of character and we were extremely comfortable for the week that we spent there. Loads of home comforts are provided and the welcome pack is a nice touch too. The location couldn't really be any better either and we will definitely be looking to return in future.

A fabulous cottage, perfect for a cosy week for 2. Quiet cottage but just a few minutes walk to central Bowness so perfectly located. Beautifully presented and everything you need provided in the cottage. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely return to this cottage!
It is a beautiful cottage in a prime location, we have stayed in the cottage next door and much prefer Fellside Cottage. Very well presented, the welcome pack was a lovely touch. We holiday in Bowness often and will definitely book Fellside Cottage again. Janet and Terry

The property, location and cleanliness were all amazing. The slight gripe was the water pressure to the shower I was smushed into the corner to try and get under the shower as the water pressure didnt allow it to shoot further. Other than that the amenities and everything about the cottage was great. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

So nice we are returning for the fourth year in a row
Absolutely brilliant. Perfect cottage in a perfect location. Very happy indeed!

It was lovely. The cottage was nice and the location was perfect, just a very short walk to the lake, with Restaurants and supermarket 2 minute walk away. However, we found it difficult to get downstairs living room warm. In the end, we used the fireplace and that was fine.
Lovely cottage comfortable, clean, everything we needed was provided for us, would highly recommend,
Superb cottage we loved our stay only problem was the bins were overflowing so ... Superb cottage we loved our stay only problem was the bins were overflowing so we couldn't dispose of our bag other than that it was super
Just returned from our 2nd stay at Fellside Cottage and again it didnt disappoint. The cottage is beautiful, in a fantastic location and the comfiest bed Ive slept in what is the mattress?! The cleanliness is spot on, props to whoever does the cleaning, its immaculate! Lovely gesture of a Christmas card, wine and chocs was provided on arrival by Sylvia, much appreciated. Sylvia goes above and beyond supplying all cleaning products, kitchen roll, toilet roll etc which is a great touch and not always provided with other rental properties. Well definitely be back for a 3rd visit.

A lovely cottage, in a great location, have stayed there many times in the past. Glad to see that the hot water problems have been sorted, however a bit chilly in the evenings.
Darren
This was an absolute gem Just tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town, everything was really well thought of a credit to the owners. The only thing was the heating it kept turning itself down on the manual setting so was abit chilly for July. So I I wish now Id have just lit the log burner but didnt seem right in July, Thats the Only thing. The area itself is spot on for every thing lots of fine places to eat and drink The Albert for one and ample farm shops around to . We will deffo be back to fellside x
