We stay here at least twice a year and it is the perfect place. Close to the bus and train depot and slap bang in the middle of Windermere. Safe parking at the rear is an added bonus

Cumbria Court is a lovely well maintained appartment, it had everything we needed and so close to everything. The parking is great, secure and off road.

Lovely spacious apartment in a great location with the added bonus of secure parking. Overall we were really happy with our stay at Cumbria Court, but the provision of a hair dryer, tumble dryer, bigger towels and an extra toilet roll would have upped our rating to 5 stars. Property listing should include that there is no lift, so the apartment may not be suitable for the less mobile.

Lovely place to stay, perfect base for the Lakes. Apartment owners supplied lots of local information and instructions for all appliances, which we found really useful.

The property was ideally located, very clean, spacious and well equipped. The door sticks badly which meant we only used the bottom lock when out. An ironing board would be ideal. The towels could do with being bigger as myself and my husband are not big and they dont fasten around us. And maybe a mirror in a bedroom so there is the option of dryingstyling hair without having to stand in the entrance

We stay here every time we come to the lakes, it has everything we need and is in a great location. Handy for the buses or train if that is the way you want to see the sights.

We stay here several times a year and it is always good. Great location and lots of food places nearby if you neead them.

We have stayed here lots of times and we are never disappointed. It is in a great spot, easy for the bus station and close enough to shops and restaurants. We always leave the car and travel by bus everywhere, the car park at the rear of the property is a bonus. We will use this property until we can't manage the stairs anymore.

A great place in the centre of Windermere always clean and tidy we stay here several times a year.

Would highly recommend, modern, very clean, spacious and everything you would need! Nice and central with off road parking. Will probably go back!

The air vent in the bathroom was disgusting, the cooker hood was sticky and dusty and the carpet needed hoovering. Comfortable and good location with parking. We were expected to accommodate the painters to paint the front door and if we werent in they would use their master key. This in my mind is not acceptable. The notice for this was given in an email which being on holiday I dont check every day, so I could have come back in later in the day to find a stranger at the door and the door open. Uncharacteristically I checked my emails on Monday, therefore with the possibility of painters arriving had to forfeit lazy mornings as didnt want to be in nightwear when they turned up. Also had to accommodate the roofers. If maintenance is due on the property either inform me beforehand so I can choose whether to rent or dont let the property that week. Thoroughly unacceptable.

Good location if u want to be near bus station and in Windermere. Bonus for providing parking. Apartment is very dated but has everything you need if wanting to be self catering. Beds were comfortable but the twin beds are not a standard size and are quite narrow, this is because of room size. Only big issues was the keys. Firstly you have to pick them up from Cumbria stays shop which is a big pain as finding a parking space is difficult! this is not stated until booking is complete & you can not access parking space until you get the keys Then go find apartment to find the Yale lock is dodgy. Could not get into apartment after a lot of time wasted and fiddling with locks and door. Had to walk back to shop to get help. This is a known problem so why not just get it fixed and put a new lock on. If arriving late we would have been stranded. Why not just use key safe at apartment?

A great base for our holiday with plenty of places to eat nearby. Comfortable, spacious flat. Our only minor criticisms are that the bedrooms could do with blackout curtainsblinds, and that the towels were very small.

Absolutely lovely apartment stayed twice now and will definitely be returning loved it want to live there x Brilliant location to explore the lakes, close to bus and train station, bars and restaurants in walking distance. And private parking a brucie bonus.

Returning to Cumbria Court for yet another very enjoyable stay in this apartment. Located in the centre of Windermere there are good facilties close by and good roads nearby, to explore further afield.

Very comfortable with everything we need. Have asked Sykes to contact owner as we visit the lakes 5 times a year and would like to stay at Cumbria court everytime.

We found that we had to reset the remoteTV every day.

Centrally located in Windermere, this apartment is ideal for exploring the Lake district. A very comfortable place to stay and with off road parking for a family sized car. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Lovely apartment met the owners last time we stayed. Think it needs bit of an upgrade..Great location. Shame about cleaning, dust under the small table, on the kitchen floor. Bathroom bulbs out. Lady in the office was very helpful.

The instruction booklet was for a washer dryer, but it was a washer only. An airer to dry wet washing wouldve been helpful! Overall a brilliant stay and a superb location!

I think there should be a clothes maiden as there is nowhere to dry clothes after you have used the washing machine. Any slight rain and you couldn't get a TV signal.

Easy booking process and key collection, private parking in busy town a real bonus. Great location with views of fells, very quiet but really close to shops & restaurants. Plenty of walks from doorstep. Well equipped kitchen . Not the most appealing property from the outside but dont let that put you off.

The car parking space which was supposed to come with the property was occupied when we arrived. as this was one of the main reasons we picked the accommodation it was quite disappointing. when we called Sykes to ask for advice somewhere else in the area to park maybe in the meantime, or getting in touch with the owner of the property to ask for help we were told that someone would call us back from the local office, but noone ever did. we ended up waiting around for a while and then having to drive around the area aimlessly until we spotted a parking space we could use overnight. very poor customer service that noone got back to us at all about the issue

Cumbria court was a fabulous place to stay. It was clean, modern, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was excellent for both exploring Windermere and Bowness and easily driving to other parts of the lakes. Would highly recommend.

A very nice apartment on the top floor with everything me and my son needed for a week away . In fact it felt like home from home without any compromises. The owners & Sykes Cottages clearly understand their clients needs as we wanted for nothing.

I appreciated being given early access to the appartment

A good location within Windermere, and the Lake District as a whole. The apartment is clean with decent facilities, although the third floor location could be a problem for some. On site parking is a must around Windermere and this space is also secure. I have stayed here several times before and would certainly be returning in the future.

The flat was exactly as pictured except there was no indication it was up three flights of stairs with no elevator. This proved onerous with heavy luggage. Knowing this ahead of time would have been helpful. The flat was spacious and well equipped but with 2 notable lacks there was no coffee maker of any kind not even the simplest French press and there was no hair dryer, two basic items in most rentals. Also, the refrigerator was a mini, not fullsized, which was fine for us but unexpected in a kitchen of this size. Picking up and leaving the key was easy and the email messages were clear and comprehensive. I did try calling Sykes once after hours with a question about the key return but I just got an endless phone tree and was never able to leave a message. The flat was in an excellent location, right in town but very quiet. Overall, we were very satisfied with it.

Excellent as always. .. the only slight disappointment was there were no bowls in the apartment but the local team sorted it for us straightaway which was appreciated

It was difficult to appreciate how snug the second bedroom was from the picture. It would be fine for two children but was a bit of a squeeze for anyone bigger. The heating was amazing. Otherwise we found the place was well equipped and suited our needs in all areas. Excellent location for a well equipped apartment.

The apartment was clean, well equipped and exactly as it looked in the photos. The position was excellent for the walks we wanted to do in Ambleside, Grasmere and Bowness. Although the apartment is in the centre of Windermere it is quiet and having a dedicated parking space was a bonus. We ate out every night in Windermere and there is plenty to choose from and only a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. We even found a delightful Italian caferestaurant that served an excellent choice of breakfast meals from 8.00 am. Our only negatives were the comfort of the corner suite and the two single beds hadn't been zipped to make a double bed I had telephoned a week before our booking and requested this as it is given as an option in the advertising and been assured it would be done but sadly it wasn't. The apartment definitely contributed to us having a great break.
