A lovely place in the perfect location. Ideal for a 10 second walk into the centre but tucked away from any noise at the same time. Very cosy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time and will look to book again later this year
Shower head needs some attention not very stable
Philip
A very comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of Windermere centre and the bus and train stations for venturing further afield. The only negative was that the shower head didn't sit in it's cradle properly so kept twisting and pointing down so making it difficult to shower. We would be quite happy to book Charlottes Cottage for future breaks in the Lake District.

Lovely cottage in a prime location for Windermere town Parking on road which is really helpful. Full facilities in cottage which was very comfortable. Only slight issue was shower could do with better fixing Overall great place to stay.

Hot water didnt work during our stay, it worked for 1 shower per day and then went off. Cottage was lovely, spacious and clean. Plenty of information about the area and in a perfect position.

The gas heating shut itself off frequently, so it had to be restarted manually. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Lovely cottage with a homely feel , everything you need with extra touches, a little problem with the TV but after contacting Sykes cottages was sorted by maintenance chaps within an hour , that's what I call service , thank you everyone, I will definitely recommend to friends and family and would like to return sometime in the future .

Charlotte cottage was convenient to get out and about. Lots of places to eat close by too. The cottage itself was really nice and had everything we needed as a family of 4. It was rustic and cosy.. I would 100 go back to this cottage. The only down side was the washing machine which just kept washing our clothes and not ending the cycle
Daniel
Great cottage lovey and clean very comfortable and perfect location

Amazing property, felt so homely. Had everything to hand what we needed and great location.
Another lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. We have stayed here several times before it is so convenient to get around from here and some lovely walks nearby. The cottage is immaculate and supplies everything you might need loving the new suite in the cosy lounge. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.
Our stay at Charlottes Cottage was as always, so lovely. This is our 4th stay in this cottage & my parents love everything about it. We loved the new reclining sofa & chair which is a wonderful addition. Looking forward to coming back again next year.

Our second stay at Charlottes Cottage for 4 nights this time and a fantastic stay, lovely central location, permit for parking is a huge bonus, we parked the car on arrival and used public transport for the duration of our stay. Some reviews have mentioned about the front door being a challenge to open, seems to have been fixed as we had no problems whatsoever and there seems to be a new sofa and chair with electric recliners. Shower head could possibly do with replacing though as it does tend to dribble a bit. Small welcome pack with teabags, bin bags, sachets of milk, and a small washing up liquid on arrival was a nice touch, looking to rebook next year again

Gorgeous property, with all the amenities that we needed. It was the perfect location for us with shops and cafs aplenty. The property was exactly as described, clean, welcoming and homely, we felt very comfortable here during our stay.
We had an amazing time at Charlotte's Cottage. Can't understand why some reviews were negative and picky. It was so clean and comfortable, had everything we needed, the quality was of a high standard and the Xmas decorations were lovely. Its a great location, walked everywhere so didn't need to move our car.Weve stayed in lots of cottages in Cumbria but this is up there with the best. We hope to return in the future.

Only thing missing was a snow shovel . ..ha ha we had a lot of snow

Its a lovely Cottage. Ive stayed here three times over the years and appreciate the extra homey touches the Owners provide. It is a bit annoying though that someone who works close shows up several times during the week with her Beamer and takes parking space in front of these Cottages. But thats her rudeness. Not the Owners

We had a fantastic holiday in the lakes staying at Charlottes Cottage. The cottage was perfectly adequate for a small size family in a great location close to everything we needed. Great standards and facilities in the cottage, and the cleanliness was immaculate. Many thanks
Lovely cottage everything you need provided good location had a lovely stay .

Enjoyed our stay and the cottage fulfilled our needs. Cottage was clean. Excellent location in the centre of Windermere and near the train station bus stop for easy access to Bowness Ambleside. Can walk to Bowness also. Limited parking on the street with permit as it's central, but permit allows you to park on other streets within the zone.
A lovely cottage in the heart of Windermere. Very comfortable and clean. Only slight issue was parking even with permit provided but that was expected with it being a popular area. Would be very happy to return

My friend and I booked to stay here and although the cottage was comfortable and in an exceptionally good location there were a few niggles. The main one was actually getting into the cottage in the first instance. Im in my mid 60s and have stayed in many locations but this front door had us stumped. After a phone call to Sykes and some fiddling around we managed to get in. By this time both ourselves and our cases were soaking wet. We decided on a cup of tea before we went to Booths for supplies. We were both disappointed and a little surprised that there was no hospitality tray. No milk, tea, coffee, bread. There were two old looking teabags in a tin and some dried up coffee. The next challenge came trying to get out of the cottage. Difficult when there is no handle on the inside. We worked it out eventually but our first night was spent worrying about accessexiting. All of this could have been alleviated if wed been given instructions. As I said the cottage is in a great location and ideal for the bars and restaurants. We didnt need the fire which was fortunate as no wood was supplied. Plenty of hot water and comfy beds. As this property is a holiday let Id take out all the family photos as that was a bit weird. Id recommend a stay here but take my comments into consideration.

Had a lovely time in a beautiful cosy cottage. Would recommend to friends as it was in a great location close to all shops and pubs. Would definitely book again.

Very cosy and comfortable. Great location in Windermere, not far to walk from the trainbus station, restaurants and cafe's on the doorstep, yet it was a very quiet location. Kitchen fully equipped, fast wifi, helpful staff who showed us the trick to opening the front door pull door towards you and turn the key to the left at the same time and who quickly organised for the shower to be fixed when we requested it be looked at. A few easy walks around the area e.g. Orrest Head, and down to the lake. Buses available to other areas of the Lake District were also close by. My friends and I really enjoyed out stay. Had some trouble paying online via Booking.com which made me panic a bit, but found the phone number given for the Sykes Cottages and they sorted it straight away. I would advise to book through Sykes Cottages site instead!
The cottage is beautiful, and ideally located in the center ideal for pubs and great food. A few things would make it even better. A better welcome pack, more information, a hairdryer would be great, more than 1 toile roll. Recommendations for food & drink would be helpful. We would defiantly come back x

Perfect cottage for our break in the Lake District. Centrally located in Windemere with amenities just a few steps away. Our only issue was struggling to park close to the cottage over the bank holiday. It was just very busy.
Lovely comfortable cosy cottage with everything you need in an ideal place for ... Lovely comfortable cosy cottage with everything you need in an ideal place for all amenities and central for visiting other places
