As a three generational family group, we enjoyed a lovely stay at Catbells. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy everything that The Lakes have to offer including boat trips, long walks, Beatrix Potter, multiple shops, pubs and restaurants, right from the doorstep. Catbells is extremely comfortable with comfy seating, lovely beds, delightful bathrooms and very high quality linen and towels. The downstairs bedroom was most convenient for a disabled member of our family who enjoyed the direct access to the garden. We were exceptionally lucky to be staying at Catbells during a perfect, sunny week and were able to dine outside in the lovely garden every mealtime, including breakfast. There is ample parking for three big cars, which is really convenient in a busy town and the cottage is in a private, quiet situation. Thank you to all for a lovely holiday in the beautiful Lake District. We all really enjoyed our stay.

We all enjoyed our stay at Catbells . . the accommodation was very comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our week together. The snug was brilliant allowing a quiet space when needed. The garden space was just the best, secure and safe for our toddler to roam without worries. Ideally situated for easy walking distance to Windermere & Bowness. Across the road from Catbells a more advanced walk to the lake shore. With other interesting locations just a short drive away, an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. We have already recommended this property to friends.

Great property for a weeks stay with my family. Everywhere was lovely and clean. Lovely quality towels & bedding. Great position between Windermere & Bowness. Both walkable. Bus stop almost outside the door. Good restaurants we visited Broadwalk and Bangkok9 Thai restaurant both in Bowness. Breakfast Home Ground in Windermere was delicious! Would definitely book again!

We had a fantastic week in this beautiful house in a fantastic location. The beds were very comfortable and the house was generally clean, the bathrooms and bedrooms were spotless. We would definitely stay here again, we loved it. Although the sofa looked comfy it is too low and too soft, my elderly parents spent the week sitting on the dining room chairs because they couldn't get up from them. The area between the sofa cushions had not been cleaned and contained fluff and crumbs.

An excellent property! Spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Ideally positioned for walking into Windermere and Bowness we didn't use our cars for three days. A real find! Highly recommend Catbells to others.

This is by far the best Sykes holiday cottage we've stayed in. We cannot fault anything at all. The house was perfect for us, great layout throughout, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean I usually end up cleaning places before we unpack. The house had everything we needed for a much needed break. Also loved that it was tucked away from the roadside, so nice and peaceful, and only a short walk in Windermere. Could do with some signage at end of drive as we drove past it a couple of times. We didn't want to come home and will most definitely book again and would highly recommend anyone to stay here .

Catbells is a delightful property,comfortable clean and has everything provided in this lovely house. Beds very comfortable,linen clean and plenty of space for everyone.Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Cosy snug if you wanted to get away from it all. Nice goodies on arrival thank you Pleasant sitting area to enjoy after a day out. Plenty of parking Close to pubs & restaurants providing lots of choice We throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.

Immaculate newly renovated home in a quiet location 10 mins walk from the town of Windermere. Perfect for a family with 3 luxury showers and 4 loos. Tastefully furnished, minimal clutter, clean and modern with spacious bedrooms. Really enjoyed our stay here as loved the clean comfortable look. We kept missing the entrance all week so a sign on the end of the uphill drive would be helpful for others.
