The Neon Rose Reviews

Second time we have stayed at the Neon Rose and can highly recommend the cottage as everything yet again was perfect
Adrian And Pam
The Neon Rose is a lovely cottage that we are very likely to visit again. It is intelligently furnished and very comfortable. It felt like going home at the end of each day out. It has modern facilities throughout and we slept well every night. The only improvement we could suggest is to have copies of the instruction booklets for each of the electrical devices available to save having to learn by experimentation.

Het was een geweldig verblijf. Een heerlijk huis met alles erop en eraan. Heerlijk schoon. Wij hebben genoten.
Would benefit with a full size ironing board. The back outside space could do with a little TLC, looking very unloved. Better table & chairs would be a start. We were also shocked to find neighbours either side plus dog were in the garden!
Very pleasant stay in an extremely clean, wellkept & modern accommodation. Three minor issues 1 electric hob took some getting used to, 2 garden patio area behind property needed cleanup of dead vegetation, & 3 property lacks a twopin shaver toothbrush socket so had to buy a threepin to twopin converter plug to charge & be able to use shaver & toothbrush. Otherwise pretty much faultless
Brilliant stay in a very nice cottage could not fault anything are stay was excellent
Elizabeth
On arrival we found dirty pans and glasses. Had to put it through the Dishwasher. A few more cooking dishes would have been good. Beds were very comfy, although needs bigger Duvets for the beds. Very homely.
Lovely, comfortable house which was beautifully decorated. Feel an extractor fan is needed when cooking in the kitchen as food smells linger. The listing said a short stroll into Bowness but there are no paths or lights along the roads and its more than a stroll. Only 4 buses a day on that road. It was nice to have some outside space but this could be better kept and enhanced with comfier seating.

Beautiful, clean, love it

Thank you for having us. We had a very beautiful stay in your lovely cottage.
A lovely cottage with luxury touches and finishes to make our stay perfect. Great location for a 15 minute stroll into Bowness along the banks of Windermere.

Excellent property with a very high standard of fixtures and fittings. A credit to the owners who have done a brilliant job renovating and modernising this lovely holiday home. Fab heating system with lounge underfloor heating a wonderful addition. Lake visitors for years and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Shame that next door was in the middle of major interior building changes and rain everyday meant we had to stay in more than normal however the noise wasn't too bad. Cleaning was ok but dust and bits under the sofas was not welcome. Sofas definitely need a good vacuuming. Only negative comments would be difficulty with the boot warmer cupboard lock and the front door needs adjusting to stop the drafts in the hall. All in all a great break and would have no hesitation in booking this 5 cottage again.

The Neon Rose is a real credit to the owners and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Everything was immaculate and everything about the 'cottage' had been considered and well thought through to make a holiday as comfortable as possible. Without a doubt it is one of the very best holiday 'cottages' that we've stayed in and would certainly give many boutique hotels a run for their money! The fixtures and fittings are of high quality, the beds are extremely comfortable, the decor very attractive and the location is good for accessing all areas of the Lakes. Booking through Lakelovers was easy and efficient. Thank you very much to all concerned for making our break so memorable. We will definitely book to stay here again!

The house was simply lovely. All the bits you need for a stay in BownessOnWindermere. With a perfect walk into town. I chose it for the a getaway location away from the busy town. Shower was wonderful. Top marks all round.
Lovely property very impressed with cleanliness, had everything we needed for our short stay, have recommended to friends who also stay in the lakes frequently. Only negative no welcome pack or bottle of wine etc most other cottages we book usually have a welcome gift. But lovely property and would happily book again for a short break.
Catherine
This was a beautiful property in a quiet residential area. Neon Rose Cottage feels brand new inside with fresh carpets, remodelled bathrooms etc really well equipped and nice and modern. The property had everything you would need for a short stay the only problem we had was not being able to find the wheelie bins! We would definitely go back or recommend to others.
We had a fantastic stay at Neon rose , no complaints at all it was a very smooth stay and I would definitely recommend my family and friends to stay in this property! The cottage was very clean and new with all facilities and was very comfortable! No complaints
Joanne
Myself and my friend stayed for a couple of nights in the Neon Rose. We absolutely loved the cottage. It was immaculate, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Best beds ever! Only a short 15 min walk to the lake which was ideal. We are going to book again for next year. Thank you again for an amazing stay
Stephen
We really enjoyed our week at neon rose it is a great property in a good location for Windermere Bowness Ambleside and Grasmere which are all within walking distance of the house.
Rupinder
Absolutely fabulous place to stay, all the mod cons you would ever need. Enough space to spread out and relax as you wish after great long days out and about. First time we have used lakelovers.
This place is truly magnificent. If we lived nearer wed certainly be back. Beautiful and comfortable and fully equipped. So well done to the owners who did their utmost and turned out a stunning place. There were however small niggles and they are all directed at Sykes Cottages. Travelling up on 27 December 2021 we tried to make contact by phone with the management, but other than texting back, no one phones back. The promised mobile number was never received. A comfort call to reassure us was not received. This is a major point actually when it comes to holding hands and reassurance. The resulting six hours travelling up was not an experience wed like to repeat. BTW please leave some washing up liquid on site as well as kitchen paper. Those are cheap additions which can make a big difference.
