Cottage is very close to Windermere. Very comfortably furnished and it was cosy warm with the heating and log burner. There was even fan heaters in the bedrooms but they were superfluous to our needs even though the weather was cold. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. We loved the upside down house with lovely views from the sitting room front windows. Would recommend the cottage.

Spacious warm, comfortable and cosy cottage, the best we've stayed in by far. Lovely furniture, comfortable bed, great fire. Loved the absolute quiet of the location.

We had a lovely stay at Spring Cottage. the cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It was only a very short drive from Windermere and given how busy Windermere was, it was nice to be located just that bit away from it all.

It's absolutely perfect - if you're looking for a holiday cottage in the lake district that sleeps 4 and you're fine with 2 bedrooms, you really can't do better. It's 5 mins from Windemere (where the supermarket is!) but a world away tucked in fields up a lane off the main road. It's on the M6 side of the Lake District, but it's within a 15 min drive of Windemere and Ambleside so lovely and central. And the Lake District is so beautiful that even if you have to drive an hour around a mountain to get to where you want to go, so what? The drive through the scenery and landscape is just part of the fun.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location, yet only minutes from Windermere. It had everything we neededâ?¦comfy beds, comfy sofa, nice bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped although we didnâ??t really use it as we made use of the great pubs in the area. Only thing we found was the views werenâ??t quite what we expected but it didnâ??t bother us too much. Overlooks a farm which didnâ??t appear to be worked. Next time we are in the lakes we would definitely come here if itâ??s available.

Lovely cottage, location great just have to mind the very narrow roads. Bedrooms were lovely and cool, but upstairs was stifling, Wi-Fi wasnâ??t great but manageable.

The cottage is lovely and is very well appointed, there is everything you could want. Washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, double oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher and more. Summer or winter, wet or dry, hot or cold, This cottage really does cater for all year round visitors. The road to the cottage is narrow, but with care it is safe, just look two or three corners ahead when conditions permit. It might be tricky in the winter. The location is nice. It is handy for Windermere being only a 3-4 minute drive. It is however quite isolated and very peaceful which we liked. The big question would I stay again - A GREAT BIG YES

Spring cottage is a lovely cute cottage away from the madness of Windermere. Situated on the nicer side of Orrest Head up a cute country lane. Itâ??s well positioned for walks straight out the door or driving to other great locations. The guidebook in the cottage is very comprehensive with lots of recommendations and tips. We loved the fire even though it was June the weather was rough for a couple of days. The little terrace was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside a couple of times.

The cottage was comfortable, the views not quite as we'd anticipated but we had a good time.

We spent 6 nights at Spring Cottage. This is a well-equipped and very comfortable cottage. We had all the utensils needed to make our meals. Some basic condiments like oil, salt and pepper, vinegar and a few herbs were provided in the cupboard; this made things easy for us. The rooms are cosy, the heating was excellent, lots of books and games are provided for evenings in. The washing machine, which also has a drying option, is very useful for those who stay for a few days. We were able to wash our clothes, as well as the towels, during our stay. We did not have a car, but this was not a problem for. We walked to town or took a local taxi when we needed one.

We really enjoyed our stay A lovely spot in a clean, well cared for property with good access to local walks.

A super cottage in a great location. We were able to walk into Windermere through fields and Orrest Head is easily walkable from the cottage door! The cottage was exceptionally clean and warm despite the snowy weather outside and was very well equipped.

Excellent 4 Night stay for our Anniversary with hubby and his parents the owners thought off everything that you might need .Enjoyed every minute of it

Lovely peaceful cottage half a mile up a narrow lane. Fortunately I only had to reverse twice in the week to a passing place.

This was our second stay at this beautiful, spacious cottage. Had all we needed for a wonderful stay . The owners have thought if everything. Great walks nearby and if you want to go further afield there are regular bus services if your don't want wish to drive. Will definitely be back to stay at Spring in the future

This is a great place for those who want to escape the bustle of the tourist towns. It's peaceful and an excellent base for local walks whilst only a short drive along the lanes to get to Windermere which offers shops,cafes and lots of activities. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and the owners very responsive when needed. We are happy regular visitors!

A beautiful cottage. Very clean and everything you could need was in it and included. A real home from home. Welcome package of wine and shortbread was a lovely touch. I loved having the sheep in the field next door. Loved our time there. Very well situated with Windermere about a 5 minute drive and bowness on Windermere about 10 mins away. Supermarkets nearby so you could bring food back to cook at the cottage.

Great cottage, clean and well equipped. Free internet. Parking is fine at the cottage, but the road to the cottage is a bit of a challenge. The taxi from Windermere station cost £6.50.back after a long walk into the town. Bus £ 2.0 anywhere Just a great place to unwind.

Lovely cottage in a quiet little hamlet about 25 minutes walk from Windermere railway station and bus terminus (we came up on the train). Comfortable and very well equipped. Hope to return soon!

The cottage is very well-equipped and very welcoming. It's in a quiet location and there is a lovely walk to Orrest head that you can do easily from the cottage. We had an issue on arrival which was dealt with swiftly by the owner and Original Cottages who were both very responsive.
