Great location ideally situated for access to popular towns such as Windermere,Ambleside and Grasmere short drives but lovely walks both short and extended including Wainwright's right from the front door! 2 great pubs short walk from cottage serving great food. Beautiful kitchen with breathtaking views from a balcony, sitting there for breakfast, drinks or just to relax and enjoy the sun shining through the bifolds was a joy. Slight negative was neighbours walking past as it overlooked their access path! Bedding,kitchen and bathroom were immaculately clean but some other areas such as dressing tables were dusty and windows were dirty although I appreciate elevation from the back of the house and access was neighbour's garden would make cleaning those problematic. Window seat in main bedroom proved popular with my daughters as a fabulous readingrelaxing spot. Beds were very comfy, duvets too hot for us despite having windows open at night. We found the hot water ran cold quickly even though there was only 2 people staying at any given time and cottage is advertised for 4. Didn't investigate if there was a way to heat more as we managedadjusted but if all 4 of our family had been staying that would have been an issue. Bistro set available to sit in the beautiful garden, setting was so peaceful. I took a dongle to access Netflixstreaming platforms to watch films in the evening as only normal channels and Freeview available. Thoughtful complimentary tray and other gifts were much appreciated such as foil,butter and even a small honey pot. The kitchen had every utensil amenities we needed. All in all a delightful cottage which we will look forward to returning to!

This is the second time we have stayed here and loved it. Lovely cottage in a great location.

Beautiful cottage and garden in picturesque area. Local pub only minutes away. Only a short drive to Bowness and Ambleside so a perfect location. Cottage had all the amenities needed for a relaxing holiday. Cosy with comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Perfect.

Comfortable, clean, well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely beds.

A cosy cottage in a great location with 2 goodSized double bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and parking space. The open fire proved essential to maintain warmth and ambiance but you need to buy lots of logs for a week. We had a problem with the fridge and the owners were really responsive, providing another fridge really quickly as well as repairing the original appliance. Lots of lovely walks from the cottage and Ambleside and Windermere are only a short drive away.

This house is an excellent cottage. Cosy open fire and good heating, well equipped and perfectly located. Stayed with my son for a week of walking and outdoor activiites. Perfect.
