This is a lovely cottage, it was very comfortable and very peaceful and the location was perfect for visiting the surrounding areas and Bowness itself.

Beautiful little cottage. Clean and comfortable. Great amenities and fantastic location for the shops and access to the lake. This is our second visit and we would come back again.

Great position in central Bowness. Everything we could have needed was there. Specific information about restaurantspub etc might have been provided, but we enjoyed eating out at Angel, Trattoria, and Porto ! We had a wonderful week weather helped of course !

Great location for everything. Really enjoyed our stay. Parking was a bit tricky as limited outside the cottages. Overall experience very good and would return.

The upstairs and downstairs heating were not working on the day of our arrival. Only the downstairs heating was fixed after our call the next morning. Overall, a beautiful well equipped cottage. We would stay at Raglan Cottage again. Check out time at 10am was early, an hour later would have been a better time.

Raglan cottage was a perfect base for us. It is a clean, cosy and very comfortable place to stay. Excellent access to public transport bus stop a few minutes away on the main road. At the same time the location is quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend it and hope to stay again.

The Cottage was exactly as described, clean and homely. Beds were confortable. Location for us was great, away from the hustle and bustly of Bowness in a quiet cul de sac. Bowness only a 10 minute walk away. Although parking could be an issue had it been busier. If you use car better to return mid afternoon. With a Bus stop at the end of the road w found it easier to make use of an excellent bus service. Should we return to the Lake District would definately check availabity of this cottage again.

Home from home cottage . Location is first class . Bus stop at the end of the road . The only little hiccup is the stairs coming from the bedroom especially if you have to use toilet in the night .

Had a lovely weekend stay at Raglan cottage, very clean and bed was comfortable. Didn't cook so can't comment on the kitchen facilities although was a little disappointed there was no welcome basket with a couple of sachets of tea coffee. There were coffee cannisters but they were empty. It has a decent shower and plenty of towels. Handy for town and has a parking permitwe didn't need it but the street was crammed full of cars that didn't move all weekend so don't know how you would get a space! There is an outside courtyard with tables and chairs which is a bonus. There is a bus stop at the end of the street. Had a good stay and would return.

Lovely cottage, enjoyed stay. Just lacked little touches, like a welcome pack. Also, no handsoap in kitchen or dishcloth, and a bit mean with toilet rolls!

Lovely cosy cottage central to restaurants, bus services and walkscycling routes. Would definitely return.

This is a wonderful, cosy cottage in the heart of Bowness. So close to shops, pubs, restaurants and the lake. The fire in the cottage was lovely and what you need for it at the shops close by. We all had a wonderful time and great for families with lots of space. We have 2 children 16 and 13 and they loved the cottage.

Raglan was one of the best places weve stayed at, and weve been using selfcatering accommodation for many years the world over. The photos somehow dont do it justice it is a lovely and comfortable home, with all the modcons in top working condition, and an inspired interior that captures a sense of history and place while still giving you a contemporary experience. Location cannot be faulted being in the centre of Bowness and a few minutes walk to the pier. We stayed over New Years and had an outstanding time thank you for the Christmas decor and festive cheer! I fully recommend and would certainly stay again. A small note that the living room table lamps bulb went just on the morning that we checked out didn't affect our stay but will need to be replaced for the next guests. This was our second visit to Raglan Cottage and yet again it didnt disappoint. The cottage is kept to a high standard and is very comfortable. It is central to the shops and restaurants in Bowness on Windermere. With the bus stop at the end of the road you can travel anywhere with ease and is also a very good service.

Great location as just a few minutes stroll right into Windermere. Although difficult to park outside the property, the permit lets you park on the road behind which was sufficient for us. Beds were comfy to sleep in with 3 tvs in the house. Unfortunately the property was not as clean as expected, there was a lot of dust and I found hairs not ours on the bed. The property could do with a deep clean. There was no tea or coffee available, which is normally standard. The washing machine is based in the outhouse which we had to find ourselves as there were no instructions. We werent aware there was an outhouse!

The cottage we rented was out of this world and we cannot wait to return there again in the near future when it is available. The owners should be very proud of creating such a lovely place to rent and its wants for absolutely nothing in terms of contents and its excellent location.

Beautiful cottage which was well located and central. The cottage was well maintained and clean.We had a lovely week staying there and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

Wonderful accommodation. Raglan Cottage was so quaint and inside everything one could wish for to make self catering a breeze. So nice to have brochures not only on how appliances work, a parking permit and details of where to park if parking not available in the street. Also details of things to do in the area. The situation of the cottage is central to everything.

What is not to like? It is a lovely home from home with all of the facilities you might possibly need. Its warm, the beds are comfortable with big rooms, plenty of hot water, nice kitchen and dining room, parking a premium in The Lakes and within easy walking distance for Bowness and its amenities. The cottage is nicely decorated and I have absolutely no complaints at all and look forwards to staying again soon.

A very comfortable cottage . Very clean and warm. Exceptionally handy for the local amenities. We arrived by train and used the bus which stops at the bottom of the street. This was a very good service.

Lovely house, very comfortable with everything we needed, the beds are superb. Parking is the only slight drawback if you need your car close to the property it might not always be possible although there are adjoining streets that are available for parking with the permit provided.

Cottage was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean. Cottage was so near to bowness to walk down to the lake and shops. Walked other way up to Windermere took us about 15mins. Cottage had everything you needed home from home. We managed to park right outside the cottage every time which was great. Beds were very comfy, lovely towels. All in all, we had a lovely stay in a great location in a lovely cottage. Thank you to the owners for owning that little gem.

It was the perfect space for a holiday for me, my sister and our elderly mother. It was comfortable and tastefully decorated and all instructions were clear.

Excellent cottage in a perfect location, just a short walk from the centre, but also very peaceful on a night. We will definitely plan another stay!

Its such a lovely cottage, very homely. We love coming back every year, we always book for the next year as soon as we can to avoid disappointment. Would highly recommend to stay here, everything about it is so nice and always look forward to coming back year in year out

This was a wonderful property, very cozy, comfortable, and convenient. It was a lovely place to stay for my first time in the Lake District and felt like home. I appreciated the instructions throughout the cottage on how to use appliances, etc. The hot water was a bit lukewarm. In all other respects it was a perfect stay!

The cottage was perfect, however we had a small issue with the water temperature, the supply of hot water was not consistent and mostly ran cold or warm at best. I emailed you Lakes Cottages on Tuesday to see if we needed to adjust anything and I received no reply. So in summary the cottage was marvellous which is a credit to the owners, but let down by the letting agent not been helpful when there was an issue.

We were so lucky. 8 days and 7 nights holiday didnt have any rain, it was sunshine every day, made our journey especially enjoyable. The location is brilliant, near lots of attractions and local shops and restaurants. I really want to appreciate the team who manage their house. I left my sunglasses over there, they found it and posted it back to me, this is short sight sunglasses and really important to me. Thanks again for helping me get my glasses back.

A lovely cottage & we would definitely stay again. Location is perfect, we liked the walk up & down into the main town. The only bad thing was all the towels had a foisty smell & an electric towel rail would be beneficial as having 2 showers a day they didnt dry. Next time we would just take our own towels so its no big issue.

Great location, quite cottage, very clean

All good except there was really no parking available at all and we had to park in the pay parking all week.

Raglan Cottage was great perfect location walking distance to Bowness & Windermere on the bus route too. Cottage itself was spacious, lovely and welcoming, warm & clean on arrival. The weather as you would expect for late October was very wet on couple of days and could have been tough especially with a small child but this didn't matter to us in our 'home away from home', we had come prepared with our DVD's & games so were able to entertain ourselves. Log burner looks lovely but wasn't needed as the cottage is kept at a good temp throughout. Would definitely recommend to family & friends only downside was the parking & although we fell lucky with parking and were able to park on the street, I hadn't realised how tight this would be.
