Great cottage , good location , will book again Jeff
Maxine
Lovely cottage. Everything you need. Perfect location. Just needs a bit of TLC in areas. The fridge needs some attention. The door would not close fully when door shelves in use. Super comfy bed. We would stay here again.

Great location for exploring Windermere and the surrounding location, handy to have the parking permit. Facilities are fairly basic, wifi average at best, but house was clean and comfortable.
Christopher
A lovely cottage in a great location. We thought a welcome pack would have been useful, bread milk etc . Minor cleanliness and maintenance isues need to be addressed, marks on the walls, kitchen window leaks, a proper kitchen table,a towel to dry hands in kitchen .Suggest they move table there outside and enhance the area wuth nice pot plants etc . The showers are compact and need a little shelf for shampoo, razor etc as items fell out of the basket .Just minor issues that we thought can be easily remedied. However on the whole we enjoyed our stay,we were very grateful for all the information on the local attractions walks etc.The town was very nice, everybody we met helpful and friendly. Bowness is a short walk away to enjoy the lake. The bus service from the train station to other locations was excellent value for money. We would return to this cottage in future should we visit again.
We loved Myrtle cottage and its central position. Love the photos that had been printed on canvas in the lounge area. Great having two enquires. Will come back again but please sort out the list below. Bad points the cleaning 1. the utility floor was filthy. 2. The oven and grill was dirty too. 3. the toilet brushes were dirty and soaking in two inches of sewage water. 4. On leaving, when stripping the bed there was several spots of blood staining on the undercovermattress protector. 5. The back yard, I ended up sweeping the leaves and dirt up, so that we could use it. 6. we had to buy a small wok as there were not enough pans to cook a meal.
It's a great location and a comfortable house. The broadband is incredibly slow. The pots pans need an update. Leave a single basket of logs in winter even if you have to add a tenner to the cost of a stay. Leave more than one loo roll in each toilet. Maybe leave some basics like cooking oil, salt and pepper. Some tea bags and a pint of milk would have been a nice touch.

Lovely cosy cottage. Clean and well appointed. Close to local amenities in Windermere would definitely stay here again.
Christine
We have a fantastic stay, close to all shops and lovely places to eat. The cottage was lovely, comfy beds and very clean.kitchen well equiped and of course doggie friendly ! The only draw back, which spoilt our evenings,as the weather was amazing! Was the back yard area.very scruffy..rusty chairs, old wooden table,a large garden box outside back door?? Shrubs overgrown.old bbq rusted and full of water. And a string of lights just thrown on the wall. We understand that as its dog friendly, the back needs to be hosed down.. but really ?
Andrew
Great property in a really central location , would definitely book again
Christopher
Great location and house. We had a great time. Got to take your own toiletries, coffee, milk etc which is a shame but understandable.
Brian Malcolm
