Lexington House Reviews

Matthew
This was the perfect base for our stay, we couldnt find fault with anything and the best endorsement I can give is that all 6 of us said we would happily stay here again.
Beautiful house, perfect for exploring the Lake District. The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived with everything you need for a lovely stay. Thoroughly recommend to anyone. Everything is so well looked after. Thank you for the lovely welcome gifts too. We look forward to staying again the future.
Lindsey
An excellent stay in a beautiful property in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of Bowness pier and all the amenities in Bowness. Great communication from the owners throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Fabulous property, very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen, outdoor bbq area great for family gatherings. The house is in a perfect location to enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer.
Fabulous property, location and facilities. Everything clean, modern and well thought out. A real home from home. The ensuite bathrooms were a great touch for our party. Ample secure parking and enclosed garden. Well stocked bathroom and kitchen cleaning products, the best Ive ever experienced. The welcome tray was also a nice touch thanks Otto. Fantastic location, lovely and quiet, a short stroll downhill to the town, but be prepared for the uphill climb back, especially if any of the party has mobility problems. A nice play park down the road if you have little ones. Also a few nice walks behind the property to enjoy on a dry day. The only minor negatives were the dining area not comfortable for older guests and a bit small for 6 people and the lack of microwave dishes casserole dishes with lids. Overall a fabulous property in a great part of Bowness. We look forward to returning one day.
A wonderful week at the beautiful Lexington House. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard, its extremely clean and in a great location, a few minutes walk and youre in Bowness. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us, the lights were on and the heating too. The beds are comfortable and all the homely details provide the finishing touches. Thanks to Otto and the owners for a very enjoyable stay, I would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.
Gillian
Beautiful comfortable place. Dining table is a little difficult to sit at. If you are larger or disabled you would not be able to use.
Caroline
Otto was informative and friendly. We had a lovely welcome card with snacks upon arrival and clear access instructions with photos regarding the key box and electronic gate code. The cottage is lovely. Fully equipped kitchen including washer, dryer, dishwasher, espresso machine. Lounge has a lovely log burner. Ample parking for several cars. Location is superb, on a hill directly above the town centre. There were laminated information sheets with WiFi code, recommended restaurants and activities. My only minor! suggestion would be to include a shower shelf hanging basket for shampoo etc in the bathrooms. Everything else has clearly been thought through to every last detail, beautifully cared for property.
This is a firstrate rental property in every way. The house is beautiful and kept spotlessly clean. All the amenities you could wish for are available and this is backed up by a very friendly and helpful property manager, Otto, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Small things also make a big difference, such as comfortable beds and pillows. Most likely the best UK rental property we have had with Sykes so far. Thanks to Otto and the owners for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Lexington House. The House is beautifully set out and everything has been thought through, we even had ice cubes ready for us, which was super appreciated after a long drive!! The location is perfect, just a short walk into Bowness. We would definitely stay again without hesitation.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The house was delightful. Perfect location, clean, tidy, well equipped, spacious the list goes on. Well definitely be staying again, thank you!
Perfect weekend away Myself, husband and family spent the weekend at Lexington house for my husbands birthday this weekend. Although the weather wasnt the greatest, we had a wonderful weekend. We like to come and visit the Lakes quite often, but Lexington house made our stay this time round. Cant fault anything at all. Great communication with Rebecca & Phil who are always on hand to answer any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. We will definitely look at coming back in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay x
Absolutely amazing property, lovely furnished and in a fantastic location. Rebecca and Phil were very responsive and helpful whenever we required assistance. Would 100 recommended staying here
Our stay at Lexington House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Our hosts Rebecca & Phil were amazing in terms of communication, information and they made us feel right at home. The house itself is wonderful with literally everything we needed and it has a real homely and modern feel to it as you will see from the pictures. For those with little ones there is space for a travel cot in all 3 bedrooms and our hosts provided a stair gate which was a lifesaver! The location is excellent and was definitely a big deciding factor for our stay, it was perfect! We stayed in early January and although the weather outside was very bitter, the memories of this little break are anything but! We loved our stay at Lexington House and made lots of very happy family memories to cherish. We hope to stay again soon. Thanks again to Rebecca & Phil
PreChristmas visit An excellent stay was had by all. The house is stunning and the area a delight.

Lexington House is beautifully appointed, well equipped and ideally located for a short stroll into Bowness. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and homely, we would be happy to recommend to anyone. Great communication with Otto who was readily available and helpful. We look forward to a return visit in the near future. Ben, April and family.
An amazing place to stay! We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Lexington House in Bowness and it was absolutely perfect. A fantastic location for exploring the Lake District, and walking distance in to Bowness. The location couldnt have been any better. The house itself is absolutely spotless and well equipped for families. We were a family ranging from 70s to a 16 month old and it was perfect for us all. The children especially loved toasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire. Communication was perfect from start to finish. Thanks so much again
Lindsay
Great property, great location only a small issue was the table in the lounge was a little bit tight to get in and out we are small so was fine but could see this being an issue for other people. House had everything we needed and was well decorated, beds comfy too. Would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful week in Lexington House, thank you for the welcome pack. The house was immaculate with everything provided for a party of 6. So relaxing, after arriving, the 'oldies ' in the party didn't use our car until the journey home. Younger members of the party 40 plus! Enjoyed kayaking and tackling some of Langdale Pikes! Restaurants, pubs and shops all within walking distance from the house. Used boats, buses and walking boots to visit many picturesque villages! Thanks for a memorable holiday.
Lexington house is absolutely lovely even better than the pictures on the website, we were left a lovely welcome pack and card from the owners, the house has everything you need and more, cleanliness is top notch, plenty of parking which takes the stress away, all in all a lovely stay would not hesitate to recommend this property, can't wait to go back.
The property was beautiful and whilst we didnt use all the facilities, I imagine the outdoor patio in the summer would be a brilliant place to chill out. The location is spot on, close enough to everything Bowness and Windermere have to offer yet peaceful in its own right. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Robert
My family and I spent a week here in this beautiful house to celebrate a special birthday, the brochure pictures do not do it justice. The location is perfect although there is a hill down to the town, but not too bad. The beds are super comfy with good quality bedding, great to flop into after a great day in stunning Bowness. We would most definitely recommend this property.
