We had the best time at Deer Wood! Weve stayed in a few of the Applethwaite Hall apartments and this one is just lovely! The photos dont do it justice! Its such a big space, has everything you could need and is really comfortable! Like a home from home!! I would love to stay in the summer to make use of the outdoor area too! We will definitely be back!

The apartment was spotless. On arrival, the bottle of wine and cookies were appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and together with the quilt made for a very good night sleep. All the fittings were top level. All over a very comfortable stay and certainly word book again.

Beautiful property. The location is perfect. Quiet but close enough to Bowness for restaurants etc. My husband and I loved it so much we extended our stay twice! Very dog friendly. Will definitely book again next year.

A lovely property that had everything we wanted and more. Very comfortable and beautifully presented with lots of personal touches. Close to Windermere but set in a peaceful location to escape the crowds. We are looking forward to returning.

Deer Wood was a lovely place for mum and I to stay with our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The apartment was clean, comfortable with everything we needed. It was a bonus being able to sit outside in the sunshine and appreciated the information for cushions and outside furniture. Lovely touch with the bottle of Prosecco.

Great apartment in a lovely country setting and lovely walks around the property. The apartment is beautiful and well maintained with everything you could need for a great stay. Would like to thank the owners for the lovely Christmas decorations and the presents they left for my stay. Would definitely recommend deer wood for a fantastic stay.

Lovely apartment just 5 minutes outside Windermere. Great views front and back. Fantastic kitchen. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud! We stayed for 6 nights with our dog. It is a dog friendly apartment but it rained every day and we did fret about making sure she was very clean and dry before coming inside as it was immaculate and we wanted to leave it that way... There is a dog wash area but you can not get to it safely if its very wet and slippery as you have to climb over a fence and wall to get to it. This being said we would 100 recommend this beautiful apartment.
