Great cottage in fantastic location, unrestricted parking, pub next door, will book again.

The cottage size was adequate for the 3 of us but would have been small for 6 in our opinion, especially the area where the dining table is & the size of the fridge freezer. It was nice to have a dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer. We parked at the back on a couple of occasions to charge the car. The owner kindly came to mow the grass & move an item left by the builders from 2 doors away so we could access the rear parking area. We appreciated him promptly responding to our call & he was very friendly. We managed to park in the hatched area by the bus stop mostly & this was better than crossing the busy main road. The location is good for local attractions including footpaths from the cottage, a new crazy golf over the road with Townend & Brockhole just a short drive away.

I would like to know where you were supposed to eat your meals the dining table had been removed that was displayed in the brousure plus the fridge they must have got it out of a dolls house we cut our stay short and come back home my wife wasnt very happy with the cottage .

Advert stated dining table and chairs but there was none. Outside dining only had one bench and no chairs. Fridge was too small. We were only a party of 3 and it was too small for us. The property is 6 berth sodeffinatelt too small for that. Unable to park at rear as end property building work scaffolding severly restrcted if not blocked access. Parking opposite the property as suggested by sykes was not always available and even so it was an extremely busy road to cross when parked opposite. Property location was good for visiting the surrounding areas. Bus stop right outside property which was good. The property was clean on arrival. The neighbourwe only met the lady in the attached end property was lovely and really friendly The shower was a good size and good power The bedrooms were comfortable The washing and drying building was good

Lovely clean property, excellent location for Ambleside and Windermere, very comfy beds and a good shower. Plenty of parking, would definitely stay here again

We really loved Calgarth View because its not directly in Windermere or Bowness which means parking is much more convenient , EV charging is a real bonus though we dont have an EV. The house is cosy , clean , comfortable and tastefully modern . Some lovely walks nearby and beautiful Troutbeck village is close . Very handy to have a Spar nearby with a filling station and bus stops right outside . Nice modern heating controls also so easy to use . The bedrooms are big beds are brilliant and great views both front and back. We were very impressed with the oven . Absolutely no hesitation in giving Calgarth View 100 feedback . Easy to get to Windermere , Grassmere , Hawskhead and Ambleside.

Booked a week before for 2 days over Easter. The property is comfortable and clean with all round good facilities.About 1.5 Miles to windemere and a little further to bowness so well positioned. There is a bus stop outside also if your tired of walking. There is a pub next door but unfortunately the kitchen is closed which would have been beneficial for food

After the initial confusion our stay at this cosy well situated cottage was superb. We were privileged to be the first guest at the recently refurbished cottage and was impressed at the how equip it was. The location was perfect allowing easy access to both Windermere and Ambleside either by car or the extremely convenient bus. Our stay at this beautiful and wonderful cottage was made even better by the special care and consideration from Ian the owner. Thank you. We highly recommend this cottage to make your holiday to the Lakes even more memorable. We will definitely be back.
