Treetops Reviews

The apartment was very clean and welcoming. It's very spacious with all the home comforts. There are shops and restaurants very nearby. The apartment is within walking distance to lake Windermere. Would definitely recommend Treetops for future guests.
Steven
Lovely and warm Close to sainsburys and coop Clean throughout Smart TV Recommended Shame about the 5PM check in time .
We enjoyed our stay at Treetops. My wife wasn't keen on the stair climb but the rest of us didn't mind. It is a lovely bright clean apartment we enjoyed spending time in. The bed was really comfy giving a great nights sleep every night. The good sized lounge and a dining table, which the four of us could all sit round, was the winning factor, making us choose Treetops over other properties we had shortlisted.

Found the apartment extremely clean, very warm and cosy. We had everything we needed ,kitchen well equipped. You can just glimpse the lake through the trees but now they are in leaf it will be difficult. Location is excellent so close to everything, the shops pubs restaurants just a short walk. We cut through the back of Sainsburys straight into the town! There is a Co Op, and Booths up by the station. Two nice parks to take a walk in, one just outside the apartment. Love the electric gates, but parking space a bit tight. Took a bus ride to Grassmere, 2 each great fun! Duvet needs to be larger as one person hogs it! Net curtain in bedroom is torn needs replacing and toilet needs attention, difficult to flush! This was mentioned in the visitors book in Sept 2022! Also annoying having to get out of bed to turn bedside light off! The decor is a bit dated but none of the above detracted from our enjoyment of our stay. Thank you would recommend!
Had a great stay in your flat. Enjoyed the cosiness, nothing to complain about.
We had a fabulous stay at Treetops! The space is exactly as shown in the photos, the newly laid carpets gave this thoughtfully decorated flat a fresh feeling, and it was always warm we did a full Christmas dinner with the kitchen. Fully recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you for an amazing time.
Perfectly located top floor flat in central Windermere with shops, supermarket and TrainsBuses a 5mins walk so if you don't have a car it's an ideal spot to explore the Central Lakes. It's a good sized, v clean apartment & while lucky to be staying during a heatwave, the only thing missing was a fan.
Nicole
Really great property. ..very clean and kept us fit going up and down the stairs! Narrow parking spot but we managed. Lovely place, in heart of Windermere, would definitely recommend!
Graeme
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay extended to 2 weeks and would definitely recommend this flat. Comfortable, clean, warm and very well situated near the centre of Windermere.
Brilliant apartment! Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable with a great selection of books and maps to look through. Was the perfect base for our week exploring the lakes with the train and bus station, booths and sainsburys local all just round the corner. We just had to buy kitchen roll and extra loo roll. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back next time if it's available.
Geoffrey
A lovely clean well equipped holiday let. Although we did have a big problem with the toilet flush. Needs proper attention. Found staff at Lakes cottages extremely helpful . We feel arrival time should be Three oclock and departure time Ten oclock. Would highly recommend this property.
Leslie
Very spacious and comfortable third floor flat. A lift would be a bonus. Very convenient for the town and buses. A real bonus is the gated parking.
Excellent location, very near to Windermere lake and next to good restaurants.
Geoffrey
I booked this flat for our son and family who were holidaying with us in Windermere for 2 weeks. Very pleased with the flat although not so pleased with the washing machine which didn't work throughout the 2 week period. It was actually fixed the day before they flew home! the shower also left a lot to be desired but apart from these two hicups, the place was great.
Hannah
Lovely stay, thanks
A lovely spacious, comfortable and well equipped apartment. Location couldnt have been better for the town and ease of getting around. Great walks nearby and brilliant bus routes.
Excellent property, lovely location gated car park. Only negative was stairs with 2 young kid's. Would go back though so wouldn't put us off.
Collection of the keys was really easy and the office is located very central in Windermere. The private car park was very much appreciated as it was very busy when my girlfriend and I visited. We ate out all 2 days but there were plenty of amenities to cook if needed with plenty of space for 4 people. Everything was very well kept and clean so I couldnt fault the place. Only aspect to consider is that this apartment is located on the third floor with quite a few steps to reach the top, so probably wouldnt be suited to those less physically able. We would definitely return to this apartment. Thanks!
Good points Central location back gate literally one minute from main street, secure own parking spot, quiet except for yapping dog in another flat, very clean, and comfortable. Lounge has books, a few DVDs, board games and plenty of local guides and maps. In addition there are new sofas, so the comment raised last year has been addressed. Kitchen area is well equipped, and unusually has a number of casserole dishes and measuring jug. Washerdrier, microwave cooker, dishwasher etc with dishwasher tablets and nonbio laundry detergent. Make sure you find the intructions to all the equipment as they are not laid out but slightly hidden in a binder on the bookshelf! Good wifi. There were a few condiments in the cupboard and also handwash plus sanitiser. Property well lit although on the third floor windows do not provide sufficient light when very cloudy. Photos accurate. The local staff at the offices where you pick up the keys were very helpful with a small issue I had and are only 2 mins walk away. Not so good Getting through to Sykes via their switchboard is difficult long telephone waits. Information about their local offices is difficult to find only found out the opening hours of the Windemere office by looking at the sign in the window 9am to 5pm. In addition others have mentioned the property is on the third floor with no lift. Absolutely fine for most, less able may struggle.
1. Well spread out layout and exactly what we had seen. Most of the facilities matches what we saw in the listing details 2. Lovely apartment in itself, though 3 flights of stairs could be a challenge for most guests, especially the elderly ones. Unfortunately this isnt visible in most listings and you realise only after the booking which also was non refundable in our case. 3. Loved the roominess and open kitchen plan. All rooms were sufficiently lit too, so we could do with minimal lighting energy 4. All fittings, electricals were working well, so family was happy it had a fully functional kitchen and hot water to bathe 5. Sofas were sinking in, so may need a repair or replacement. 6. Stocking of basics like salt, seasoning spices, sugar in the kitchen and additional soaps and toilet rolls in the bathroom seems a minimum standard everywhere, so was taken aback when we realised we had to stock it all ourselves. 7. Most properties even offer simple addons like bread, butter, kitchen tissues. Doesnt cost more than a fiver but goes a long way in comforting the guests and lets them settle in with a better first impression. Most would also then leave something back and this works well on a rolling basis

Tree tops was the ideal place to stay for the Southern Lakes. Apart from the 42 steps up which we knew about and decided not to let that bother us, it was perfect. Also appreciated the OS Maps and bags of info. Thankyou
Magdalena
The apartment was slightly dated but very spacious, clean and fully equipped we were pleasantly surprised. The offstreet parking was very convenient and the apartment location was excellent. The only downside was the sixth floor without a lift.
Richard
Lovely well equipped and comfortable apartment. Close to restaurants and access to local walks.

Amazing place Beautiful people

The central location, with secure offroad parking was a real bonus. The flat was spotless and cosy yet spacious enough and with clear information and instructions where needed. Lots of useful books and tourism leaflets to browse and some DVDs and games. We were very pleased to find a dishwasher and washerdryer with detergent provided, and the flat in general was amply stocked with everything needed. The beds were comfy and the kids loved the bunk beds with wall lights. The nonslip tape on the ladders was thoughtful and there were several little touches like this that showed the owner's consideration. Yes, the furnishing is a little dated, but you expect that with properties like this and it was far outweighed by the homeliness, cleanliness and location. We would definitely come again and stay longer.
Overall nice apartment in a quiet location and very convenient for travelling around the lake. staff friendly and helpful. But the apartment could do well with an up grade. Both tap in the kitchen sink were broken, sofa bed was broken and no comfortable sitting. No bin bags
I hope you can prepare oil salt or kitchen knife . Thank you.
Tetsuya
Excellent accommodation! I stayed with my parents who, both, liked great comfort here. Its fullfledged kitchen facilities were also satisfactory which we used for our breakfast and dinner. One small tip is that there were a few dusts in several corners of the living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom that we could not ignore. It was a minor negative point and rest of them fabulous.
Comfortable apartment and very quiet area. Lots of good eating in Windermere and Bowness.
