There was a time when a degree of hospitality was given when hosting guests. Now there aren't even the basics of milk in the fridge or working batteries in the TV remote.

We love coming to tree tops. Been several times & booked for next year. 2 things though, first the bed is so noisy, I mean every time you turn over it squeaks & wakes you up. There seems to be a mattress topper but it's under the mattress not on the top. Also even though we don't cook a meal we wanted to warm croissants up but the oven didn't work & couldn't find the switch on the wall for it or instructions on what to do which was frustrating. Apart from this it's a nice comfortable stay. Hope the bed is sorted for next year.

Whilst the following did not detract from our enjoyment I do not believe your property description mentions that no lift is provided and 36 stairs need to be climbed to reach this apartment.

Super apartment in Bowness, really enjoyed my stay here. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quiet, well equipped including a very convenient parking space and only seconds from the centre of the town and all the restaurants and pubs. A few minutes walk to the lake and jetty too. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or to stay there again.

The only negative was there were 2 lemon diffusers in the property which we had to put outside the door as the scent gives me a headache & sickness. We put them back as we left .

Idea place to stay in bowness the stairs werent too bad but omg the smell! When we first opened the door we thought maybe it hadnt been used for a while might need airing but unfortunately the two hand towels, the bath towels, the tea towels and the bedding all smelt disgusting the place its self was lovely besides the big black foot prints in the shower that needed to be cleaned off the smell was a really bad smell of dirty towels and bedding we thought maybe if we sprayed air fresheners so bought some but no by the second night I couldnt stand the smell so as you can imagine was very sleep deprived which ruined are stay you really need to use washing powder when washing thats if they had been washed lovely little place would of definitely stayed again if it wasnt for the smell and dirty floor throughout a real shame as its in an ideal spot for a lovely stay in bowness

The flat is tastefully decorated and well equipped. It is in a very central location and best of all comes with parking. Ill be returning.

The apartment was very cosy, clean, and incredibly well located it was a great base which we could go back to while exploring Windermere. Wed definitely stay again!

This was exactly as described in the write up! Even the stairs upto the apartment. This didn't put us off as the route to the main road and lakeside was literally a 3 minute walk! All the pubs, some with live music, and eateries you could ever want are just 5 minutes down the road toward the lakeside, where there are boat trips with fantastic views and other entertainment to keep you happy. A Coop and Tesco extra are also on the main road for those little bits that you may need, although there is a welcome pack that is good when you arrive. Lots of everyday items available to use in the kitchen making breakfast by the window lovely. The rooms were a good size with plenty of storage. Quiet at night even though it's so close to the main areas. Only draw back was the Internet and no visible welcome advice booklet which we did eventually find. Have to say it was amazing for location and would suggest it to family and friends!

Thank you for the 3rd floor flat it was fabulously resourced, super clean, brilliant use of space and the extra throws were a nice touch in chilly February! We were hoping for a dvd player as listed but the catch up TV was great. Wonderful quiet location and good parking. The heavy front door was a surprise but needed for fire safety. We had a lovely break, thank you. Would certainly recommend.

Nice quiet apartment with everything you need close to town and lake

Treetops is a centrally located apartment at the top of the block. Not for the less abled who may struggle with stairs. Whilst we were there, we found the apartment comfortable and clean and everything we needed. The only thing I would say is I would prefer a washing machine to a dishwasher because I hate coming home with loads of washing to do. We didn't use the dishwasher at all as barely used anything. But that is of course a personal thing. I would definitely recommend Tree Tops it's so close to the town centre and the sofa is so comfy, we relaxed on it during many rainy days in November!

Location is brilliant 4th time here and back again next June but the 32 steps are telling now

Amazing location, minutes away from the lake! I loved the thoughtful additions in this property, like the fan for hotter days and extension leads! Everything went really smoothly with our time there and everything worked as expected. Definitely keep in mind the 3 flights of stairs though as this would be difficult for someone less able. Just a few minor notes The floor was a bit dirty so I had to keep my slippers on otherwise my feet would be gross a bit annoying after showering but not a deal breaker! It could maybe use a blanket on the sofa just to make it more cosy? It wouldve been nice to know some of the things included beforehand so we didnt pack as much and walk it up them stairs!

We found the apartment to have everything we required and was as advertised. It was very clean and we appreciated the few finer items like handwash, washing up liquid etc. being provided. Being centrally situated with parking was very convenient to all amenities in Bowness. We very much enjoyed our week and would seriously consider staying here again when we return to this area.

A neat compact apartment near to everything that you would need in Bowness. This was the third time I have stayed here, so it's obviously something of a favourite, and I will certainly come back again. Also a first in all the properties I have stayed in over the years knives in the kitchen that are actually sharp enough to cut!

A wonderful apartment ideal for visiting the Lakes. Centrally located in Bowness and very close to all amenities. Parking spot is a bonus. Close to a main road, so slightly noisy, but not enough to spoil any enjoyment of the location.

The apartment was really nice, and in a fantastic position for Bowness town centre and facilities. The apartment was excellent apart from the cleanliness of the toilet, other than that we had a brilliant holiday.

Couldnt fault it it was right on the doorstep to the town of Bownesson windermere. A 5 minute walk to lake windermere and Beatrix potter experience literally next door. most places of interest only being a short drive away

When we booked the apartment, there had been no recent reviews, prior to our departure, there were a couple of recent ones. On seeing these that may have affected our booking of the apartment, but that was too late. The apartment is located in a very good place for shops, restaurants etc, there are many steps into the apartment. The bed mattress in our opinion was too soft, the dining room chairs you sank right down into them as you sat down, we were aware of the sink in the shower room being too small from a recent review which we agree with. On the whole the place was just big enough for 2 people.

We loved our stay at Tree Tops. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Parking was a bonus and the location could not have been better. We highly recommend.
