We spent a lovely few days staying a Lily Cottage at the end of October with our two sons. The cottage is really nicely furnished it actually surpassed our expectations from the photos was spacious and very well equipped with everything we could need. Its well located for both Windermere and Bowness, as well as being a good base for the wider lakes and we had no issues parking, always getting a spot within a few metres on the street. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

This is a very comfortable holiday home in a good location. Parking available outside the door more or less. Handy for both Windermere and Bowness. Decor was very nice and a well stocked kitchen in terms of glasses, plates etc. A coffee machine would be an added bonus, last few places we have booked has had one. Adrienne the owner contacted us prior to our stay, which was a nice touch and also very helpful. We had some excellent visits, there is a good bus service nearby so you can park up your car and avoid the expensive parking charges.

Comfortable and well equipped cottage on a quiet street, ideally located for Windermere, within easy reach of Grasmere and beyond. All you need for easy catering one of the few places we've found with decent sized mugs, sharp kitchen knives and a vegetable peeler our essentials!. Helpful and responsive host. Great to have easy parking outside. Near a play park and walks from the door. Good meal at The Brookside pub nearby. Overall a great place to stay.

I feel that there should be another bathroom upstairs, it would be a nuisance If there is 3 couples to keep going down stairs thru the kitchen to shower, this is mainly because I usually stay in cottages with onsuit, the cottage is very nice, i would say more for a family than mixed friends, so unfortunately I won't stay here again.

Lovely cottage to stay in, not far from Windermere with a range of lovely shops and places to eat. Lovely boat rides in Ambleside which is not that far away. Adrienne responded quickly to any queries I had this contributed to how I rated our experience. I would recommend this cottage to others.

Lily Cottage is a lovely holiday home that had everything we needed for our Easter break. It is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Good communication from the owner and the location is 15 mins walk to Windermere cruises and local to pick up any shopping from Sainsburys & Booths shops. Would highly recommend this 5 holiday home.
